Nissan builds a reputable truck but in the end, it will never be seen as anything but another ricer. My lightning as you know will destroy any truck Nissan makes or will ever make. @tcbtn1 Obviously you're slightly confused...I have owned a Ford and Chevy and with the exception of the lightining and MAYBE the Chevy SS which were designed strickly for racing none of the other Ford or Chevy trucks can compete with a Nissan Titan. If you put comparable trucks together meaning the Ford with the 5.4L and Chevy with the 5.3L and Nissan with the 5.6L Nissan would blow them away plain and simple and I know because I've owned all three!! Still own the Nissan!!

Dodge owner here. I really like my truck. I wouldn't trade it for any Chevy, Ford, or Nissan. That said, I can honestly say -these Titans are bad little bastards. I do not think they are very comfortable, I do not like the ride, and their fuel mileage is quite a joke (the ones I've had dealings with anyways), but they are pretty damn fast. I also think they are some of the sharpest trucks when dolled up a bit, on the road. White Titan with black Rockstars...nice.

The Titan is 100% built here in the U.S . It is 89% manafactured part wise in the good old USA , then 4% in Canada and the rest in Japan. I may be a little off on the % but very close. I own a 2010 Titan, it is pretty quick and I love it but the F-150 does have a higher towing capacity which is over 11,000 lbs. But, the Titan has a higher pay-load capacity of 1900 lbs, which is higher than any other truck in it class.
After spending the past week trying to fix a very simple problem on my Ford, I will now always own Japanese. Looking at the Titan. Gotta admit it's a sexy ass truck.
Japanese trucks my last longer but getting parts for the trucks is expensive and repair is way to technical compared to American made trucks which last more longer and getting parts is cheap and repair is easy

You say that the titan has the highest towing capacity of the 1500's. That's incorrect. The Dodge Ram 1500 SRT10 quad cab has a capacity of 10,000lbs. It will also smoke a Titan out of the box. It runs 13.3 stock.

The Titan is an amazing truck and has had the same basic design since 2005 and has won truck of the year according to Car and Driver and Automobile magazine up to 2008 and came 3rd in 09. The only reason other trucks are catching up is because in 09 and 10 everybody including Dodge let out their new trucks with bigger engines etc. So next year when Nissan brings out the New Titan it'll go back to how it was, the Japanese showing the Ignorant American Car Companies that they don't know everything

I enjoy my Titan too I pick on my buddy's chipped cummins haha only real complaint I have on my truck is that it comes stock with an open differential. The tundras come with limited slip which is why they do so well at the track. They launch well,I plan on getting tru track though.

I had my F150 5.4 litre for 3 years and besides a transmission change, was constantly towing my 3 ton boat, and being slow I really have no complaints. I got my new nissan titan cc because it was between the titan and tundra and the titan rode much better and at least feels like it puts you back in the seat better, as well as has many more power and comfort options. I would like to say that I have yet to see a hemi, tundra, ford, chevy that playing with on the road that I have not walked!!!

To all the those blowing smoke about the Titan, First of all there is no truck in the half ton class with a higher towing capacity than the Titan (9500lbs) there is Definitely no truck in the Half Ton class that can run with the Titan in a Drag race out of the box. I have a 2009 Titan with no Mods that ran a 14.5 @ 93 mph followed by 3 14.6 @ 92 mph runs with my wife Driving I have the Video and Time slips to prove it How Many Dodge Boys can do the same .....?????
@dleager At one time that was true but most all of the newer 1/2 tons claim a higher tow rating than 9500LBS. As for drag racing, same thing..the newer Tundras, 6.2L GMs and even closer would be the new Ram. I'm on my 2nd Titan because I believe it's 2nd to none. It'll easily out-tow the F-150 (until it gets it's new 400HP V8 next year) and any of the smaller engined GM products out there. But truth be told, there's not a crappy truck out there anymore. I love my Nissan.

