i have a question to anyone that can answer it. so i just now wan't to be a 'fire tank' FOR PVP because i find the self heals much better than being a squishy dps. However I'm stuck on wether or not i should get the avatar dps gear or tank gear. The only difference between the two is the tank has more negatives than the dps gear. It loses prec. power & might. However the bonus it comes with is the added dominance. So my real question is, does the tank gears DOMINANCE bonus really matter for PVP?

@mug3nfl0w More dominance gives fire tank more healing power. If you are worried about prec dont be. You can later add Prec mod 3 and increase your prec. I plan to get get all dps gear with crit attack chance bonus rest tank gear. Enchant them all with Dominance & Prec 3.

@mug3nfl0w Yes. This is how am building. Crit chance crit damage toughnes/defense dominance and health. You need allot of skill points. 100 SKill points will do. Enchant dominance and Prec 3 mods. Thats the plan so far its working good but long way to go.

ice is the newbiee tank... should be used for leveling with a group.. fire is the solo tank because of its will power.

fire is the best tank...you can survive with or without a healer, skill points are the key to bein a fire tank... you spec for dom and healin crits and lastly dmg crits and you should be a beast... sure ice is cool, but its weak as soon as the reflect goes off... with fire you can heal yourself as needed, with ice you cant.. fire is also well for when you're getting jumped whereas ice is just a group tank. ice tank aggro isnt well either, fire wins.

im a fire tank 68cr 66sp.. and my stats r a lot like urs but better... i personally think fire tnks should spec more for def rather then dominance bkuz now with drinks (bulldozer mk ii) u can bring dom up 56points 4 30 mins, and with trinket i have I020 dom... 8I00hp.. 3030def... n another tip... spec for restoration as well on wep tree.. fire tnks heal them selves when in a tough pickle... eternal flame saved my as a couple times n fos but the more resto u have the more u can heal ur self.

@UncrownedKingFate those are nice stats however if you have allready used all the defense you can get what would you go next? Dominance and Health is good. This video is 2 months old i my cr is 73 and 94 skill points. Dominance is 1300 with mk3 and trinket. I am ice now so my build is Defense/Dominance/Health/Resto­ration/Crit Heal chance. @SouLWarfare42 Ice tank is easier to use and control than fire tank. Ice tank powers take allot less power and shields protect you from dmg. Where as fire you gain health and allways rely on healing. Ice tank is better for tanking in pve.

dont matter what mentor u are, ur a fire tank and end off. ur loadout would be weak v duel or pvp 100% sc is barely up so that is nt gna get u passed more than 1 duel ever so on, i use all the healing moves and i smileB4DEATH! haha good vid but i prefer my way

@RawMciver until you reach cr 53 the only weapons you can buy are pvp or get the drops from raids and alerts. Once you reach cr53 you can buy pve weapons from CC which is lighting strike dlc with 60 marks of momemntum.

@1stplacechampion its the trinket from lighting strike dlc central city. You need 70 marks of momentum to get it and you must be cr 53 to be able to get in to central city. You can find the portal for central city under tech wing.

@JMONEYx97 There is no skill for toughness alone. Its Toughness and Defense together. So either way you gain both. But yes you would have to use gear with toughness.

Nice vid man! I agree with what you said about reignition. It has uses but I mainly roll with eternal flame lately.

I would go for dominance, crit heal chans, resto, crit heal magnitude, and health in that order.

@TeXas4Life956 thats not fire trinket thats a cr 70 trinket from DLC lightining strike. You can get daily quests in CC and venders are near. You need to be cr 53 to be able to get in cc (which is under tech wing).

Could you show ALL skills? From what I see, you don't do health. With 78 points, you probably do, but you didn't give info on health first over defense/toughness for lower skill point fire tanks.

@lilmrock4456 No i dont do health. I like crit healing chance, Crit healing mag, dominance and defense. That is how i am built. Once i get more skill points maybe up to 100 i will add health or maybe just go crit attack chance since i have lots of health as it is.

You are vulnerable while casting it, while picking it up + while throwing. Now the healer will try to keep you at full health + uses a lot of power that he gets from the controller, who actually wanted to refill the dps´s power, who does way more dmg than you. Bad power economy.

Im pretty sure if i run a T2 alert with a random group and do that i´ll be kicked after a couple minutes, no matter how good my gear is
