@OracleOrthros I watch all of max's videos (even the MW3 ones) but Jago's got a point. His tutorials don't really teach you that much in my opinion... and he doesn't place in tournaments either. They are meant more for general viewing pleasure than dissecting the game at its core.

For example, when playing online (especially) and or offline VS, I try to keep things simple and do very basic combos into a launcher and then an air combo with a hard knock down... Sometimes I'll go to extend em with an OTG or like an team air combo, but a LOT of long combo's you see on YT are usually impossible to do against a human opponent and even way harder to even try online... That's why you always see these long, flashy combo's against a dummy in training mode...
What would be better is going into slo-mo when showing combo videos and saying or showing exactly which hits to do (and or how like for cancels, etc..) instead of just showing them in real time speed with the input presses on the bottom from the training mode because you/everyone presses more buttons than they have to... Also showing simple combo's to do and then build from there... Not everyone could pull off those long BnB combo's, ESPECIALLY online or against a human opponent...

I thought a trade would occur only if each character's hitbox touched the other character's hurtbox at the exact same time. Do they just occur whenever hitboxes touch each other before touching hurtboxes?
Good stuff. Breaking sprites into hot boxes and frame data helps takes the ego out of the characters as avatars. It helps me see the game as more of an abstract fencing match, kind of like a game of tag.

Its actually really good to get a commentary that breaks down the game to a basic/mathematical level. The "Other Online Warrior" deals with more intermediate/advanced understanding of gameplay. Its actually really good to go back to basics as I am, not necessarily a noob, but I could use a lot more practice. And yes, it does come off douchy, but I think that might be his style. Overall I will be watching both.

Max may not be as good as Jago, but at least his videos are entertaining. He also said his videos are NOT for high level players.
People like max because he's funny and nice guy, not because he's a top level player.
Jago is definitely a top player, but also rude and arrogant, and I personally don't like watching him. I'd rather watch Max, even if I'm not learning anything...

It was a informative video overall, but I really don't see the need to call out Max when his videos are just as informing, but they also have the bonus of giving the viewers something to laugh at which promotes a sense of learning to some. People love beef, but best finish it quickly before it becomes unappealing.

Its actually really good to get a commentary that breaks down the game to a basic/mathematical level. The "Other Online Warrior" deals with more intermediate/advanced understanding of gameplay. Its actually really good to go back to basics as I am, not necessarily a noob, but I could use a lot more practice. And yes, it does come off douchy, but I think that might be his style. Overall I will be watching both.