@dleager I honestly love the Titans but I'm a Ford guy but I'm still considering getting a Titan over and F150. unless I find a good deal on the Raptor but Is most likely a Titan cuz I just love the way they look

@dleager I thought that there is no truck that out pulls a Ford Truck. I thought they always win best in class in towing capacity with all Ford Truck models. Drag racing I know a Ford truck isn't going anywhere because they are led sleds haha. I've got a 2005 Ford F150 with the 5.4L Triton. Stock I'd pull 13,000 pounds with it no problem. I know it's only safely rated for about 10,000, but many don't listen to that anyhow haha. 13,000 never bogged it down, stopped the load fine.
@dleager there is more to trucks than speed :/ i could care less which is better, im not a truck guy. but ive seen truck comparisons that take a lot into consideration. frame stability, speed while towing, unloaded drag, traction tests, etc. all are great, toyota seems to be lacking though

You say that the titan has the highest towing capacity of the 1500's. That's incorrect. The Dodge Ram 1500 SRT10 quad cab has a capacity of 10,000lbs. It will also smoke a Titan out of the box. It runs 13.3 stock.

The Titan is an amazing truck and has had the same basic design since 2005 and has won truck of the year according to Car and Driver and Automobile magazine up to 2008 and came 3rd in 09. The only reason other trucks are catching up is because in 09 and 10 everybody including Dodge let out their new trucks with bigger engines etc. So next year when Nissan brings out the New Titan it'll go back to how it was, the Japanese showing the Ignorant American Car Companies that they don't know everything

@tiffy976 well thats great but no one ever cares about what car and driver says, and auto companies barely boast when they win one of their awards, and most other reviews of the titan have criticized it for have ONE engine and 2 cab configurations with most reviews offering that you buy an alternative. Trucks were born in america we know and have always known what we're doing.

I enjoy my Titan too I pick on my buddy's chipped cummins haha only real complaint I have on my truck is that it comes stock with an open differential. The tundras come with limited slip which is why they do so well at the track. They launch well,I plan on getting tru track though.

I had my F150 5.4 litre for 3 years and besides a transmission change, was constantly towing my 3 ton boat, and being slow I really have no complaints. I got my new nissan titan cc because it was between the titan and tundra and the titan rode much better and at least feels like it puts you back in the seat better, as well as has many more power and comfort options. I would like to say that I have yet to see a hemi, tundra, ford, chevy that playing with on the road that I have not walked!!!

To all the those blowing smoke about the Titan, First of all there is no truck in the half ton class with a higher towing capacity than the Titan (9500lbs) there is Definitely no truck in the Half Ton class that can run with the Titan in a Drag race out of the box. I have a 2009 Titan with no Mods that ran a 14.5 @ 93 mph followed by 3 14.6 @ 92 mph runs with my wife Driving I have the Video and Time slips to prove it How Many Dodge Boys can do the same .....?????

@dleager At one time that was true but most all of the newer 1/2 tons claim a higher tow rating than 9500LBS. As for drag racing, same thing..the newer Tundras, 6.2L GMs and even closer would be the new Ram. I'm on my 2nd Titan because I believe it's 2nd to none. It'll easily out-tow the F-150 (until it gets it's new 400HP V8 next year) and any of the smaller engined GM products out there. But truth be told, there's not a crappy truck out there anymore. I love my Nissan.

@dleager I thought that there is no truck that out pulls a Ford Truck. I thought they always win best in class in towing capacity with all Ford Truck models. Drag racing I know a Ford truck isn't going anywhere because they are led sleds haha. I've got a 2005 Ford F150 with the 5.4L Triton. Stock I'd pull 13,000 pounds with it no problem. I know it's only safely rated for about 10,000, but many don't listen to that anyhow haha. 13,000 never bogged it down, stopped the load fine.

@dleager there is more to trucks than speed :/ i could care less which is better, im not a truck guy. but ive seen truck comparisons that take a lot into consideration. frame stability, speed while towing, unloaded drag, traction tests, etc. all are great, toyota seems to be lacking though
