  • Subtil, nuanciert, prall komödiantisch, typadäquat,

  • Neither Evans, nor Stabile, nor Taddei, nor Gobbi, although fine singers, are worthy of cleaning the bottom of Fischer-Dieskau's shoes in this role or any other. The person talking about "fach" has no clue as to what it actually means. Fischer-Dieskau is, without a doubt, the greatest singer of the 20th century, and one of the greatest musicians as well. Who else can even come close?

  • Gobbi, Gobbi e ancora Gobbi.

  • this is sooo wrong!

  • The best!!

  • isaw mr.dieskau at munich opera was an amazing moment!!!

  • Particolare, ma non bello!

  • SIR GERAINT EVANS, MARIANO STABILE and GIUSEPPE TADDEI RULE!!!!!

  • @Cavaradossi1981 I like Evans very much in this role

  • DFD was a great artist, so this piece is not without awards, despite the bad soundtrack. Nevertheless, since he was here singing well outside his fach, we have to decide whether the attempt was worthwhile. For me, in this piece at least and given DFD's stage presence and acting skill, it was:). I would, however, prefer a larger, meatier voice and darker timbre for Falstaff. Warren, MacNeil, Granforte, Straciarri (don't know whether the last 2 did it) come to mind -

  • absolutely

  • Muy bueno y muy recomendable. Greetings: you have *****

  • grandissimo interprete!

  • a very good memory on earlier times with DFD

  • Bellissimo ma il filmato è molto scadente

  • I love Dieskau in the rep. It is a completely refreshing approach.
