if you have a fully bricked psp and cant get to the recovery menu just plugin your psp charger then take out the battery and plugin the charger then turn on your psp without the battery after the psp is turned on put back in the battery a plug out the charger and it works

i have download the .zip file and extract it to the game folder but if i load run program at psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp the only thing that happend is that the green light is on for 5 sec and than the psp is going out

ALSO... if your worried about the battery (like i was), it has a manual override! It says battery 50%+, but you dont need it (hold L+R triggers when it says at bottom)..

BTW, if u get to see HellCat's recovery menu thing (0:55) try exitting 1st time around xD I nearly ripped my hair out lol!

Anyways gdluck any! I can confirm this works wonders! You dont need to be able to get to your XMB! You DO need to get to the recovery menu (holding R at startup)

Guys it works like a charm, but read description, if u want it to install a diff fw than 5.00 M33-4, rename that firmware to 500.PBP and put it in the Recovery fodler on ur mem stick!

OMG man thanks soo much! I was getting the BSOD continously (but all buttons worked, i could power it off)! I thought i was in a hole cause months ago i overwrote my origonal thee files, and my other HDD (with backups) died on me. Then i tried to get my theme back to origonal sony one (i had 360 theme lol), cause i was told it had to be origonal b4 updating firmware. Thats how i got BSOD (resetting system settings).

@bertyboy30 download the 150 pbp and rename it eboot.pbp and place on the root of the memory stick, then download the gen d upgrader from pspslimhacks and run it, click on flash install any sony ofw DONE

If you can't access the recovery menu by pressing Power + R, you have a Fully bricked PSP. The only way to fix it is a Pandoras battery.

I don't know.... If you hold the R button while you turn it on...... If there's a Recovery Menu you can unbrick it with this one else you have to unbrick it with Pandora...
