  • I love that doggie! To hell with the Wasp!

    Very nice vid.

    RedBird64

    Severna Park, MD USA

  • Ditch the husband, he's a douche.

  • If you think classic scooters are only for buzzing and covering a few miles, you are tricked! With my vespa I've covered hoyndrends of miles non-stop, dozens of travels!

This summer i'll travel from Greece to Austria with the vespa!

These machines are something, so the advise of one of the guys here, about you taking lessons, is great! Vespas are not easy to be ridden, and have bad brakes and suspension! But... I love them!

  • I have a yellow 2008 lx50. I used to have a Corgi as well. Great pet.

  • Very nice video.I have an LX 150 and would not trade it for the world.

  • My dear: I am the very happy owner of a 250GTV which I named "Ms Bellucci" (another beautiful Italian with hips) There is no substitute for a Vespa.. it is a beautiful piece of industrial art and runs like a top. It carries with it all the ambiance of Italy, accept no substitutes. Riding Ms Bellucci turns every mundane task into a stylish adventure, everyone smiles when they see a Vespa. In short: Run, do not walk, to your Vespa dealer and own your dream.

  • You deserve your Vespa on merit alone!!!!

    What a brilliant vid. I'm a biker, but now I want a Vespa too ; )

Yes I am and YES, I do!

get one - get one - GET ONE!!

Hubby can go in the chair, with Scooter!

Thanks for brightening a rainy day in the UK!

    Paul

  • I say yes. but then I am not your husband. Why do you have to ask your husband can't you think for yourself ... or is he paying for it? My wife does what she thinks is right for her. She tells me afterwards so do I.

  • i likes them all

  • this video is 3 years old. I hope you got a vespa. Life is to short to not get what you want. If you didnt well then you just went 3 years without.

  • com to me without Husband, and I will give it to You! :))))

  • what horses? ;)

  • so? did you get your Vespa? SHow a picture of it!!!

  • get it but learn to ride safely or dont even try

  • get it but learn to ride safely or dont even try

  • Buy a newer, used PX150 or an older P200 and you'll be onto a good start. The Indian LML vespa clones are ok (sold as the Stella in the USA) but you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a real Italian one. Just make sure it was originally imported into the USA and whatever you do stay well away from any Vietnam "restorations".

You will need a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license to ride anything over 50cc. Take a motorcycle saftey course and save yourself some hard knocks.

  • Scooters are very addictive. I started with a Honda Spree in 1984 and never looked back. No matter which you get you'll be hooked.

  • Vespa's the only way to go! Don't listen to the wanker bellow me. If you buy a cheap, Chinese scooter, ( tupperware ) you will regret it. But I think you already know that. I think you are true lover of the Vespa experience, so I say just go for it ! You'll be happy you did ! Enjoy & be safe !

  • Well, I don't have a Vespa but I do have a Genuine Buddy 150 Italia.............who just happens to be named Sophia!

  • Excellent vid.

I was without a scooter for a few years, and it felt like i had lost my legs.

Once you get bitten by the Vespa bug,it stays for life.

Tell your hubby, you are your own person, not an extention of him.

If you want one,and can afford one, THEN GO BUY ONE.

If he leaves never mind, you meet some nice people on scooter rallies anyway.

  • Love the video, hope you got your Vespa girl... everyone should have one... Ride on and keep the faith...

  • Girl, I applaud you! You got taste!

  • Threaten him with DIVORCE. Get a scooter! My Daughter is getting one too!

  • I think the old tactic of..."I'll drive every time we go the pub if we can have a vespa with a side car" should do the trick.

  • horses, where?

  • i'd tell him to piss off and go suck some dick cuz he aint getting none if i cant get my vespa!!!

  • One Passion Vespa

  • Just buy one without letting your husband know.

Or you could just tell him he's not your father, so you can do what you want ;-)

  • Why does he say no?

Go get yourself a scooter. And no I didn't even see the horses.

  • Find another bloke? just kidding!

    I'd say persistance persistance persistance!

  • I loved your video! I can sympathize! I want a Buddy Italia and my husband hasn't said NO but he hasn't said yes either! He can't understand why I wouldn't want a real motorcycle. I've had a real motorcycle. I want simple and cute.

Speaking of cute, love your doggie!

  • i hope that you can finally have a Vespa...

