  • Notice how alll the best songs come from the Sad Wings of Destiny album? Priest peaked with that album and, possibly, the next. After that it was all down hill...

  • What a setta lungs. Quality.

  • Can you picture this song influencing Danny Elfman in writing the Nightmare Before Xmas Soundtrack?

  • Best version of this song, yup.

  • Primo metal at it's very finest.

    Barry

  • im a nasty surprise

  • Ive bought this record on vinyl, cassette,cd mp3. Now im so old that i have to get into my car to crank this shit up.And i do it alot

  • this is better than the original version

  • this album is insane like live songs usually dont usually sound better than the masters but damn

  • THE greatest live metal album ever .Anyone who wants an introduction to heavy metal ...? Play them this .This is the standard

  • Wooooooo... The Ripper on speed! I prefer the versions where they stay closer to the tempo as it's on the album. There are slow songs, there are mid-tempo songs, and there are fast songs; each can have their own merits. But if you try to play something that was written as a slow song in a fast tempo, or the other way around, you'll just sound silly, as this performance demonstrates.

  • One of my favorite Priest songs.

  • those two dislikes are retarded. dislike trolls...

  • 02:31 yhea!!!!!!!

  • 2 people turned there back on attack...

  • I think this song is about butt sex...

  • @frostedhead LOL

  • Masters of Metal....

    UnfuckinHolyAwesomeness.......

    Shooooo-ahh-aah-aawwk!!

  • or if you like Jack the knife, fuckin classsic JP

  • ...this is what you can call..."CLASSIC"!!!!

  • such great shit man

  • Fukinawesome!!

Nobody, I mean nobody can really come close to R.H.... he sounds like a Demon!

The only voice that I think is even close is Ian Gillan, in the BlackSabbath BornAgain album, the song, Trashed. In particular.

    The Priest. TrueMetalGods!

  • Back when Halford could still sing.

  • This is by far the best version of this song. So fast...!

  • woah, super fast version

  • i love the recording on this record..everythings really separated and clear sounding.

  • This song is a legend..............

  • I think this live album hosts some of Halford's best vocals.

  • @raistlinmajere100 They may be good, but they were touched up in the studio. So I'm sure all of the parts that he originally sucked on have been fixed.

  • @GameJourney Did you ever see them live in the 70's? I did...no touch-ups, Sweetie, Rob's the Real Thing. They didn't HAVE "touch-ups" in the 70's, K?

  • @raistlinmajere100 i agree 1000%

  • Les Binks god of drummers!!!

  • I laugh when I'm creeping....love it!

  • the best!!!!!!!!

  • fuck the fag,you sad prick, keep your comments to yourself

  • fuck the fag

  • ah leave him alone

  • One of the best metal riffs at 01:01

  • NEW PRIEST VINYL COMING!!! They are pressing the catalog from 'sin after sin' on... plus all the extra tracks from the remasters too!!! First 1,000 [numbered] pressings of each release are COLORED VINYL TOO!

THAT'S RIGHT! You don't even have to play the fucking thing, just hang it on your wall!!!

[It says 'BAD MOTHER-FUCKER all OVER it!!!]

First one in Feb., 'Sin after sin' of course!!!

(go to the Priest website of course!)

  • Or if you like, Jack the knife?

    Classic!

  • "You're in for a suprise,you're in for a SHOOOOOOOCK!

  • @PumpkinPuffer A AAAHAHAHHHH

  • Who ELSE can sing that part................The RIPAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! Holy Crap!!! I think that kinda stuff has Got to hurt.

  • Not if you practice every day

  • @24jacks

    king diamond...

  • The King never mixes falsetto.

He never slides up so to speak.

Rob has more power I think.

  • @PennyDreadful1

I thought the whole king technique was based on falsetto... is true he never slides... but he does use it no??

  • Well yeah.

I think King is great but im not as impressed by his vocals as say Matt Barlow.

check out Travel in Stygian live to see someone singing around his break with agility(this sort of singing is also called head voice by some).

  • Ahh yeah forgot to say Matt Barlow is in Iced Earth.

Im not trying to tell you hes better than King but he is pretty damn impressive.

The last 2:5 minutes of A Question of Heaven is even better.

  • @PennyDreadful1

good music still dont like the vocals that much... im not into that kind of stuff...

  • Wow, this really stands out in their catalogue...I don't like much of Priests work, since they were far too poppy and mainstream for me, but this album seems to be a style they returned to later with albums like Painkiller and such.

  • then you must not know much about them, all their records have amazing material on them and to say they don't is metal blasphemy seeing as they are called the metal gods for a reason. the voice the guitar always great steady bass and amazing drum work

  • This version is awesome, love the orignal version too JP ROCKS!

  • bass here is great, before the all metal monochromatic 80's "bass lines"

  • Your fail, that scream is amazing.

You couldn't do a better job without balls.

  • Who would ever find pleasure out of sucking a whale and having sex with a horse?

I think you have a mental problem; or just trying to look and act tough.

To prove your "Courage" whatever, go fight a war, nothing more brave than a solider who risks his Life for his country; protecting his Brothers, having more care for their Life than his own.

  • This is true.

  • the original scream at that pount was an overdub but it stood out so he did it here but had to go into it fast enough to workit in but he nailed it

  • nocturnal and nameless

except for The Ripper, or if you like

    Jack the Knife!

  • This is the best version of The Ripper. This song is incredible. Thank you Judas Priest! Never turn your back on the ripper!

  • one of the best live recordings i have ever heard unbelievable everything is clearly audible

  • Those are always the best. :)

  • For me Unleased in the east still been the best rock and roll album recorder alive, even in ours days.

Judas Priest for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

  • metal gods not rock n roll gods this is 100% metal

  • OMG - I love this song! Saw them perform not so long ago at the OzzFest-it was the best concert I had been to in a while. Too old now for the start up bands but came in just in time to see them (started with Electric Eye) and then Ozzy. I think the poor little boy next to me couldn't believe that an old lady would know all the lyrics for both bands. :-)

  • you go grandma!

  • Best live version of The Ripper

Great album Unleashed In The East one of the best live albums ever

Thanks for uploading this version of the ripper
