@agdj17 Honestly, you only need a pair of pliers and a screwdriver or allen wrench(for your hardware). If you're gripping your board yourself, you'll need a utility knife, and anything metal to file the griptape,I use a broken truck lol. Hope that helped

how much tension should the truck have?

basically not to tight not to loose, they should be tight but not overly tight coz then the board becomes way too stiff. Tighten them so you can just about move them then go out ride your board for a while and see if the trucks have become less tight, if they have re-tighten them obviously but a bit tighter than last. It worked for me and i hardly ever need to re-tighten them, without them digging into the wood or restricting turning :) hope that helped ha