  • vespa is not a scooter.... is a lifestyle.... and u from america not from Italy... so buy a cadillac!!!!

  • get a lambretta , it goes up in value , so if you get fed up with it you make a profit ,,never buy chinese cheap crap , no style , , dont buy a bike , people that ride them smell lol ,, wotever ride safe , from the uk england

  • Trouble is with a lambretta you'll end up spending a fortune to keep it on the road because they break down every 50 miles lol. Vespa are far more reliable and better looking..sound better too!! ;-)

  • i have two lambretts and a vespa , i love them all , but if someone broke in to my garage , i hope they would take the vespa and not the lambretts lol ,,, nuff said

  • Well if they've got any sense theyll steal the lambretta on a trailer 'cos they wont get very far !! ;-)

  • check my video response , to see what its all about , i did not realise i was talking to someone so young

  • Just kiddin with ya .....kinda lol! Thanks for the compliment on my age..being a scooterist from th eearly 80's uk revival thats very nice of you! Love both lammy's and vespa, but not so keen on any twist and go..not really scoots to me! Liked your rally vid btw some real nice machines there..

  • I had a 1968 Vespa 150cc and I sold it because I was sick of pushing it! I spend thousands on it and it was still crapping out. It had been done up in Vietnam, Viet-style (wires in drinking straws and other such nice suprises). I got fit pushing that thing.

Now I got a Honda Joker 90cc. Goes great, looks great. Just a shame about the plastic. And I know... It ain't a Vespa.

  • Yeah Rick,no wonder you were pushing that hunk of crap, you were the idiot that bought a Vietnam Vespa.

  • no need to be rude about it.

  • First have you ever ridden a 2 wheeled vehicle before, if not take the MSF class in your state. Next I might suggest you get a cheap Chinese scooter first, to see if you really use the thing, many get bought and then sit in the garage unused. You can pick up a China scoot for as little as $800 new. Yeah its not a Vespa, but it will get you into the scooter lifestyle... or you will find that it too sits in the garage. You may find you want more power/speed etc and move into motorcycles anyway

  • Great advice. One of my friends got a scooter from China and loves it. Though I think he is trying it out and will be getting a Vespa in a year or so. . .

  • @cougargrad

Stay AWAY from chinese scooters. I live in Florida and used a chinese made scooter for one month. I held my breath each time I tried to start the damn thing. Sometimes swearing at it in B.S. chinese helped. Worst piece of junk I ever drove.

  • @kens97sto171 ....CHINESE!!!!! OH, COME ON MAN !!! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?

  • @locolizard38

I am thinking I gave a lot more in the bank after my purchase than you do. I have had decent experiences with mine. Lots of good miles, and no serious issues. And I payed very little money. Sounds like a good deal to me.. unlike spending $4K+ on a high end scoot, that does nothing that mine doesnt do... If your too worried about a Chinese brand then get a Genuine Buddy 125/150 they are about in the middle price wise, and made in Taiwan.

  • @kens97sto171 Are you on drugs?

  • @oystersfearme

Yep.. the drug of having a lot of money left after buying my scoot... It's funny cause we had a nice ride today, and it was ME on my cheap chinese scoot that had to get a Vespa running. Had to swap my battery into his scoot, He is on his 4th battery due to some electrical problem the dealer cant find.

  • @kens97sto171 DO NOT GET ANY SCOOTER FROM CHINA!!!! The poor build quality, shoddy materials, fake "ABS" system that simply cuts brake power instead of actually working as ABS and the propencity for exhausts, handlebars and even WHEELS to fall off while driving are a death sentence. Anyone who says China scooters are good are trying to sell you one. STAY AWAY! Far better scooters for cheap like Genuine Buddy 50's, use Honda Metropolitans or Yamaha Vinos. And, any reputable shop won't TOUCH them

  • I have 2 my 2006 Dual Sport and Wildfire 150 scoot. No major problems with either, paid $900 for the Motorcycle, and $500 for the scoot new in a crate. There ARE good machines from China. It depends on the plant it was made in and the quality control. A scoot will look exactly the same but one will be shit the other decent. Maybe I have just been lucky but both were purchased from a wholesaler I trust BTW the Genuine brand IS really good. Why would I need a shop to fix a scooter ?

