"The Power and the Glory" was the first Saxon album I picked up. I remember they played Seattle in 1983 with Fastway and Iron Maiden, and after Saxon's set everyone went to buy their t-shirts. One of the underrated, at least in the States, metal bands of the era.

IF U LIKE METALLICA and dont know who SAXON are ur either A) very young or B) not into real Heavy metal.

Saxon started the NWOBHM movement in 1974 (as Son of a B itch) and were the biggest metal band in europe until Maiden released "the no of t beast" and took the movement to the U.S with def leppard where the movement died.
