towmanred, why did you break into it? (there is no shiftlok on that car). I understand dragging it but do you have skates? it sounded like rubber on pavement. Gojacks are for newbies.
No, Go-Jaks are for people who don't want to get caught dragging something.. or who don't want to end up having to drag something 19 miles away so they can flip sides without getting caught...
They're for somebody who wants to be stealthy... and get the job done quicker...
I primarily am a trespass tower (in connecticut). CT law works like this- If the vehicle is on the hook and they run out, they need to pay for the drop. If im kicking off gojacks and they run out, the vehicle isnt in my possesssion and they can hop in the car and drive away with no recourse I understand the value of gojacks in very rare cases but I drag 99% of the time (with skates of course) My question is- why did he break into it when there is no shiftlock and no reason to secure the wheel?
Slade I broke into it to put on the parking brake. If you apply the parking brake the car wont roll off the lift. Another way is just to strap the car down, but i'm faster opening the car. And for those who will say it before I bring it up, i didn't steal anything while i was in there, and i locked the car before i got it to the yard.
i could of used 1 of our rollbacks and got that car out faster than your wrecker. and that aint a repo. thats a impound. if it were a repo you wouldnt have the security cart there
You couldn't have gotten a rollback to the 8th floor of that garage to tow that car. However i don't doubt you are quick with it, i know plenty of guys that work well with them.
Yeah, you can see his Go-Jaks mounted on the bed of his truck. But hell yeah, if someone TOWED my car like that, I'd be raising some major hell. Repoing, yeah... I could understand.
FWD vehicle. Go-jacks are no good for distance, and from a time stand point dragging it out and getting re-hooked to the front is a lot more feasible. It's very common for illegally parked cars to be pulled out to load.
Distance is not required there! Go-Jaks take a minute to put on and roll the car out. It comes down to being just plain lazy. I have seen many cars messed up do that! Bottom line, REPECT THE PROPERTY THAT YOU ARE REMOVING!
Why use Go jacks if you don't need em? The quicker i tow the car, the quicker i get paid. Bottom line. Besides, the signs clearly state that the car will be towed at owners risk and expense, if it really did do damage i wouldn't do it. And as for you kicking my ass? If you wanna go to jail, give it a try, and you'll have layover in the E.R. on the way.
The only damage that's cause is just a little wear and tear on the tires in which are being drug. Now, when throwing J-Hooks on suspension parts on vehicles, you have to be very careful because some of those swing arms can easily be bent.
Nice one but i would of just straped the wheels but Iam just faster with the straps Lol

isn't that bad for the cars transmission to be dragging that?
jtreign9097 4 years ago
No, it's actually not bad at all.
