  • your way only works on beta 2. this is beta 1. this guy is amazing cos he does all these tracks on beta 1 where there arwe no acceleration lines sand no rubber!

  • um that was cool and all but its a whole lot easier to just try it til you get it right.

  • omg! i can't belive i never thought of that!

  • check my video its not the best tutriol for making straight lines, but i hope it helps :)

  • Nerds!!

  • right click --> drag

  • how do we make it a straight line niggas

  • so youre right clicking then left then right? i cant get it to make a straight line

  • or download it..

  • (use i.e , firefox and opera dont work)

  • I use FireFox and straight lines work perfectly fine. Try the new Beta Firefox.

  • ahhh, no wonder i couldnt get it to work, i wuz using firefox

  • I can't get the right-click straight lines to work, can you help?

  • Same here

  • Have you tried using a different browser or the download version?

  • i used the download version. And it worked.

  • FIXED! Here's how to get it to work (in Firefox too!)

    1. hold the left mouse button where you want to start

    2. while holding, right click

    3. right click somewhere in LR to get the menu out of the way

    4. Click on where you want to end the line

(works on a mac with any 2 button mouse [except the mighty mouse])

  • thx for that tutorial man

  • What is a "Linerider"?

  • Great tutorial.

As for marking where on the screen he'll land, I use a similar save/restore approach, but I also use a dry-erase marker ON MY SCREEN. This gives me the option of placing the drawing in such a way that I can continue after the landing with my drawing unconstrained.

  • hehe, I've found myself using my monitor's aperture grill lines as landmarks when I'm feeling lazy. That's hard to capture video of, though =P

  • man, I hope that's not a TFT!

  • My line rider experience was just put into ultimate perspective.

  • I however don't understand how two lines can help you find the right spot.

  • The vertical lines help me find the right place on the horizontal axis, and the X was for finding the height.

  • wow.. this is useful! It's something I should have thought of but didn't

  • dxmagikarp you are some kind of line rider genius

  • thanks that really helped us amature line riders

  • To clarify what's going on, after you find the landing spot and move it to the corner, you have to press play, stop, reload, and stop to get the track to remember its position.

  • Wow, I don't know if that was worth the time or not, but thanks a lot for showing us all how it's done.
