I LOVE the sims 3, I had it for pc untill my boyfriend sold the laptop i was playing it on and didnt check to see if the disk was in it and guess where it was.. in the sold laptop so now I only have it for wii and its still awesome :)
i got the sims 3 and was sooooo dissapointed! the quality was terrible and it took almost an hour to load! i didnt even get past the create a sim because it lagged so bad. it might be because i have like 20 other sims 2 expansion and stuff packs but im not sure. im going to try downloading it to my second pc tho and see if it works any better. hopefully it does :/
but you know what was alot more fun about sims 2.....they can go into places, into stores and cafes and restaurants and stuff. and i felt it was more fun and difficult. i got bored too quickly from sims 3. it's a bit boring.
they need siims 3 graphics and sims 2 game method and it would be perfecto for me!
I agree with the whole load time problem. But actually, I've realized that the more memory your pc or mac can hold, the faster the game will be. Also, don't run background tasks! That just makes it choppy :(

I love love LOVE sims. I first played sims 1 because my brother loved it. Then a few years later I got sims 2 and I still play it today. However I did get sims3 but I was I guess you could say underwhelmed. Plus I have a really slow computer and it take HOURS to load. i used to get so annoyed because the unpatched game took FOREVER to build up skills and to sleep. It'd literally take them like 5-10 minutes to sleep rather then like a minute in the other games. Good thing EA fixed that in an update. Plus, ambitions is amaaaazing<3 I agree that the sims 2 was a turn off from it.. I have no idea why but I prefer sims 1&3 over 2
I love the Sims 3! idk i love so many things about it mostly everything you've mentioned:) but i do luv the fact that in the game you can make two of the same gender a couple:) thats awesome pride:) i just bought Sims 3 ambitions my sim is a tattoo artist rides a motorcycle lol shes a ghost hunter as well its so cool:) you should get the Sims 3 Ambitions you'll love it you can put tattooes on your character when you create them:D

I like how the characters look a little more realistic and all, but the hair doesn't look as real as the rest of them. And you have to spend time downloading all kinds of custom content to get a half way decent looking sim. And the faces have too much fat. I just kinda expected the sims 3 to be a huge step forward, not a baby step. But other than that, it's a decent game.
I love this game. I hate cheating on it though. So much better working the way up and the different generations inheriting the big bucks and having the awesome house.
When the first Sims came out, my friend & I were playing it and when Bob & Betty Newbie had a child, Betty would exit out the room leaving Bob & the baby.....Bob( being across the room from the carraige) turned towards it, cuped is hands around his mouth and yelled "Booooo!...Booo!"
The thing that bothers me the MOST in Sims 3 is the fact that you can't change the breast size of the women. Without downloading a mod, I would not be able to make a Sim of myself, having big breasts and an otherwise small figure is just not going with this game :/
Also, I liked the controls of Sims 2 better, in Sims 3 I really have to search to find the button that does what I want. So, a minus there, too.
Other than that, best Sims game up to date, it (almost) lives up to my high standards!

I can talk for hours about my Sims... I let one girl grow up, marry a Sim from town, and then have lots of babies - by accident, my 'fourth' child turned out to be triplets. So I had 6 babies to take care of. It was stressful.
I have to say I never use the motherload cheat. I think it takes the fun out of the game. If you spend some time on it, it's very easy to take your Sims to the top of a career and make them wealthy.
I hate that when you complete your life wish, you can't pick a new one.
@EllaABo by the way, that Sims she married turned out to be a pyromaniac. It was a hidden trait, but I only found out after I got married and I could control him. I was able to make hip put random buildings in the village on fire. It was hilarious. xD
you know instead of having to do all the work in creating them you can always go to sims exchange on sims 3 an download w/e sim you like pre made :) just a tip if you didnt already know chow
I was a bit worried when I got TS3 last summer, but it really was worth it. Like she said, the loading time is the biggest downside to the game, but another thing is the maxis hair and clothing designs (like the other games) I would strongly recomend downloading custom content for the game, but don't get too much, or the game will become horribly slow. It really is an amazing game, though =]

my sims experience is the same as you, but there is one other cheat that i use a lot and its testingCheatsEnabled true this helps with their needs. And about the loading time and stuff I think it all depends on the computer because it goes supe super fast on mine.