  • Get the black one with the side car and all the chrome, that one is the best. RH DSD

  • get a bike

  • you only live once, you dont want to be on your death bed and say i wish i would have.there are no do overs in life.live and be happy, cheers

  • my dad had one that he got from hes brother when he was young .. it looks like shit but its a good motor inside it hehe now i have it :P im thinking of building a 500cc motor in it hehe :P

  • It is painfull wanting a scooter.BUT once you get one,you end up with a garage full.

Cant fault anybody for buying one.classic styling, good economy, and if serviced would last a lifetime.

    Ride safe my friends from

    FORKBENDER S.C SHEFIELD.

  • GREAT VID. iF YOU WANT A VESPA i CAN GET YOU A GOOD DEAL. i SELL THEM FOR A LIVING. SORRY FOR YELLING. Top Gear Motorsports Athens georgia. ASk for ken.

  • Have you seen the new GTV250 with the sidecar? Luvly. :)

  • Please tell me you got your scooter!!

Great video... hell, makes me want to buy more of them.

  • what is the song dear, love the music!

  • "Vespa"

    by P-1

  • Very cute video. Did you get a scooter beside the doggy version yet?

  • i think its fuckn' awesome!

  • Gas prices are much higher than when you posted this video. From what I have seen if you have not purchased one you will have to wait.Sales are up %146 since last year for Vespa USA.Hope you got one by now..if not stop asking that dude and just do it.Ride safe.

  • why dont you satisfy your need with a quality chinese knock off? I bought a tahiti 150. it looks just like a retro vespa, but its all brand new and a lot less expensive. but if you really want the brand names, you should talk to your local scooter club. Im sure they would dig your enthusiasm and help you get one

  • I say yes too. I'd love to have an Italian scooter but for now I make do with my honda reflex. Get one soon before the prices go absolutely insane now that demand has skyrocketed with 4 dollar gas.

  • Ahh Seattle just north of me about 3 hours.. lol. Seattle would be a good town to buzz around in a scooter.. Driving my van up there was a nightmare. So I just parked it at the motel and walked everywhere. Some nice marine museums and such up there. your husband is fond of you, cant fault him for that. However I would say he should get scooter educated. I should talk I "make" my wife drive a full size(not mini)Van. Of course she wont approve of me getting another motorcycle either. lol

  • He told me yesterday I could get a scooter if he could get a Ducati. I told him we could save a lot of money and get two scooter. Then I would buy a Ducati sticker and put it on his scooter. I don't think he liked my plan. . .

  • O.o ohhh Ducati is a nice machine.. goes fast too.. :) Thats funny though.lol I cant quit laughing over that.. sounds like something I would hear from my wife.. ;)

  • Well If I were your husband I would say yes but then I would never a women who thought she had to ask permission to do something like

a scooter in the first place, I'm attracted to independent women that if they want to sky dive they go they don't ask permission they just go. they post corny questions on u-tube but then why am I reading this good day.

  • iv got 3 vespas all referbished ... one with a side car and darling u can ride with me any day eheheh

  • please, share this music.I'd lost Calmness since I heard this misic. THIS IS MY HYMN

  • Adorable video!!

  • beutiful scooters and dog! i like the black and red one in the poster.

  • Vespa are thumbs up anytime.

  • just bought my 2nd Vespa. It's a 63 with a sidecar...jealous?

  • YES!!!!

  • sexy, . . . *cough cough* the scooters, the scooters ; ) i want my stella NOOOW :'( you just enhanced my want

  • P.S. I also did not see the horses first time around.

  • I say get one. Why work for 1/3 of your life if you don't get what you want? I bought my first scoot 3 years ago. A Vespa P series ( it's what the stellas were modeled after ) His nickname is Grampa. It's a great bike, and you should talk to your husband about getting one. Even if you get a vespa, and then decide not to ( not sure how. )The resale value is amazing. I worked for a vespa shop for 2 years until they sold.

  • Cougargrad, in the politest of senses, sod your husband and go for it... Best decision you'll ever make. Fast, easy, cheap, quick, great for avoiding traffic, and the folks at the clubs are great, too. Don't lets forget the style aspect as well... Besides, put the other half on yours and I'm pretty sure he'll forget all his worries and go get himself one!

By the way, my '73 50 Special is called Gino.

