FUELs are the most "hardcore" kite in Slingshot's line, meaning they have the least amount of depower, etc. Not saying it's impossible to learn on a FUEL (as a lot of us, including myself did back in the day), but I can almost guarantee that you'll progress faster if you started on a hybrid or bow (REV, T2, or T3).

In the end, if you're looking for something a little more forgiving then a FUEL, with a tad more freestyle than the REV, the new RPM may work for ya! :-)

I'm about the same weight (145) and got by riding REVs last season (7/9/11) here in the Gorge. Being that you're talking a bit lighter winds most of the time, if you stick with SS, I'd go with a REV 11, RPM 12, or FUEL 13. They all should have pretty comparable lowend and are what I'd be riding in that sort of wind.

It a re-orchestrated version of "requiem for a dream" (a.k.a "lux aeterna") from the movie of the same title. The remix was for lord of the rings: two towers, i think its called "requiem for a tower" or something. The original, for the film, was composed by Clint Mansell. That should help you find it :)

BEAUTIFUL editing. Amazing stunts as well. Very nicely done. But come on, Lux Aeterna? In my opinion the song doesn't fit what you're trying to portray. You guys should have used something far more upbeat. Your skills need an appropriate song. Just FYI, the song was renamed Requiem for a Tower and was only played during The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers official 12 minute trailer, but not in the movie. Of course, it was originally scored as the leitmotif for Requiem for a Dream.

I did most of the filming at the Rufus ponds (and all of the follow cam from the ski while Amery was driving). Amery shot the big loop day and Shy did the slider stuff at Hood River!
