STRICKLY AMAZING MAORINESS AT ITS BEST KIA ORA KORUA I GET LOST LISTENING TO UR VOICE N GATT PLAYING GIFTS SENT FROM THE HEAVENS TO CALM PEPS AHUA CHUR MAORIS MEAN MANA MAORI AYIT TINO ATAAHUA
Thank you manurawiti for posting this - a truly beautiful piece of work, complimenting the beautiful talents of Maisey & JJ..I cried through the whole thing first time round - you cannot help but feel moved by it. It makes me feel so blessed and grateful to live in such a beautiful country such as Aotearoa, and proud to be Maori.
@shonnybby95 - Not 100% sure as i pickd chords up listening... engaari/but if u have a capo...put it on 2nd fret. Starts with Em, C (A barre), D ... this is an excellent post to listen to as this version u can hear JJ's strumming...sori cant help u thea..still figuring it my own self! JJ also uses open chord strum after playing Em U can play same chords without capo, but of course wont be in same key as Maisey. Kia ora.
Tu tangata mahea tangi tonu ahau, Tu tangata mahea tangi tonu ahau I tona wa i tu totara koe pioi mahaki ana e Whakakoa ana i te aio tangi ana ahau Pa ana mai nga tipuna patata kia ahau Tu tangata mahea tangi tonu ahau I mate i te au kapapa, tu tete kura e Tu tangata, mahea, tangi tonu ahau, Once I stood like a Totara tree, gently swaying in the breeze, I hear a whisper in the air, and I cry. I feel my tipuna everywhere, even next to me, Proud & noble, strong & free and still I cry.
Any song that Masey has sung, as far back from when I heard here at St Joes Maori Girls College in Taradale, is indeed a pleasure, I could listen to her all day, her voice is so amazing, and her mother is the same....a natural in them both.....xoxo
Loving it i remember listening to Maisey sing at school and straight up was the best part of my school days lol Its the most amazing experience to be in her presents while she sings, your excited sad happy overwhelmed in aw of her amazing talent it would be a crime not to share her with the world!!!
beautifulllllllllllllllllllllll voice more than words can say im in ozz at da mo listen to ur music and its hard out makin me miss home :(:( love ur voice
I love this song and the way you sing it. reminds me of Home. takes me back to the days where we use to roam the tracks in the Whirinaki Forest. the sound of the birds singing, the bushes swaying in the breeze, the sound of the waterfalls, sun Shining and the company of friends and family.
something special about her voice that it just reminds me of the sea....so natural you will only get from her like the sound of the waves crashing that you will only get from the sea, and that beautiful sound that will travel with the wind and flow in the air, brushing along your face and in your ear....she sings with all her heart, and you can just feel it...makes me so homesick hearing this song but then it reminds me of how beautiful aotearoa is...love you maisey....love you aotearoa
hi from a maisey rika supporter and fan from america! ;] downloaded both of her albums on iTunes, but i would like the download to this song. is this on iTunes as well? can somebody help me? thanks!
