@buddawiser Totally true, the last good car america made was d 1962 Shelby GT500. Japanese are GOOD so are Germans, India is catching up. I love Maruti and Tata in India. Mahindra is ok.

I've driven a safari and i think its the only vehicle in india which came close to SUV culture (at least in india being introduced so early)... but instead of doing a speed test.. may be doing some off roading will bring more cheers to your youtube post !

aha ! i'll catch you up on that one... in indian rupees it equates to abt 6.0 lacs...

however, since you took my comment personally, i will admit that your baby elephant is pretty heavy... and that becomes a huge factor with the lighter vios which makes it cruise to higher speeds.

Then there are things like shape..you are prone to eat a lot of air resistance, there is also a significant amt of downforce acting on the vios which will help grip... but wont be the same amt for a safari....

@gtm2k Well, India kinda has some serious tax issues with cars. So, the 6.0 lacs are not really true on the streets, it'll be 6.0 lacs + excise duty, import of some parts, customs, octroi etc. and it'll be somewhere around Rs.24,00,000/- or so.

no it cant do 190+..the speedometer lies on those cars.....racelogic box shows just 160km/hr for the 2.2 dicor...this one is sluggish 3 litre dicor...even slower!.....speedos lie a lot!

I have driven it at 140kmph,, might go upto 150 on downhill
