Excellent video and a great message! Two items you left out: 1) xtians believe god/JC/holy spirit talks to them, and they make video's about it "the holy spirit laid on my heart the need to....". Ironic - when a religious person says god is talking to them, we tune in with full attention. When a secular person says the same, they boys in white coats aren't far behind. 2) All these various religions will spend millions on propaganda, instead of where it could really be useful.

I am a bible believer I am Sick and tired of religion in fact I hate the word religion. The bible makes reference to religion 1 time and the word Pure is in front of it. When you use the word religion in general what pops up in my mind is a bunch of comfortable people who feel like they have a monopoly on God. Who are so comfortable in their salvation to the point where they don't care about the hurting that is out there. SEE American Church has falsely represented JESUS and the Apostles.

@roadsideflowers If I was to be more specific about that religion it might make you look bad to call it a delusion. Because that pure religion is pretty real down to earth and selfless. Which if practiced could really make a difference in the person's or peoples life that that religion is targeting. So be careful what you say. Problem is people are not getting the full context of everything they leave out so many small details and that is the problem its those small things people overlook.
If any religion can provide hard empirical evidence of God in the first place I would be happy to join up. I also need to mention that believing in an imaginary myth like Santa Clause bringing you $1 million (which would make people happy) is destructive to the point that it prevents you from perceiving reality which prevents people from acting rationally.

And 2 Last year i would cut the grass at the church and i would have an asthma attack every time i cut it had to puff on the inhaler a lot. this year I even pushed my self real hard i mean hard to see if symptoms would arise and not one breathing problem occured this year. We had more humidity which means its 10 times easier to have an asthma attack with the moisture cause that is sometimes what triggers it. Our climate is known for dry heat but we had humidity. there is more!

God uses the Spirit to communicate to us through our prays. Others like Mormons believe God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit are seperate beings. Mormons pray to God in Christ's name, and do this through the Holy Spirit which is the "messenger".

On a personal level we exist to procreate, the only reason to see off anyone, not necessarily kill them, is if they threaten your territory, your mate and/or food supply. Survival to procreate means you protect your interests, only killing if you have to as it uses up too much energy.
Human societal standards mean that we don't have to do the protection ourselves, we have police and courts to do that.

We do not believe God had sex with Mary. Our Bible does not even say that.

Mary, scientific predictions aren't like Nostradamus and the Bible, which didn't come through. They are predictions like if we build circuitry like this we can create a transistor which we can use to create a logic gate, which we can use in an array to create a chip, we can then use an array of chips to make a computer, then if we do this we can make it smaller and faster. The definition for theory is different in science than is used by layman, look it up in the dictionary.

Excellent video and a great message! Two items you left out: 1) xtians believe god/JC/holy spirit talks to them, and they make video's about it "the holy spirit laid on my heart the need to....". Ironic - when a religious person says god is talking to them, we tune in with full attention. When you use the word religion in general what pops up in my mind is a bunch of comfortable people who feel like they have a monopoly on God. Which if practiced could really make a difference in the person's or peoples life that that religion is targeting. So be careful what you say. I also need to mention that believing in an imaginary myth like Santa Clause bringing you $1 million (which would make people happy) is destructive to the point that it prevents you from perceiving reality which prevents people from acting rationally.

And 2 Last year i would cut the grass at the church and i would have an asthma attack every time i cut it had to puff on the inhaler a lot. this year I even pushed my self real hard i mean hard to see if symptoms would arise and not one breathing problem occured this year. We had more humidity which means its 10 times easier to have an asthma attack with the moisture cause that is sometimes what triggers it. Our climate is known for dry heat but we had humidity. there is more!

Neither Judaism nor Christianity nor Islam can be the right religion because they are fundamentally flawed; one of the basic tenets of high morality is unconditional opposition to any form of cruelty towards others. Most of us would agree that slavery was one of the most horrific atrocities inflicted on humans during the time of Moses, Jesus and Mohammed and yet there is nothing in these religions' scriptures which forbids slavery and declares it a great sin.

The reason slavery is not a great sin is because we are going to be a servant or a slave. This may not make sense to you at all. @azuma83 Many Christians are different in what they believe is the Holy Spirit. Caltholics for ex. believe that God, Christ, and the Spirit are the same. God uses the Spirit to communicate to us through our prays. Others like Mormons believe God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit are seperate beings. Mormons pray to God in Christ's name, and do this through the Holy Spirit which is the "messenger".

On a personal level we exist to procreate, the only reason to see off anyone, not necessarily kill them, is if they threaten your territory, your mate and/or food supply. Survival to procreate means you protect your interests, only killing if you have to as it uses up too much energy.
Human societal standards mean that we don't have to do the protection ourselves, we have police and courts to do that.

We do not believe God had sex with Mary. Our Bible does not even say that.
Jesus is God in the flesh and Mary carried the baby Jesus inside her womb, until he was to be born in Bethlehem as the Old Testament prophets said would happen about 700 years before he was born. We do not believe Mary is the mother of God (well maybe the Catholics do)..those who hold to the Bible do not.

