Downtown LA needs revitalization NOW!! It's overpopulated with all these latin american stores that make the city look cheap and dirty. Those people don't respect the city and where they live. There are good parts and bad parts like any city in the world, I live near Seville, Southern Spain, and i go to Los Angeles nearly every year, as I have family in Larchmont, I love LA for me its my second home and I take with me a bit of Seville when im there and i bring back home a bit of LA in me. Seville and Los Angeles are for me my favourite Cities.

they actually do... its just the angelenos arent used to all that high rise culture.. they're so glued to suburbs and private transportation. the high rises are there and ppl are moving into them... so some angelenos see that vision as well, for la to go back to urban city living, we just need a way for the rest of la to see the advantages of mass transit and living in a vertical city rather than a sprawled out one

You leave out burbank airport on the backside and you land right in North Hollywood which is a district of Los Angeles city limits located in San Fernando valley. There are good parts and bad parts like any city in the world, I live near Seville, Southern Spain, and i go to Los Angeles nearly every year, as I have family in Larchmont, I love LA for me its my second home and I take with me a bit of Seville when im there and i bring back home a bit of LA in me. Seville and Los Angeles are for me my favourite Cities.

Actually, California used to be a sparsely populated outpost of Spain before Mexico's independence, and Mexico only had it for about 25 years. Mexicans didn't start moving to California in large numbers until after the Mexican Revolution of 1910. It's a myth that Mexicans were always in LA, the "Mexican" identity didn't really exist until well after they got their independence.

Before the Spaniards came to what is now LA, the area was populated by the native Americans, specifically the Tongva. There are Tongva living today, they just don't have their own reservation like other native American tribes. Try telling them that they are Mexican, or any other native tribe in soCal like the Pechanga tribe or the Chumash. I think they will disagree too.
