I think that the YF-19 is better because, well 1st it looks cooler, 2nd it actually requires skill to pilot, in the YF-21 all you do is fall asleep and think about kicking someones ass

Check out Macross Zero, to see just how the transformation and missile lock works.....(slo-mo). I can see it happening(all about react-and-respond)...... To just look at a particular missile to get the GUARANTEED lock, it's why we play video games, now(haha)! Besides, the alien/tech/SCI-FI angle, will always trump any logical/scientific/fact, regarding the High-G effect on the human body..... Hell they're moving at 10X the speed of light, on Star Trek!! (I luv', "inertial dampeners"..)!!

When Isamu yells at Guld "Let your trained mind save you bastard" While he's stomping a mudhole in his ass was classic.

I know fighter pilots go through a lot of intense training. But could you imagine the amount of skill an effort it takes to pilot a veritech? Especially the YF-21. I don't even think a human being could handle it.

Since it's not a Robotech show, VARIABLE FIGHTER or VALKYRIE are the correct terms. MACROSS is not Robotech and vice versa. In fact, Robotech is just a crappy ripoff off the original Macross (Super Dimension Fortress Macross). "Robotech is a story adapted with edited content and revised dialogue from the animation of three different mecha anime series: The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada."

In my country Indonesia more than ten years ago... They aired an animation series named Robotech. But it was exactly Macross with Ichijou Hikaru. The difference was, it was English dubbed.

So I thought Robotech was the English translated title for Macross..

Since this is an anime about fighter planes that can transform into robots, we can explain that as 'anime magic' why pilots such as Guld and Isamu could do those feats which real world pilots can't. (Then again we don't have brain-controlled fighter planes that transforms into a robot yet).
