Best engine in the v6 range short of the new pentastar. I have the same car. sluggish of the mark but mid range past 4000rpm and she has so much to give
god i love wat people do to their cars to make em sound nice this one soudns nice as **** lol im hoping for my first car to get a mustang they sound nice with flowmasters etc.
@NBerry604 bad on gas? my 2006 300 3.5 V6 gives me 32 + MPG HWY!! i take a photo and send it to my friends who jerkoff on jap n euro crap and it really burns their ass!
@NBerry604 Completely not true. My 300 3.5 gets about 500+ kms a tank. Approx 11L / 100km city driving. Which is awsome for this car. And the 3.5 deff. has more then enough go for the car. My 3.5 hauls ass, doesnt have to work hard at all.
For those that don't know, the V6s put out more power than most of the V8s that came about in the 90s...nice vid, made me go out and do it in mine (again).
Please, they may be good but not that good. LT1 from early 90s makes an underrated 280 stock, and LS1 well over 300 stock. And dont get me started on the torque..
i have a 2002 eclipse with a burnt up motor in it im looking to swap it out to a 3.5 liter it will be a circle track car non registered for track purposes only....it had a 3.0 liter v6 when the guy i bought it from had it and i want some serious power.....any suggestions? thanks-army1ty
Ture, but I would hope an engine that is almost twice the size of mine would almost make as much power. It's not a cobalt. HHR SS same engine but weighs 3200 pounds so it isnt that light.
wake up dumbass your HHR is a tin can compared to the 300 I would only hope a much smaller and lighter car would walk this boat in a straight line. i hope you die for being so stupid.
Just some weed. But not yet today... I used my stop watch on this and several 300C v6 vids and they are all the same. Slow as fuk! You may think my car is ugly but I don't and thats all that matters to me. I didn't buy for everybody elses approval, only mine which it has.
ok buddy why are you acting surprised that a 3800 lb full size sedan shaped like a brick with a v6 is slow? we've had this argument before....what you're saying is completely relative. I could go out and buy a Corvette ZR1 and guess what....your HHR would be slow as fuck. Period.
1993-1997 ES intrepids can have the first gen 3.5 making 214hp(easy way to tell is it has 2 exhaust tips side by side and the 3.3 has a single tip on the left side of the back bumper), 1998-2004 Intrepid SXT offers the 2nd gen 3.5(250hp) and the R/T only has the 3.5 and I think in the 02-04 ES's the 3.5 is an option but it only has 235hp, But any 98-up Chrysler car with a 3.5 is the 2nd gen making 250 aside from the new avenger R/T which for some reason the 3.5L only puts out 235hp.
hmm interesting facts thanx, yea i dont get why a 6spd avenger has a 3.5 w/235hp. itwouldve been better with an HO 3.5 and 5spd slapstick (i refuse to call my "autostick" an "autostick" i say slapstick sounds cool :-p)
Yeah i agree, It was stupid because the avenger r/t does a 0-60 in 7 seconds which is OK but for it to be the high performance model that extra 15hp probably could of taken it down to the 6 second range which is starting to be considered quick
yea besides every avenger i see in my part of the town, theyre just base models so we might be expecting a model drop possibly? i mean whats the price diff between the rt avenger and sxt charger? not even the sxt charger now they have the SE plus wich is an sxt w/out fog lamps. se plus > avenger rt anyday.
Im not sure the actual price difference, but the base model chargers (SE) comes stock with the junky 2.7L rated at 190 horsepower and the next step up is the 3.5 at 250hp.
mm ya ya the se has a 2.7 (not worth it) but they just launched a new seris called "SE PLUS" its an SE model with some upgrades and instead of the 2.7 you get an engine upgrade of the 3.5L

Should have gone with a NISSAN..

I drove a friends 300 with the 3.5, it was really bad on gas, the smaller motor has to do more work then the Hemi and its a pretty heavy car.

Sad. 0-60 in 9 seconds and 0-100 in like 24 seconds. My stock 2.0l turbo does 0-60 in 5.5 and 0-100 in 13.4.
VitaminE6SS 2 years ago
Your 2.0L TURBO car, likely a cobalt, weighs a HELL of a lot less than this does. AND it makes similar power to this N/A V6.
rudolphna54 2 years ago
Ture, but I would hope an engine that is almost twice the size of mine would almost make as much power. It's not a cobalt. HHR SS same engine but weighs 3200 pounds so it isnt that light.

about 18 city 25-27 highway. i had a 3.5L Limited 300 and i got almost 30 most of the tim eon the highway

Right now I'm doing 100 percent city driving and getting 13.2l/100km or nearly 18 MPG...
That would improve slightly if I didn't always use a/c or do quick take offs every now and then.

you have a first gen 3.5? or a 2nd gen? 1st generation (93-97)
94EglVisionTSI 3 years ago
i dont understand what you mean? its the High Output motor used on its brothers too.
MoParguytilidie 3 years ago
I was asking sexces if he has a 1st gen 3.5 or a 2nd gen 3.5, because i have a first gen and had some methods to make it quick
94EglVisionTSI 3 years ago
it would be a second. but what the main diference? like the way the intake is setup?
MoParguytilidie 3 years ago
Heads, intake manifold, some other stuff. 1st generation 3.5 makes 214hp/221ft.lbs, 2nd gen makes 250hp/250ft.lbs
94EglVisionTSI 3 years ago
was that on the intrepid?
