Fantastic! Jean-Michel Jarre-type sound without the weight of a REAL Eminent 310. The ARP Solina String Ensemble is actually an Eminent solina but was licenced by ARP to be badged an ARP. Lovely sound with that phaser effect on it. If you want the Jarre string sound but have no room for an Eminent 310, this is the second best option without question Just add an Electro-Harmonix small stone phaser and chourus effect and there you have it.
I have heard of Jean Michel Jarre and have done since I was young. I just don't see why you must use a cheesy drum machine with your eminent because he did, that you must play funk on your Moog, do Duran Duran on a Jupiter 8 and nearly everyone with a polymoog plays the same Gary Numan Song! I like the videos where people take their machine and say "What can I make this do?" Jexus is a real master at this! His synth demos take each one to the limits...
I 'll tell ya- there was something about the ARP strings--something that i find beautifully haunting to this day-nothing can duplicate it. I was priveldged to meet the man who worked for ARP who created the independent voice phase modulation circuitry that was used in the ARP omni, string ensemble, and the Quadra. very nice
Yeah, this gets my vote as well.
I could listen to this sound all night long. Slow it down a bit (and maybe drop it an octave {{{???maybe???}}}.

It sure sounds like oxygen. But it would be better with a Eminent 310U

This is really gorgeous to listen to. I love the swirley string sounds but I don't like the rhythm machine. You need a real drummer!

Apparently you don't know the sound he's going after. Ever heard of Jean Michel Jarre? Listen to Oxygene and you'll understand.
