I'm 17 and Ive always taken Spanish classes and I know Spanish really good, but I wish I would've taken German, do you think it's a bit too late? and if not what are some good ideas or ways to start learning the language?, thank you!

@juliegirl1989 The hall gives a more personal experience than larger cities such as Berlin or Hamburg. Being a smaller town there is less English spoken so one is forced to attempt their German more often. I do however love Berlin! It is a wonderful place to have a good time! - Jim

In high school I went to Goethe Gymnasium in Duesseldorf as an exchange student.
That trip sucked. I got like no help at all from my hosts, they rarely fed me. I got lost in the city like a dozen times with nobody to call. I ended up walking like 5km home from a store when I missed a bus. The people at the school were assholes, who told me they hoped I had family members that died on 9/11 and the teachers just sat by as it happened.

Did you know that the first 10 planes Airbus ever designed were EXACT copies of American planes, just converted into flat metric measurements?
You also steal our music. Basically every single popular European musician or group copies American music styles. AMERICANS invented rock and roll, hip hop, and electronic music.

But your own argument contradicts itself. If you were the source of all the innovation, then you would have matched us by now, but you haven't. There is not a single European computer company, you have never created a popular computer operating system. There is no European equivalent of Youtube.

One famouse scientist was Wernher von Braun. without him the russians would have been the first on the moon. Thats what i call steeling technology! BTW the first popular electronic music was from Germany (they where called Kraftwerk).

1) It was called operation paper clip, but it only gave the US a small edge, it wasn't responsible for American achievements. Wernher Von Braun did not invent the liquid-fueled rocket... an American did, Robert Goddard.
2) The US invented electronic music, Kraftwerk DID NOT INVENT IT LOL.
3) 90% of patents every year are American.

LOL, what? The Russians never made it on the moon at all. Pretending that Germans were responsible for the American moon landings is stupid, considering there were tens of thousands of American scientists and engineers, only a handful of Germans. The Russians themselves had more German scientists working for them than the US did... and the Russians have never left earth orbit... 40 years after the US landed on the moon.

@Grafffhe No... I'm saying that you can't say that Germans were single-handedly responsible for the space age when there were tens of thousands of Americans (and Soviets) involved. The US would have landed on the moon without the Germans, it just would have been later. Wernher Von Braun was responsible for the designs of the first NASA rockets but the rockets on the Saturn V rocket in the Apollo missions were INFINITELY complex, created by thousands of engineers, mostly American.

@LeftDogg The "world wide web" is not the internet. The internet is the TCP/IP protocol which was invented before the web. Americans invented the actual technology that transmits and receives data and organizes it between servers. The engineering feat of the internet is ENTIRELY American. The web is a system of code that is transmitted through the internet. It is not THE internet. Europeans did not invent the internet.
The DIGITAL computer (i.e. what you're using) is an American invention.

In high school I went to Goethe Gymnasium in Duesseldorf as an exchange student.
That trip sucked. I got like no help at all from my hosts, they rarely fed me. I got lost in the city like a dozen times with nobody to call. I ended up walking like 5km home from a store when I missed a bus. The people at the school were assholes, who told me they hoped I had family members that died on 9/11 and the teachers just sat by as it happened.
What a fucking nightmare.
