She was the guest author at a children's book fair in the town that I'm living in. It was kind of embarrassing because I was the only adult in line to meet her that didn't have a kid attached to me! LOL! She's really nice though and said that she always imagined the Davidson shop in Colonial Williamsburg as Ben and Felicitiy's. Now, I have to go to Colonial Williamsburg even more! lol

Yes, he would. Think about it- what better way to get to know Ben and see what kind of person he is? If Ben is working for Felicity's Dad, then her dad would really see if he was a good guy or not. Also, girls didn't usually get married quite THAT young then, but...by the time Felicity is 16 or 17, Ben would be 23 or 24, and then it would have been fine for them to get married.
Ben and Felicity were not a couple, but they were in my imagination.

OMG! Ben looks like Zach Effron soooooooooo much to me! I love felicity's dresses and I wish I had them even though they would be uncomfortable! They are sooooo pretty! I agree that Ben and Felicty are a really cute couple <3! Bye people! PEACE!

I loved these books when I was younger and the movie was so cute...and they REALLY made it look like Felicity and Ben had a thing for each other. I thought it was adorable and didn't really care about how old they were supposed to be...I felt like they might have made Felicity a bit older in the movie anyway, and didn't they say Ben was 15 in it? Besides in that time period the age thing wouldn't be thought of like it is now. Good job!

totally amazing! i never was a big felicity fan when i was younger (i'm more of a molly fan...i was totally disappointed with the movie! they left out my fave parts...but it was overall good). watching this movie...i kinda thought ben&felicity had a thing. Even though they were 10&16...both what if.

Correction on the title of Dale Taylor's book--I've got so many books that they all seem to blurr! It's "The Writer's Guide to Everyday Life in Colonial America", sorry!

Oh sure Ben and Lissie would hook up! Great vid, by the way! I'm working on a fanfic right now and I've done LOTS of research--apprentices often married their master's daughter in those days, it was a very common thing! Check out The Writer's Guide to Colonial Life by Dale Taylor if you don't belileve me. And Mr. Merriman seems fond of Ben. No reason whatsoever for these two to Not be together!

Yes, he would. Think about it- what better way to get to know Ben and see what kind of person he is? If Ben is working for Felicity's Dad, then her dad would really see if he was a good guy or not. Also, girls didn't usually get married quite THAT young then, but...by the time Felicity is 16 or 17, Ben would be 23 or 24, and then it would have been fine for them to get married.