  • I can't wait to share this comment with him!

And the other comments about not seeing the horses---my husband missed them too.

    One day I will ride a scooter. . .

  • Well, just let us know when you get one... Can't wait to see it!

  • Horses?...

    Other observations (or lackings thereof):

    --That was a swell video.

--Zündapp Bellas are superb. Go ahead and get your Vespa...THEN get a Bella. I know what you'll be riding more...

  • so funny... i didn't see the horses... XD

  • amazing video,nice music.

  • scooters are great. from china future classics

  • i*see - a sunny day scooter ride in your near*future . . .

also perhaps renting a doubles kayak on Lake Union . . .

    enjoy*

  • Charming video, too. The pics, comments, and music make for an entertaining composition!

  • Did you get your Vespa yet? I recently bought a Scarabeo. It took me two years after the motorcycle safety course to go out and just do it. It is great fun. We went and rented 50cc scooters and blasted around Seattle, then went straight to the Aprilia dealer since the ride was so fun.

  • No, not yet. I never thought of renting scooters and zipping around Seattle. I should do that on one of our many sunny days!

  • Cute little corgi. We had two before. Get the sidecar, then you can take Scooter with you and leave the hubby at home.

  • I should do that. We now have another corgi, his name is Teddy. I could take both of them and the hubby could stay home! OR I could take him----I guess. Still---I need a VESPA!

  • Can be very dangerous but also very fun. Got to give it a try.

  • Good sense in scooters, I've had both and my P2 disk is the best I've had yet. Lammies just fall to bits if you can get them running at all ;-)

  • i own 4 scoots

  • WOW!!!!!

  • Go for it..! Best thing I ever did... turns a few heads too!

All part of the fun ;-)

  • don't ever let a man tell you no - You go girl and get your vespa.

  • If you evva getta Vespa and move to Italy, we'll give you free menbership in our club. What's more, you could join our girls and....race! Watch " Ragazze in Vespa - Girls on Vespas"!

    Ciao!

  • awesome video! i want one also.....

  • Bet'a get a Vespa!

The flame Vespa at 1.32 is a friend's. It got stolen this summer, but have been recovered.

If you want a Vespa, find your nearest club, and get some help finding one.

Don't buy one of those Asian once of Ebay, unless you think burning money is fun.

    Go Vespa :-)

  • Go get yer vespa girl! Don't let anyone tell you not to, follow your dreams and dam anyone who stamps on them! I'm from south east England, currently restoring a Lambretta GP150. There's nothing like scooting through the country lanes on a sunny day. I have friends in Boston MA, I visited them last year, I rode their cute litte vespa ET2 from Lexington to Concord MA, what a blast! Go for it, you won't regret it.

  • I have a few scooters, 63 Allstate 125 , 67 Allstate 150 (Vespa Sprint) with a 50's Allstate Cruisaire Companion sidecar, and an 83 Baja Chetek (an Vespa made in India)The Sidecar is a blast, and people love it. Even Harley snobs give me a thumbs up when I drive it around. It's difficult to drive, in regards to making right hand turns when there is no passenger. An adult can easily sit in the sidecar, though it is a strange sight to see. Kids love it.

  • I had a 1956 Bella R201, it was beautiful, burgandy paint, electric start, 12" wheels. You should be different, You should get a Bella or a Heinkel or a Harley Topper and subscribe to Scoot! Quarterly - good reading and great pictures.

  • I know someone who bought a Bella off of ebay. They are fixing it up and they love it. I think the are beautiful too---especially if it was burganday! I will check into Scoot! Quarterly---thanks.

  • Best video ive seen on Youtube so creative Youre hubby should be so proud of you , he should let you get a scooter with sidecar for scooter and you and him , and do a updated version

  • ha ha!!! i want a stella ,but my girlfriend says "NOT WITHOUT MY RING FIRST!!!! - OH CRAP ! I NEED 8 G'S FOR A RING REEEAALLL QUICK. love the video , looovvve the song ,its hot ,who sings it ???

  • P-1 sings "Vespa"---their video is on YouTube

  • Oh dear!! I have a friend that is quite adamant about that, too! I liked the black one with the sidecar! Have you looked at Baja Cheetaks? I have oodles of pics of scoots ... email me, and we can coordinate my sending them all!

