I so need to brew something like this after watching @Tantrum777, @Immolateus, and your video. I love stouts like these, I just haven't gotten around to it yet! Cheers!
I did a Blackberry, Chocolate, Coffee Stout last year using the Cold Coffee Infusion and loved it. The Cold Coffee Infusion Flavor is Awesome. I think you'll really like it. The Vanilla Bean, Bourbon, Oak Cube and Coffee flavor combo you have in that Stout should be really tasty.
@pookanc I'm starting to really get excited about this brew! A few people have gone this sort of method and say its awesome. Is it two weeks later yet?
this is an interesting combo....I may have to do something similar. I brewed a chocolate coffee stout last year, but I think I like this combo better. One little tip, you should get a longer transfer hose or raise the carboy up higher. the amount of splashing that you are doing from primary to secondary is going to cause a lot of aeration & ultimately oxidize the hell out of that beer. U should shoot for no splashing at all post primary, esp in the secondary transfer. good looking beer though
@JOMalone3113 Normally I have it on the stool so there is little to no splash as it usually hits the side of the carboy and flows down the sides. Thanks for the observation. Was a little frustrated with my "helpers" I love them to death but they get a little carried away and want to touch everything and children's hands around beer makes me nervous! lol
@hockyplr I totally understand, I have a 5 yo who wants to help but I just am not crazy about him being involved in the process just yet....I was just pointing it out in case you werent aware of....if you arent planning on storing it really long term, like 6 moths + then it wont make much of a difference.
LOL...oak cubes and funnels never seem to work...you get like 3 that fall through OK and then the rest of 'em just get stuck. Did you try the cold brewed coffee, what was it like?
@immolateus I did not taste the coffee, but from the smell it was like espresso. I did not smell any bitterness at all. I have a video of the brew day, didn't add it to this video because I didn't want it to be a super long video...Not sure why I care, none of mine are short!
Wow nice! I would drizzle that over ice Cream LOL! I would love to try one maybe we do an exchange sometime!!

You gotta love the little Helper Gremlins. I agree with Dayton, this looks really good and might get onto my new few beers list.

Looks tasty. I have some vanilla beans and black patent. Might just push me towards the next recipe.
