I am very sad that such a wonderful and meaningful show to so many people is going to leave knowing that the "Rent remixed" is or was out there. I was really hoping Rent would leave June 1 with a BANG! But I really think this (jazzy, upbeat, and messed up) Rent is bringing the whole show (broadway, West End & Tour) down. :(

Not quite pointless. New arrangements and staging were, allegedly, the only way permission would be granted for London to have RENT again, after it's disappointing performances as the original production.