When I grew my teenager to an adult and moved him out the house reset itself and he was there again as a teen PLUS he was in his own house as an adult but no l onger had any ties to his family...and the sims in other house are supposed to age along with the house your currently playing but that never worked for me. Not worth it in my opinion. I still love my sims2.

Yeah the slow loading times r due to your computer my game loads in like two minutes. Its quick for me...but before i got the new computer, it took like 10 minutes in the sims 2...ugh! But yeah i really like ur review (: haha.

i know you loaded this a while ago, but i had to comment cause i LOVE sims games, My tip for you is to start gardening as soon as you start a character and always search for the "rare" seeds by the science building and the graveyard, you have to get your gardening up before you can plant them but then you can grow the life plant (to prevent aging) and the money tree (which never dies and makes you easy cash!). you may already know that but i thought i would share. : )

I loved the original sims mainly because it focused more on building, sims 2 and im assuming sims 3 focuses more on the actual sims characters but not so much on building the house, you can bug furniture and change the wall colors but I found building a house from scratch was a pain in the ass DX
I have this broblem. Every time I'm making a new family, in the clothing area of what ever it's called, my computer screen goes black and I have to shut the whole computer. It sucks, and I paid it like 50 euro(maybe 45 dollars):(
my sister just got the game for her birthday and it took her like 3 hours just to make like 2 sims and she didnt even play the game like make the house and go into the neighbourhood because it took so long to load,
I just loved the Sims2. I think it was definately the best. Mostly because I'v downloaded alot of houses/sims/clothes etc. Where as when I got the sims3 I missed all of the downloaded stuff. The first one is the original, and much better than the latest. I was just not impressed with the Sims3.
I was thinking about getting this game, because I've always wanted a game like real life. It's just more fun then actual real life, lol.
But I wasn't sure, because I've never owned a Sims game and I didn't know if it was worth it. After hearing what you said, it sounds just as fun if not more then I thought. Christmas is coming so maybe that might be on the wish list. :)

I really think this game sucks compared to TS2. The sims are ugly and i'm pissed that I don't have a neighborhood creator. The personality trait system is the only good thing about TS3.

Some people might not know but for the sims 3 if you press ctrl+shift+c and type in testingcheatsenabled true < just like that and press enter you can just make their moods different and raise their hunger/sleep and all the other stuff and you can click a sim and press shift at the same time you can put their job level at whatever you want or just pick a job instead of waiting for the news paper and stuff.
I pre-ordered it so i got it as soon as it came out ;D! It was amazing when i saw the hair/highlights/roots and the bottom i was spending an hour on my first sim! Haha :) I also really like the traits it's really cool that the sims now have more personality. I personally prefer sims 2 but i also have sims 1 ;P

I had the first sims and it was the funniest thing ever my children would go to school in the game and my "husband" and I would go to work. So one day a really weird bus so up to get the kids one day and I like woah what's going on here and i find out the kids are being sent off the military school and it was so weird. And then husband was set on fire and died poor husband philip.
i'm not sure if i want to invest in it. i have sims2 and expansion packs seasons and apartment life. i think im happy with just buying more expansion packs. my friend got it and said it runs super slow on her computer. so i think if i do get it, ill just wait another couple of years until i move out and i can load it on my own computer with no other crap :] thanks for the review though, you told us a few things other people havent. love your makeup vids btw :D

Ok, I'm an avid player of all the sims games. One thing that really clinched uninstalling Sims 3 was the fact that I couldn't save my families. On 3 separate days, I tried 3 separate times, and my family kept going back into the family bin... very frustrating. I didn't really notice any longer load times.

