it suprises me how little people know what a talkbox is. It doesnt create an effect on his voice, it becomes his voice. He plays the notes he wants to 'sing' on his synth and the sound goes through a tube in his mouth instead of going to a speaker as it usually would do. Then, when you articulate your mouth as you would do when you speak, the sound from the synth replaces your voice.