But so far Quantum Physics has given us things like computers and nuclear power. But that's "just a theory" too. Just like they use Germ theory to explain disease. Mary, scientific predictions aren't like Nostradamus and the Bible, which didn't come through. They are predictions like if we build circuitry like this we can create a transistor which we can use to create a logic gate, which we can use in an array to create a chip, we can then use an array of chips to make a computer, then if we do this we can make it smaller and faster. The definition for theory is different in science than is used by layman, look it up in the dictionary.

The Bible is not even close to the level of theory. It's a hypothesis, and one that hasn't been substantiated by any historical fact, It is written in Allegory style, which was popular of fiction of the time. It does not have historical veracity, meaning, they can't prove it. That's why in order to believe it you require faith. Believing in evolution does not require faith, there is much evidence to substantiate evolution. I can show you many Biblical prophecies that have outright failed.

I disagree,if the afterlife is so important, why a mortal life at all? Seems kind of pointless to spend an insignificant portion of your existence suffering, then go to Hell for a multitude of reasons, for which circumstances never had to exist in the first place according to your God hypothesis. I think we'll have to disagree. But it's that very complacency that religion inspires that is the most disturbing part of religion. While you're sitting around waiting, other people are doing and living. Imagine if all the good people put a stop to evil and corruption. We are all born with morals Mary, except psychopaths. You should learn the truth, that countries with larger populations of atheists are more well educated, enjoy less crime and poverty. Holding on to a belief in God actually hinders morality. This has been studied. I can quote various sources if you like. Roughly 17% of Americans are Agnostic/Atheist. Are they all immoral, how does your society function? My country is roughly 30% atheist. We are not known around the world as evil or immoral.

Is scientism means "believing" in evolution, then yes I believe in the mountain of empirical evidence that proves evolution is a fact, and if you don't "believe" in evolution Mary, you don't believe in fact. Also Mary, if you want to argue facts, read the history of Julius Caesar. He predates Jesus and has what are called contemporaries, Jesus doesn't have any of those, pretty strange that the alleged son of God wouldn't. We know that Caesar existed through a mountain of evidence. Yet, the alleged son of God is still debatable, and unproven. No one argues Caesar, he was real, and while important, was not divine. If God were to visit today, do you think Historians would write about it Mary, do you?

y else would it be a the best selling book around the world every year. and yes jesus was written bout not onnly in the bible there were other accounts for him and the bible is his word but no he did not write it with his bare hands. but if u would read the bible in John its says, " in the begining was the word and the word was god and was with god and became flesh and dwelt amoungs but his people recieve him not. god him self told us he is not going to be popular.

Exactly, the man who was supposed to bring God's message,did not do it in a format which would stand the test of time. All of the gospels are written based upon the Gospel of Paul in the New Testament and the Gospel of Paul was written as allegory.That is fictional stories.The last statement you made means that the more ridiculous something sounds the more you should listen to it. It doesn't fit the facts. Your last statement is an evolution of religion, they knew it would sound stupid. It does.

but i do think u should go to hell if u want to steal and cheat but if u realize wat u did was wrong then u shouldnt. but here is the thing. if i created u and ur family and u were doomed to hell because i said u cant come to heaven a sinner. so to make things easier im going to die for u and ur family so u guys can go to heaven and u still denied me even after i died for u then everyone who denied me i would make them suffer. because thats just wrong to do somethin like that.

The universe did indeed have a creator, but it was probably a natural one, and "something" must have always existed, but that could be natural. There is this theory in Quantum Physics called matter from the vaccuum, you should read about it. Just because it is amazing does not mean it's miraculous.

You can't accept this fact, it will happen, but hopefully not for a while. Maybe you'll get enough time to learn some of the truth. For people who don't understand how the universe could come from "nothing" read about M theory. For those who don't know where life came from. Read about Abiogenesis. For those who don't know where humans came from, read about evolution. Evolution has to sting more than anything for a Christian, because it flat out proves the Bible is wrong. Because the immorality isn't enough for some people. Ask me about the immorality of the Bible, then prepare for your smackdown.

@marymoofat - Google "Gliese 581 C", then maybe you should wonder would create this vast universe where Earth is an insignificant blip orbiting a star that is 1/2100th the size of the largest known star. Which would have a sustainable life band larger than our sun by orders of magnitude. The Earth was not here before the Sun, when the universe was created our sun wasn't even here. Our sun is the remnant of an exploded star. Our Earth formed from the occlusion disc of that explosion.

as a christian i hav no problem with muslims, like i hav no problem with you i feel for you cause your lost and i wich you could feel wat i feel and feel the love of christ and u believe wat u want but there r some things not even your science can explain which the bible does a perfect job of. so you keep telling people that they make the world a bad place. i dont think no one does not even you. i think you just need help.
