@sikcivic80 Ignition is our weekly first drive/first test show, and each episode will be about five minutes long. We have seven other shows coming, ranging from five minutes to 22 minutes in length. We're mixing it up because we want to find out what works best in this new channel format.

Finally Motor Trend is catching on, but possibly too little too late.. You guys kept falling behind in the times compared to other shows. Hope you decide to be an innovator vs a follower, you won't get many more opportunities. Because, Top gear, 5th gear, Dmotor, and a few others have ran the expectations of Car shows to new levels. Anything less, will fail.

It seems to me that Top Gear only puts shortened versions of their videos on YouTube, mostly in 2nd-rate resolution and ?intentionally? messed up audio.

Tiff Needell is my hero (and I'm sorry that Jason Plato ?has left? the show) but Motortrend is no worse than 5th Gear. Being European I'm very annoyed due how TG and 5G ignore US production. So thanks Motortrend for review of Mustang GT500, GT and Boss 302, also for giving us Europeans taste of Raptor.

@JaroslavOfTheWorld TG & 5G do ignore most of US production stuff. But since your European, you should see some what why they bias stuff. We've been behind the times for a while. Its bad when older Euro cars can hang with new US stuff still. Regardless, they do show some stuff, though limited i agree. They have shown some stangs, one's that even US didn't bother with. They do have alot in their own region though. Where we do the same here. Its kinda a mute point there.

@JaroslavOfTheWorld - i haven't ran across them yet. Been on the dragtimes channel lately. We've grown too use to the way most US shows have done things. Most don't accept change. Quite a few shows didnt touch tuner market. Now that Car manufactures are doing in house tuning, things changed. TG/BBC isnt a fan of loosing $ to Youtube. BBC gets $ from tv views. 5th gear isnt better than MT. But like TG, its had great camera work. Something US stuff never had. Its about balance.

@JaroslavOfTheWorld - MT is fully capable, but they have to find a balance & an original way to get ahead. Nearly everything's been done. I try to see things from all angles. They will need to not stick with typical format and be an innovator. God knows US shows need it. Its kind of funny were the same, but opposite. But i appreciate it due to the fact you ad insight from other angles, as may i to you. This is one of those "rare" discussions on YT where there is no BS lol.

LoL, Son. This coming from a "Kid" thats 16 years younger than I. To get a Class C you need to be 16+, so you got a max of 4 years experience. Thats 19 years less seat time then me road/track wise.
