Is it possible to be free of the accumulation of experience? Is it possible experience music, sex, food, a beautiful face, the clouds in the sky, your spouse or friend, the computer when you turn it on, the amazing technology of an automobile, the wonder of being alive, as if you're experiencing these things for the first time? Try looking at the world THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD. That's a Moody Blues song. Search for it on YouTube and listen to it now.
Beautiful Lyrics.... "Candle Of Life" Something you can't hide Says you're lonely Hidden deep inside Of you only It's there for you to see Take a look and be Burn slowly the candle of life Something there outside Says we're only In the hands of time Falling slowly It's there for us to know With love that we can go Burn slowly the candle of life So love everybody And make them your friend So love everybody And make them your friend
this song continues to inspire me and keep me going since I first heard it years ago. I'm very grateful to the source of this.... "... who is the artist we have to agree..." :)

Stefaan: Forever Autumn comes from Jeff Wayne's album "War of the Worlds" It's Justin Hayward who sings this song and Justin Hayward is the Lead Singer of the Moody Blues.
The analysis of this song ? A psychedelic influeneced song based a lovely mellotron and piano base. If you like this kind of songs this belongs to the top 4 in its own area.
This song is so beautiful and so haunting. It just captures you and holds you there so mesmerized by its magical beauty. I have loved The Moodies since I was a little girl and they have never ceased to amaze me with all their beautiful songs and melodies! What a band!! There will never be a time like there was with The Moodies. That is a shame but at least we still have their music and videos to enjoy to this day. This band has touched souls from the past and today. That is phenomenal! :))
@3shacks1house You are right! Greatness is almost a one in a million shot of coming around like that of The Moody Blues again. But you know, as much as I miss them as a band together back in the day, I most certainly would want it to remain that way. How could it ever be the same today? you know? Anyway, thanks so much for your comment!! :))
@twinklebear22 Your comment is so right! I have loved their music since I was a little kid as well. I am 44 today and I love it more than ever. There are moments in my life when no other music will do but the Moodies. Their music is on a level all to its own.
@frazzittasong Me too friend!! Their music touches my soul like no other and I , just like you, find times in my life where I need their music to help me to get through something or just to sit back and relax to. What a phenomenal band!! You are so right! Their music is truly on a level all its own!! Thanks for your comment!! :))
@twinklebear22 Awesome!! I have LOVED them since i was a little boy!!! They are DEFINITELY one of my favorite bands of ALL time!!! There are certain songs that make me cry because they are SO efffin' beautiful and this is one of them!! I esp. LOVE the very end from 3:52 on. Like some others here have said - beautiful in such a haunting way!! Two other songs that make me cry are: Cats in the Cradle (Chapin) and Count on me (Starship) mostly because I think of my father and friends I have lost :-(

I have made a CD of To Our Children's, Children's Children, carefully packed it in several layers of cardboard boxes, and entrusted it to my 13 year old Grand- daughter, with instructions to give it to her children. I will probably be dead by the time her children [my children's, children's children] are old enough to understand it. I had a long talk with her, and she is supposed to explain it and how much it meant to me. Our dreams of peace, love and outer space. Thanks Moodies.
@RayButchPerry; Your comment is beautiful. What a wonderful gift you have yet to share. Let's hope the future never loses sight of what our world was made up of. Our generation really did want peace & love. We believed and still do that it is possible. I know I do. <3

The words to this song are so true. The moody Blues got into all our souls and made us realize so much about ourselves. So talented, so creative, so true. Willl remember this band forever and beyond........ This song makes me think. So Love everybody and make them your friend...........PEACE! Juniquejulie
I just came on to ffind a few Moodies cuts to my 15yo nephew who has taken an interest in classic rock recently. I just intended to forward a few links to him but wound up listening to every Moodies song I came to. haha. Even though I alreay have them all on CD. They wrote such beautiful melodies. Haunting... it's just hard to stop listening. He just bought Beatles Revolver today and called me to ask whether he should get Abby Road or Let It Be tomorrow. haha. The more things change...
beautiful ! .. wish I had a dime for every night I fell asleep with the headphones on with a stack of moody blues lp's on the turntable (yes, we used to stack vinyl albums not just 45's) kick myself now !
@starblade9 my dad passed last month, painfull, strange to find solace in music he loved, timeless music, I hope you get to where you need to be to ease the hurt...

One of the best from one of the best bands of all time. I remember it melting walls into beautiful patterns of color while the shag carpet became a foot deep in Persian rug patterns. The wisdom of living life more aware and enjoying it instead of racing through it. The first group of real pro musicians to combine symphonic and heavy rock music along with soaring harmony vocals and meaningful words. Bombastic? Hardly. Pathetic---Never.
The piano you are hearing is played by Michael Pinder. He left the band shortly after they got back together in 1978 if I remember right. He is very good and I think he has done somethings on his own since leaving the band.