I used to Love creating my own neighborhoods, but you can't do that in TS3. Where are the aliens?

i preordered the sims 3 and i got it on teh saturday staright after it was on sale. and i never got to play it. it crashed repeatedly the furthest i got was creating the sim's make-up bit. then it crashed. -.- i gave up and i asked my dad to get a new computer when he comes back from work. i'm still dying to play it my dad should be home soon and i'll get a new computer so i can't wait. what i managed to do on it so far was fab:)

i hate sims 3! it's so slow on my computer, and when i try to get good graphics everything lags like crazy. it takes more like an hour than a few seconds for sims to eat.
my sims3 was really slow too, so my boyfriend got me 2 GB extra for my laptop and now it works really well! it was about £40, which seems a lot but it's sped up my internet connection and basically my whole laptop too so it's worth the money.
mine is EXTREEEMMMLYYY slow if anyone else has this problem cuz i go insane while its loading sooo if anyone knows if i can fix it or if its just the game please let me know
The best cheat code is testingcheatsenabled true. When you hold down shift and click the mail box you can make your sims automatically happy and if you hold down shift and click on your sim you can change the traits and stuff.
I have the Sims 3 and it is awesome!!!! But... I have this one family who I had to change there house like 3 times because it kept screwing up. But other than that, I have fun!

you know instead of having to do all the work in creating them you can always go to sims exchange on sims 3 an download w/e sim you like pre made :) just a tip if you didnt already know chow

I was a bit worried when I got TS3 last summer, but it really was worth it. Like she said, the loading time is the biggest downside to the game, but another thing is the maxis hair and clothing designs (like the other games) I would strongly recomend downloading custom content for the game, but don't get too much, or the game will become horribly slow. It really is an amazing game, though =]

my sims experience is the same as you, but there is one other cheat that i use a lot and its testingCheatsEnabled true this helps with their needs. And about the loading time and stuff I think it all depends on the computer because it goes supe super fast on mine.

i played sims 2 for my like life in 4th grade to 6th, I was a little bit of amloner. Then I got really tired of it, the sims in sims 2 look so UGLY! the hairstyles are stupid and they can't look pretty, they have fishfacesD;.
SO I got sims 3 the day it came out aswell and its amazing! i play it allll the time! I download all the cool clothes and hairstyles from that mod site for free and I use motherlode as well (: its verryyyyy fun

I have Sims 3 too and i think it is awesome! I agree about the loading time but once it is loaded i have no probs and i can just sit there for hours (lol i need to get a hobby xD) . But for me building the house and putting in all the furni takes the longest srysly one time i spent like 5 hours doing this amazing house.....but fate is cruel >:( cause after i finished befor i cud save it mah comp crashed (piece of junk) and it was gone! T.T but gr8 vid lol and im glad u like it too

When I grew my teenager to an adult and moved him out the house reset itself and he was there again as a teen PLUS he was in his own house as an adult but no l onger had any ties to his family...and the sims in other house are supposed to age along with the house your currently playing but that never worked for me. Not worth it in my opinion. I still love my sims2.

I had sims two and sims two unleashed, but then I downsized to a small acer computer that doesn't have a cd drive. T.T idont know WHY i did that. *shakes head* I'll jsut continue to save up and get my mac pro that i want.

Yeah the slow loading times r due to your computer my game loads in like two minutes. Its quick for me...but before i got the new computer, it took like 10 minutes in the sims 2...ugh! But yeah i really like ur review (: haha.

i know you loaded this a while ago, but i had to comment cause i LOVE sims games, My tip for you is to start gardening as soon as you start a character and always search for the "rare" seeds by the science building and the graveyard, you have to get your gardening up before you can plant them but then you can grow the life plant (to prevent aging) and the money tree (which never dies and makes you easy cash!). you may already know that but i thought i would share. : )

It might be your computer. Sims 3 loads, saves and exits in like 1 minute for me. Some times faster.
It's amazing and so much different from Sims 2 where it took almost 7 minutes to take me to a shop.

Oh, and I was in the cemetery, I explored the aqueduct I found a gnome, put him in my garden.

