AAAND u put the beer completly wrong into the WRONG GLASS... u drink beer in smaller glasses 0,2l .... AND its noot bitter... try to drink a german "pils" thats bitter but its tasty too.... maybe i make a video how to put beer into glass xD...but cool work u do ther^^

Anyway for mix-beers our belgium neighbours are the specialists.

No one needs amercian beer. It´s a quuestion of quality. (same as cars --> GM) :-p

Little big difference: Thhis german beverage you talk about is beer mixed with lemonade (50/50), also it contains only half the amount of alcohol (about 2.5%) -> not really an alco-pop. By law this stuff is not allowed to be sold as "beer". Our belgium neighbours are famous for flavouring beer, there´s no restriction like "Reinheitsgebot". And frankly you´ll find there some really good stuff.

... in german disocunters you won´t find american beer at all, maybe by accident. (I have once seen a single bottle of Miller light... ;-). But mexican beers are quite famous here, for instance Corona, Sol, Pacifico, Bohemia is available and I also really like that beer. (Spent a view weeks in Yucatan last year ;-))

If your used to waterlike crap like BUD light you probably find every german beer bitter.

I guess Kölsch in general is not that bitter at all.

Try Bitburger or an other Pils than you know what I mean.

I was talking about American craft brewers, but really what's the difference between Budweiser and your average helles? They are both pale, watery lagers brewed for a mass market.

Wait - you cannot pronounce any of the beers you talked about, you cannot pour beer either, and you seriously want to say this beer is plain?? Are you sure you weren't talking about yourself?? This is the best Kölsch out there, so stick to drinking stuff you know. Beer clearly is not one of them.

I am an American who enjoys brewing his own beer. (I don't disagree with you about the majority of Americans but there are a few of us who like Quality beer)

I personally have never tried a Kolsch, recently just made an Altbier, which I have heard is similar (and read some humorous stories about the two).

Do you recommend Kolsch as an easier beer to chug or is it more of a beer to enjoy?

Koelsch is definitely an easier beer same als Altbier (in principle, taste is completely different), can be swollowed like lemonade... ;) A beer you drink with a bunch of friends while beeing in an pub or watching a game.. (or both)

If you´d ever come to to cologne you need to try it ...