  • That's great! Have fun!!!

  • Did you get your scooter yet? If not, go get it already!!

  • No. . . I still don't have one. Though I am looking!!!

  • aw! My wife and I just picked ours up (May - 2 kymco's), both the bigger 250's so we can take the big road if we feel like it. We're having a blast on them! Good luck! :-)

  • This video is fun, Vespas are fun, Lambrettas are fun too, scooters are fun full stop, the scootering way of life is fun, I hope you get that Vespa and really enjoy yourself having fun!

  • Brilliant vid. I wanted a lambreta...so i got one. I then wanted a Vespa...so i got one.

  • I am sooooo jealous!

  • If i was your husband i would say"yes of coarse you can have a Vespa"! I'd want you looking cool and that's the solution. Nothing cooler than a scooter. Threaten him with divorce and that you'll be taking that cute little dog with you. HAHAHAHA only joking!!

  • Cool video and music. I have three vespas and a lambretta. They are so cool. My wife used to ride my vespa even when she was expecting our first son! They are economical, reliable, and you can park them so easy. Some even come with a glove box to put tools, even shopping in. You can even buy carrying racks to carry more shopping even tents! They even carry spare wheels. Maybe your husband probably won't let you get a vespa because you might get too much attention......?

  • You might be right!

  • Vespas are a lot of fun, but if you buy a vintage one, just be sure that you love spending your spare time tinkering on it in the garage :) I've owned several, new and vintage and they both have their advantages/disadvantes...my advice, Look around and find a restored classic and enjoy on nice sunny days...and if your husband complains about it being unsafe just tell that you can't live forever anyhow, and getting old sucks anyhow :) enjoy

  • Getting old does suck. A Vespa would help though! Thanks for the comment----thanks to all of you. I am still working on my husband who loves me dearly.

  • Ha! Excellent. I too have the bug but I want a new GTS in black. Yum. Well put together vid. Have you shown it to him indoors? Something tells me if he sees it he'll understand that if he wants a quiet life he may want to reconsider his position ;-)

  • One live, live it well !! Very nice Video. All the best and my opinion is... buy the one with the side car and run away with scooter. Good luck

  • I´m driving a vespa...and ican´t describe the feeling...in summer its a awesome feeling, if you cruise a long a river or sth. like that...

hope you get the feeling soon, too...c u on the cruz---

  • good vid, well put together!!,have you got one yet????,you definatley have the PASSION!!!

  • Not yet, though I am looking!

  • Sweetheart, If he wont let you have one kick him to the kerb and get your self a scooter boy and ride to your hearts content

  • Joshua here from Vespa Scottsdale.

You need to tell your husband whos boss :)

    hmmm

Tell him no vespa for you means no sports car for him ;)

  • I usually get my way. He's just very worried that I might get hurt. Of course I could get hurt just crossing the road.

Maybe I will just have to put my foot down!!

  • I've crashed 3 times on my Kawasaki Ninja once wile I was riding through the mountains and lost traction because of dirt in the road witch was the worst i landed on my helmet and flipped around a little bit but because I was warring my helmet and had my jacket on and some decent pants shoes any my gloves I walked away with some light scratches.

If you're warring the proper gear and you crash its not as bad as people think it is.

So just remember to ware you gear when you ride :)

  • tell hubby that i was in the exact same situation with my wife when she wanted a vespa,my biggest worry was the wanker car drivers, not my wifes abillity to ride,my wife ended up getting a PX200E great little bike,i rode it alot too,and i did have a honda hornet,it was fun to ride the Vespa, she did sell it after a couple of years i do miss it,she went on to a Kawasaki ER500,then she lost the passion and she just drives a car now,SAD HEY?/ good luck,:o)

  • That's his concern also. He trusts me driving anything---I am a very good driver. It's the stupid drivers that worry my husband.

  • Agh, Caged, eh? Darn AC and Protection From Rain tempting all of us! ;-;!

  • Tell your husband that you'll be alot hotter once you get that scooter. My advice, get a Lambretta!!

  • That might just be the trick!!!

  • What a great Video! OK, you MUST get your Vespa! Start a website, I'll donate a few paypal dolarines to the cause!

Check out my scoots on flickr, search for digitaldion... You'll see my two orange bombers!

  • Begging for money for a Vespa? A good cause indeed!!!

