Blur is more like Mario Kart than Split/Second. In this game we affect the scenario, in Mario Kart and Blur we affect the other racers directly.

it's quite a decent game. Haven't played a Mario Kart since the SNES, so I compare this as a mix between Burnout with a dash of NFS... but mainly burnout. But, I like the explody bits, track changers and the like. I just hate those challenges with the car they pic and you have to beat the time.. those just annoy me, it's a personal thing.

So this game was advertised last year? Took it long enough to come out! But I don't buy racing games anymore at all. I would if it CONSTANTLY had explosions and crap but it doesn't. It's just like 3 spots a map and for some reason you get to do those same ones over and over again even though it's already been blown up, as shown. Racing games are so boring.

Game looks interesting, like a nice mix between Burnout and NFS almost...the environment reaction effects are cool, and remind me of a NFS game where you could take down like scaffolding supports to have the rest come down on the car or cops behind you. same question as AcidTears though, what is the customization level for vehicles? is there any tuning? parts swapping? or is it just colour swatching?

it's not death race, it's not affiliated with death race, and aside from a very slight similarity in the fact the drivers can trigger events (death race didn't work like that with the exception of the part where they took down the dreadnaught) it is nothing like deathrace. Cars in this are race cars, they dont have armour and they don't have weaponry. You either watched the film or the trailer with your eyes shut.
