You would either have a synth that can modulate between Arp and sustained note, and write the automation in, or you could use a regular synth with an arp filter.

Try refx Vanguard vst and you can achieve it by tweaking the 'mix' knob on the arp gate.

When a song is mixed, you take individual tracks and put them together. One track might have a guitar and another percussions. The vocals are usually in a track of their own as well. It's called an a capella. Engineers usually record vocals separately and then mix them into the song.

Man I dont know about FL. It kinda sounds steril and flat. Plus it got me spoiled with the ease of use. Moving up to cubase was a little rough. but FL studio was a great learning tool. now I just use it for drum tracks. oh yeah and live VST synths use cus it has such a low mem usage. Cubase is the shit. try it out.

Yeah, it's not a complete video. Just a quick walk through. Personally, I don't like the open hi hat...nor the water drop sound. The verses are pretty minimalistic and the water drop sound just interferes with that approach. Props on noticing the hi hat though.

that is not a menu you can download, he has a mac pro G5 (mac computer) with bootcamp so he can run windows vista. in short, buy a Mac and you can play with that menu all you like...:O)

good quality sound card with a good processor and ram would do. soundcard with a asio driver helps a lot.

With FL, you don't need much. Dual core, 512 MB or ram, and any sound card should suffice. I know people with Asio4all and I know people with cards from M-audio. Pro tools is very high maintenance and you need a lot of shit to run it but FL is laid back and user friendly and can compete without an effort with pro tools.