I loved the original sims mainly because it focused more on building, sims 2 and im assuming sims 3 focuses more on the actual sims characters but not so much on building the house, you can bug furniture and change the wall colors but I found building a house from scratch was a pain in the ass DX

I just loved the Sims2. I think it was definately the best. Mostly because I'v downloaded alot of houses/sims/clothes etc. Where as when I got the sims3 I missed all of the downloaded stuff. The first one is the original, and much better than the latest. I was just not impressed with the Sims3.

I was thinking about getting this game, because I've always wanted a game like real life. It's just more fun then actual real life, lol.
But I wasn't sure, because I've never owned a Sims game and I didn't know if it was worth it. After hearing what you said, it sounds just as fun if not more then I thought. Christmas is coming so maybe that might be on the wish list. :)

I really think this game sucks compared to TS2. The sims are ugly and i'm pissed that I don't have a neighborhood creator. The personality trait system is the only good thing about TS3.

That is sooo cool,Id play sims with you all day! but yeah, I don't have sims 3, Im currently hooked on sims 2..My neighbor however has sims 3 & I have played it,& it's sooo cool! just as you said :] It's crazy! I think it's funny you do all of that stuff, like I went to the Morgue & my Girl went in there and she came out all burnt & terrified!! I WAS LIKE OH MAN!! SCARY!! Some people might not know but for the sims 3 if you press ctrl+shift+c and type in testingcheatsenabled true < just like that and press enter you can just make their moods different and raise their hunger/sleep and all the other stuff and you can click a sim and press shift at the same time you can put their job level at whatever you want or just pick a job instead of waiting for the news paper and stuff.

I pre-ordered it so i got it as soon as it came out ;D! It was amazing when i saw the hair/highlights/roots and the bottom i was spending an hour on my first sim! Haha :) I also really like the traits it's really cool that the sims now have more personality. I personally prefer sims 2 but i also have sims 1 ;P

omg omg omg omg omg! the sims 3 is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!! EVERYONE should get it. i have got sims 1- 3 and i love them all, but the sheer scale of the sims 3 is gobsmacking! i could go on for the details forever!!! in the actual game it takes less time to load then sims 2 coz u can zoom out and go to town instantly, instead of loading everything sepratly (cba 2 spell) every time. overall, the most addicting game ever. GET IT!!

I had the first sims and it was the funniest thing ever my children would go to school in the game and my "husband" and I would go to work. So one day a really weird bus so up to get the kids one day and I like woah what's going on here and i find out the kids are being sent off the military school and it was so weird. And then husband was set on fire and died poor husband philip.

i'm not sure if i want to invest in it. i have sims2 and expansion packs seasons and apartment life. i think im happy with just buying more expansion packs. my friend got it and said it runs super slow on her computer. so i think if i do get it, ill just wait another couple of years until i move out and i can load it on my own computer with no other crap :] thanks for the review though, you told us a few things other people havent. love your makeup vids btw :D

Ok, I'm an avid player of all the sims games. One thing that really clinched uninstalling Sims 3 was the fact that I couldn't save my families. On 3 separate days, I tried 3 separate times, and my family kept going back into the family bin... very frustrating. I didn't really notice any longer load times.
You actually got further in your game than I ever could.
I used to Love creating my own neighborhoods, but you can't do that in TS3. Where are the aliens?
So needless to say I'm back on TS2

i preordered the sims 3 and i got it on teh saturday staright after it was on sale. and i never got to play it. it crashed repeatedly the furthest i got was creating the sim's make-up bit. then it crashed. -.- i gave up and i asked my dad to get a new computer when he comes back from work. i'm still dying to play it my dad should be home soon and i'll get a new computer so i can't wait. what i managed to do on it so far was fab:)

my sims3 was really slow too, so my boyfriend got me 2 GB extra for my laptop and now it works really well! it was about £40, which seems a lot but it's sped up my internet connection and basically my whole laptop too so it's worth the money.

The best cheat code is testingcheatsenabled true. When you hold down shift and click the mail box you can make your sims automatically happy and if you hold down shift and click on your sim you can change the traits and stuff.
