We are not compensated fully for what we get paid, trust me. Under capitalism, the pay that we receive in wages is earned in half of our shift, or less. So whats the other half of the shift for you ask? For profit. Therefore, one half of our working time for subsistence, the other for profit for the CEO. This is the way its always been. Therefore, its exploitation.
I understand you pretty well. Of course employers don't give us (the workers) 100% of the money we earn the company with our labor. If they did they would have no money left for other operating expenses (rent, fuel, taxes, insurance, security, and yes... Something for the shareholders who make it all possible). People who own thier own biz get 100% but they take a chance of failure/bankruptcy, most of us take our portion and relish the job security and lack of responsibilty.
So you think it all equals out in terms of responsibility, even though, as obscure as it is, theyre exploiting all working class people? You think just because a CEO takes a risk, its fair for them to compensate theirselves with a 300% pay raise over a 10 decade span, while the worker earns minimun wage.
CEO's don't set thier own earnings (except in a very limited sence). Board of Directores set CEO earnings. The CEO's will often get paid in stock options (partially or fully) so that if the stock of the company rises, they make more money, but so does everyone who own stock in the company, so, yeah, that's fair.
Either way, you still agree with the fact that through the exploitation of the masses of workers throughout the world, its ok for the CEO's to be compensated 300 times more than the ordinary person, for the work that we do, for the profit that we accumulate??? The point is that the CEO doesnt do anything but sit in their high rise office and dictate. When their "risks" fail, they run off with all the profit, while the company shuts down and workers are cast out on the street. Thats not fair.
What I agree with is that without the companies, the workers wouldn't be able to make thier house payment. The companies are ran by CEO's who are compensated by Boards of Directors. If the BoD's give the CEO's too much money, the company isn't profitable and it goes under. If they give too little, you get bad CEO's and the company goes under. Picking the right balance is where the danger is at.

Thats half what this song is about. they're talking about how working class always gets the shit end off the stick. and thats not what being working class is about. when someones working class it means they actually work for what they get paid. and do manual labour. they didnt just create a whole group for society to exploit and call them working class. they made working class and through the years decided it would be a good idea to kick them while they're down.

We are not compensated fully for what we get paid, trust me. Under capitalism, the pay that we receive in wages is earned in half of our shift, or less. So whats the other half of the shift for you ask? For profit. Therefore, one half of our working time for subsistence, the other for profit for the CEO. This is the way its always been. Therefore, its exploitation.

I understand you pretty well. Of course employers don't give us (the workers) 100% of the money we earn the company with our labor. If they did they would have no money left for other operating expenses (rent, fuel, taxes, insurance, security, and yes... Something for the shareholders who make it all possible). People who own thier own biz get 100% but they take a chance of failure/bankruptcy, most of us take our portion and relish the job security and lack of responsibilty.

You think just because a CEO takes a risk, its fair for them to compensate theirselves with a 300% pay raise over a 10 decade span, while the worker earns minimun wage.

CEO's don't set thier own earnings (except in a very limited sence). Board of Directores set CEO earnings. The CEO's will often get paid in stock options (partially or fully) so that if the stock of the company rises, they make more money, but so does everyone who own stock in the company, so, yeah, that's fair.

Either way, you still agree with the fact that through the exploitation of the masses of workers throughout the world, its ok for the CEO's to be compensated 300 times more than the ordinary person, for the work that we do, for the profit that we accumulate??? The point is that the CEO doesnt do anything but sit in their high rise office and dictate. When their "risks" fail, they run off with all the profit, while the company shuts down and workers are cast out on the street. Thats not fair.

What I agree with is that without the companies, the workers wouldn't be able to make thier house payment. The companies are ran by CEO's who are compensated by Boards of Directors. If the BoD's give the CEO's too much money, the company isn't profitable and it goes under. If they give too little, you get bad CEO's and the company goes under. Picking the right balance is where the danger is at.

If you made a successful buisness, good for you... and if you employ a few hundred people with good jobs, even better. The point in BG having alot of money is it creates alot of jobs.
