Jamey is the best thing that has blown into Nashville in a very long time. I am native Nashvillian, I have seen it at its best and worst hahaha I hated country music for a lot of the time because of the cookie cutter hat wearing types. Jamey Johnson is a "songwriter's songwriter". He has a respect and knowledge of country music history. He is also a fan of Sanger D. "Whitey" Shafer, who was one of the writers of this song. Shafer had many of his songs recorded by the likes of George Strait and Keith Whitley. You know his songs.... "All My Exes Live In Texas" for instance.  "Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind". "I Never Go Around Mirrors". Johnson is great, and he pays respect to those who paved the way.
