  • Wow! Love the old version a lot. They should just release a huge box set of all their material, past present future, variations and versions. I could get lost in the brilliant music.

  • battery kinzie?????wtf does that mean??/ great song though.

  • @mugwamp4 It's an old concrete battery (kind of like a bunker) overlooking the Puget Sound in Washington

  • @cpatterson365 thanks ,,still dont know what it has to do with the song ,but its a great song as are all the songs on that album.

  • @osuballa6 HAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHA

    >.> me too

  • My favourite song from the album :)

  • Personally, I think they ruined this song on the upcoming record. I guess I'm just used to hearing it like this.

  • @sirmelancholia haha i went really mad when i heard this song on the record... the band really fuckit!

  • This solo 12 string acoustic version is 1000 times better.

  • One of my favorite songs on the album, yet I love this version a ton more.

  • The album version is good, but I prefer this one.

On the album, I would have prefered only the guitar, Robin's voice and awesome harmonies. As Robin said : "All in the performance"!

  • Better than the radio station version.

    I LOVE FLEET FOXES.

  • Correct. On the album, the song is called Battery Kinzie

  • what music should be, i'd almost forgotten...inspired and absent of electronic bullsh%% fuzed with drum machines. you call it hippy, but that's because the playing field is utter shite. it is easy to aclimate oneself to anything, then suddenly songs like this emerge and it's easy to see things more clearly, ha ha ha. NICE

  • the track is called "Battery Kinzie"

  • This is what music is, it's beautiful.

  • a 12 string is just what that band needs, for sure

  • i love how all of his videos never have ONE dislike, the dude was truly blessed with an amazing voice, and obviously talent.

  • @ sorrowfulmystery: I know who the fuck gives BP any cred? During the whole spill disaster a BP station poped up in my home town with new signs and all that...couldnt believe they had the money and balls to try and pull that off. They dont get much business and they store owners probly underestimated the reaction of the American public when they feel theyve been fucked by deep pockets. God bless the free market, i can always find a SUNOCO.

  • Here's some irony--when I played this, the BP channel was the promoted video.

  • I know he writes the songs, but I hope FF doesn't become a Robin Pecknold solo act, you know, just him and an acoustic guitar. I also hope they don't become too hippie and folky.

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN they are hippie and folky...

  • @guitarman030 I wouldn't really call them hippie

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN Eh, I like him solo better almost haha.

  • Bloody lovely, can't wait for the new album

  • When I listened to this song at first, I thought their 2nd album are promised to be great !

  • spine tinglingly good.

  • this is called Battery Kinzie

  • @EscapingStasis watch the other video

    watch?v=_LZNqtcVfWI&feature=related

Try reading his lips and tell me what you think.

  • this song reminds me of some movie but I can't quite remember. He also looks like a lumberjack

  • this song reminds me of some movie but I can't quite remember

  • The first few lyrics sound like:

    I woke up one morning

    All my fingers raw

I woke up a dying man, without a chance

    I came to your window

    Through the stormin rain

At the door a stranger stood

The stranger’s voice said love be good

I turned to walk the frozen ground alone

    All the way home

  • @Cilogy I woke up one morning- all I think is "Darling". I woke up a dying man, in love with you. I came to your window through the storm and wind-y; at the door a stranger stood, the stranger's voice said nothing good, I turned to walk the frozen ground- alone!- all the way home.

If my eyes are fading, Lorelai, in the evening- branching like a seed in soot around the grave (rain?)- something something... and you are lock and key, to read the winds you sent to me, and waste the day so idly... :)

  • @EscapingStasis Pretty sure it's:

    "I came to your window,

    Threw a stone and waited."

  • I still cant understand how Robin can sing so well and play these crazy riffs on the guitar...

  • @mike94pietrobon Practice.

  • @mike94pietrobon practice, practice and practice. Unless your some musical genius.

  • 12 string! thas gon sound amazing on the new record

  • for me is the best new song of them ... much better than bedoiun dress and blue spotted tail

  • @leviatan130 i like silver city equally if not more, have u heard it?

  • @leviatan130 its hard to split they're all so good i do love blue spotted tail and bedoiun dress, though.

  • this song is so god-damned heavenly

  • Comment removed
