This is ingenious! Do you sell these? How much? Do you have trouble with them dumping on side hills (twist in mechanism)? How much cargo do you think it will lift? Is the box strong enough without a frame running lenthwise?
@Bischc Yes, I custom make these to fit the year, make and model trucks you have, if it's one that can be dumped. No dump trucks should be operated on side hills because the center of gravity with a load could cause a tip over. The mechanism has a patented torsion tube to keep the bed level if the load is offset.
Ford dump kit hoists will lift 3700 pounds at the start, then go up to 4500lbs. when the bed reaches 20 degrees. Nobody has complained about the Ford kits functions or capacity yet.
@aaaaariiiiielllll Because that would've required cutting the trucks rear cross member for a longer scissor hoist, plus the longer the scissor, the less weight it can pick up. This scissor capacity is 3,700lbs. in it's closed position. As it opens it gains mechanical advantage for a peak load of 4500lbs. when the bed is at 20 degrees.
@KJ4TEE ive hauled chicken shit with mine and for the people that aint use to that smell sure get a good whiff of it goin down the highway but thatd sure come in handy
Man I could use that for unloading hay and firewood for sure! Now if I could figure an easy way to load itself I would be set..how much would that cost lol! Nice product..
What is your profession? Some of the things I use it for are remodeling debris, trash, rock, stone, sand, fill, topsoil, mulch, tree work, and firewood.
Wow, I'm impress that you you that beautiful truck for work, Most of people that buys big trucks half of them won't even wan't to put some mud onto it or anywhing in the trunk. well if you use it for work, congratulations its damn clean!
Pretty neat concept, with only ONE major drawback/problem... For $3,250+ I can buy either a dump trailer, or a complete used dump truck in decent usable condition. Each will carry more and be more useful than a pickup truck bed dump, which don't hold up well to being used like dump trucks at all. I know it's sad, but true. These kits are more for guys that like "toys" and have lots of extra money. Kudos for them. Wish I could afford something like this, just for grins. Oh well.
Let me know when you buy either dump trailer or well used dump truck. How many years will I need to hold my breath? We don't make toys here, these kits are designed for work and based on all our competitors failures. My customers aren't calling me to complain or express grief over the "sad but true" state of their truck beds. I've owned a dumping pick-up since 1985, used in a business daily. Everything but the dump kit and bed wore out. That's Chevy for ya.
PS...while you're in critic mode, run around the web and youtube to find a dump kit better than this one. Make sure they have 14 grease fittings (which is more than your truck has) to maintain the system. A 36 month warranty would be nice too.
@superturbodiesel btw, $3250 is the price for the dump truck, keep in mind there is increased maintenance costs on a bigger truck, increased registration fees, etc., its not just getting a dump truck vs. getting a dump bed installed.
superturbodiesel should go step on Ford, GM, and Dodge truck videos. Say "only ONE drawback, the pick-ups don't dump. I'll have to buy a kit from good 'ol Stealth, gimme a discount"
this is scary if u read this this far u will die in 10 days if u dont send to any 15 videos in 2 hours good luck hope u dont die !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice truck nice system, but wouldn't the hydraulic method work a bit better, but then again the electronics might cost less and need less maintanence, so yeah I kinda' just answered my own question, but please correct me if I am mistaking in anyway.

its a nice system, not a toy; out of curiosity, what would I use it for on a work truck?

I work for an epoxy flooring company, i couldnt use it in my business but it looks like a great system.

The best feature of the system is it's there when you need it.
