  • That is some of the finest countryside there is... It must have been quite a rush to ride that gondola down that slope! Thanks for another great escape...

  • I liked this one very much!

Watched with my morning cup of coffee.

    Perfect

  • What no beer?

  • Talk about elk an deer country

  • Absolutely B E A UTIFUL!! Just heavenly. It's so rare to see nature at it's purest, untouched and seeing that makes me so happy. God Bless Teddy Roosevelt!

I have to ask, did you get teary seeing that for the first time? I know I would have. I was crying coming out of the mountains of Cali.

  • I was looking over where my great great grandfather homesteaded between 1880 an 1889... Wondering why they left...

  • PappyStu, this was such a peaceful ride. Thank you. I wanted too see something nice before going to sleep tonight, and this was perfect. :)

  • My vids are a sure cure for insomnia he he he he

  • Great stuff! The sky cars would be great!

  • I only wished the windows were cleaner vbg

  • Great filming of some great scenery PappyStu! While I was somewhat familiar with Chief Joseph's "I will fight no more forever" speech, I just now went and looked it up. It makes me sad thinking about all the events which must have led up to that.

  • This was his father's grave... The one to whom you reffer is in another vid here some wheres he he

  • Incredible beauty :)

  • It is pretty country...

  • 5 star video. What a great tour! Beautiful!

  • A week condensed into a few minutes... vbg

  • You are the luckiest man alive!! The scenery is just plain amazing! Even your groundhogs are cuter than ours..lol

Makes me sad to see what the American Indian was forced to give up 8-(

  • After doing the twelve tribes series I was caught by surprise on this trip... Not putting 2 an 2 together before hand...

  • Beautiful.. :)

  • Amazing video, Pappy! Your videography story telling abilities are way beyond professional, they are sublime. It is not hard to imagine this world as it once was. I always marvel how you present history in a glorious and sensory way. Thank you.

  • to blab or not to blab.... eh?

  • Wow, that's some pretty spectacular scenery there Pappy.

    Great video, as usual.

I always enjoy your outdoor videos.

Thanks for the response btw :)

  • I never seem to quite know whether I should narate or not

  • As much as i enjoy your narration. This video didn't need it & you made the right choice, imho :)

  • Wonderful video Pappy...your vids are of such high quality and so very interesting and/or entertaining. It most certainly looks like 'God's country' in this one.

Heart huhs and yes we are still celebrating up here eh! :-)

  • Any excuse to Party! he he

We will be hooking the cam to skiers and tubers soon....

  • 5 stars Pappy that is some great footage

  • Sort of like your nature walk... wanted to vid respond but had promised this to Andy...

  • Beautiful footage Pappy.

  • Still struggling with movement... But just bought a liquid Tripod so hope to improve....

  • I never thought about it before but I've never seen a beaver IRL.

Looks like a beautiful place to be from.

  • My kin pull up stakes there in 1889 and drove their herd through Hell's Canyon to Idaho between McCall and Council... Of course there were no Dams on the Snake then... as the crow flies it was only 100 and some miles but it took months as the country is some of the most rugged in the west... No one seems to know why they moved after almost ten years... Wanderlust perhaps... Hard to put ourselves in their pioneer spirit...

  • sweeet!

  • *wink*

  • Awesome tram ride, and that Chief Joseph memorial is always moving. Hope you enjoyed the Fourth with fifth!

  • Working swings through the holidays... Will be on the water next weekend though... I was tempted to put the footage of both Father and Son Chief Joseph Graves in the same video but it did not follow theme... Perhaps in a future production... You partied for me I hope...

  • Such a beautiful place!

  • It is easy to see why the peaceful Nez Perce' went to war for this land...

  • Yes it is!:)

  • The winters in the Wallowa Valley are brutal... but they migrated down to the Grande Ronde and Hell's Canyon during the season... I fantasize their nomadic lives...