I saw your "Orange "Bomber"----she is beautiful! I'm not sure you should have sold the other Vespa to get a BMW. You probably should have opened a paypal account---I would have donated to your "Help me keep my Vespa" cause!!

Thanks for the link, I really enjoyed your pictures!

  • mine is called "Troya"

  • love the video. i do love your scooter he looks cool in his shades. why dont you get the scooter and say it's for your husband ? i did that for my boyfriend, he rides a vespa 200 pe now ! go on get one you know you want one :)

  • the song in the bacground? What is it pls?

  • Vespa by P-1

  • I love it...even the dog looks like my dog!

  • Go have fun! I drive mine in Chicago in the winter... cold enough to make you cry! Tell your husband you wanted to save some money on gas. weak I know. Worth a try!

  • I like it, I'm 35, had my first vespa at 18, got that feeing in my bones last year so i bought a 1983 px125, sprayed in egg blue, got the old style back light, and i love nothing more then driving around Dublin city on a sunny day.don't deprive urself!

  • Go buy one for your self and stop listening to the old boring fart!

He's just afraid you might have some fun with out him.

You go girl. Go now and buy the ultimate Vespa - you only live once, and I'm guessing you deserve the best!

  • Great video....go get one-- you wont regret it!!!

  • I have a restored 150 Super which broke last weekend, your video makes me miss riding my Vespa. I hope I can find the part. It is sort of addictive.

  • Cool video.

  • What horses?

The dog with the goggle option---great!

I loved this video. The old ads were perfect. I think he should let you have one.

As far as the one negative comment:

You seem to be the one who is pissy. You spend 45 seconds on a video and then trash it. Mean.

Short attention span and easily bored are symptoms. . . .

  • this was way too long.. hey, i got an idea, lets find a bunch of scooter pics and throw some dumb cheesy lines between them. not to mention the music is horrible. go ahead and drive your dumb vespa, i'll prolly accidentally run over you on the road with my truck. those things are death machines. enjoy.

  • You knew it was 4:23 long before you clicked on it. Or at least you should have seen the length of the video. I am wondering why someone who does not like Vespas (death machines) would waste their time (4:23) watching a video about Vespas. Compared to some of the Worst Videos Ever---mine is far from cheesy!

  • i didn't watch the whole thing. i commented at 45 seconds in. and i was looking at a few VESPA vids to find a certain one that my dad had years ago. don't get all pissy cuz someone doesn't like your creation and voice it. you voiced your opinion about vespas in a video, i voiced mine about your video. go deal with your insecureties. and yes... it is cheesy.

  • 45 seconds is all you watched? You spent more time trashing this video. Do you even know what Dancingshoes71 is trying to tell you? Dancingshoes71 did forget one thing---you are also just plain MEAN. And you came back to do it again! Get a life!

    Great video. What horses?

  • Puggs your truck is a cover for you tiny genitals, I driven my scooters since I was a brat and am not dead yet. Plus I look cooler than a Polar bear in an italian suit.

Lambretta- because 10 inches is enough for anyone.

  • You are just one of those people that has to be nasty and mean to feel superior and good about yourself. Thats just pathetic pugggs

  • great vid thanks

  • Will someone please send the maestro a scooter already? I would...but am taking a year off income tax, my way of not funding the war. Best to you, another one well done!

  • Tell your husband that you'll let him drive it on Sundays. The rest of the week he can ride in the side car with the dog!!!

  • If he knew what was good for him he'd go ahead and buy it!!

  • I like the way you think!!!

  • Can u part exchange ur husband for a Vespa. What horse.?

  • Another idea (husband for Vespa) to think about. . .

    About the horses---

There really are horses! However, if one only has eyes for long (really long) legs, then one will often miss the horses in the background of life! (My husband missed the horses too!)

  • Go For It, but if you get one you have to bring it to Wyoming so your 9 year old cousin can try it out.

  • Better yet---I'll get a scooter and you guys can come out here for a longer vist! On the way you can show my Crimson loving cousin Washington State University! You know she would love it!

  • You need a new husband

  • Hmmmm. Let me think about that one!

  • JUST DO IT.

  • I should---shouldn't I!!!

  • I love the picture of Scooter in the Scooter- very cute!

  • Mr. Cam did that on the computer.
