when i first went through charleston i couldnt really figure out if it was a city or like a big town its kinda weird lol not charleston itself but whether its a city or big town...i from kentucky so im used to the mountains and hills and the "big/small" towns lol if that makes any since
I live in Tennessee, but I so love WEst Virginia. it is my home away from home. I can get lost int he mountains and jsut be free. It is just a awesome plae to be. You have to experience it and the townsfolks are the nicest around.

Our police would be on them immediately because it is too small a city to hide anything. As far as racism, I don't think it has that much within the city, but in the middle of nowhere there is plenty of racism.
I am from Charleston. It is a great city. You should move there if you are planning on moving. The whole state is good. Lots of attractions in the Nitro-Saint Albans area.
Actually, it takes about 5 - 10 mins to get through Kanawha City where he's going. Kan. City is technically in Charleston city limits. So, it takes at least 10 mins to get through Charleston...lol....yes...who cares?
i didn't miss that drive till i moved to NC. now i appreciate it a lot more. love to come out of that last toll both coming north, i know im home. then again when i leave that last semi straight stretch ot 64/77 and hit the first one again, i know it will be some time before i come back. I miss home.
I'm glad to see the mistake on the river name has been pointed out. Too bad the video wasn't shot downtown, it's better than it was years ago. It has gone from ugly to great in the past 20 years.
One of the more beautiful cities. Don't just pass through, get out and talk to the people, you will find them to be the most friendly and welcoming people. Walk on the grounds of that beautiful capitol. It is awesome.
Only thing you proved through this video is that it takes 5 minutes to drive through Charleston. lol. And that was Kanawha River not Charleston River FYI ;)
i just drove from carleston WV to anchorage AK!! yes i drove it!!! im from charleston and miss it like crazy!! you drove by my grandmas house and most of my friends houses!! thanks for the video.... and yes it is the kanawha river... the moose you should have stopped and lone star is like 3 less than miles from where you stopped filming!!! god i miss home!!! ~hbl

JK :) I love runnin 80-100 in the 60MPH zone and confusing the tourists. We have I-64, I-77, I-79 and Rt60 connecting here... it gets alittle tight at times. Nice video, thanks for posting it.
