When I try this in Flash CS5 the code you offered throws the following error:

1067: Implicit coercion of a valu of type Boolean to an unrelated type flash.geom:Rectangle.

can you shed any light n this?

you must make the registration point to be at the center, and not at the upper-left corner as he had it.

i tried it in ActionScript 3.0 which didn't work, but it was suppose to be in ActionScript 2.0 which does work for this. why is that? what's the difference? what does it mean "stand alone applications"?

This was designed using ActionScript 2.0 and not 3.0. In this context, 2.0 is still better for application development while 3.0 is prefered for building websites.

AS 2.0 is the second version of Action Script

AS 3.0 Is the newer version ( or in till adobe update)

as 2.0 is made for sites and games

3.0 is for advance games and sites
