I wanna be ranged, I don't like the support roles (smuggler,agent), and the bounty hunter is cool but I don't like how...many things they can do. I want it simple for ma first "playthrough". So can I be a trooper but switch to the empire?

@Astrenar @dragonmerc0 @natekers As it is a canonical release from LucasArtsn as Expanded universes is not true background for the movies, as the 3D animated series aren't. Lucas separated the UE from the Movies Canon to avoid inconsistencies. i'm not saying is not official, but is not movie canonical. and i'm not trolling, as i've been waiting for this game since i knew of the KotOR franchise. @JBantha how CAN it be "not true to the story"? it's a brand new story, from a time that was until now almost unexplored by any star wars product. saying SW:TOR is not true to the story is like saying the original LotR books were not true to the story set by the hobbit. the was no prior reference frame. the only way you could possibly think that it's not true to the story is if you think the sith should not be powerful. guess how the original star wars trilogy started...

Mr. Lucas you are afraid to create your own in-house staff of MMORPG creators and instead you'd rather pay someone else to create your worlds. The blindingly obvious fault in that equation is that you will be funding an entire studio to create your worlds. You could be devoting your resources to your own in-house staff and in doing so benefit ten fold. When I buy a Ferrari I do not want it to be made with HYUNDAI parts, that's what you've done with BIOWARE here.

@Sash00let BioWare has experience recreating Star Wars worlds with, arguably, the best Star Wars game of all time (next to Battlefront). And Lucas is smart, not afraid. Why would he use his own money to create a WHOLE NEW DEVELOPMENT STUDIO + INVEST IN THE GAME when EA and BioWare already exist with a big enough track record to make more money than they would alone. If Lucas made the game himself, he would be losing the millions of BioWare Single Player RPG fans out there. Hes not stupid.

Here is an exercise for you Mr. George Lucas, buy the most popular MMORPG right now and install it on your home computer. Explore every map on the most popular MMORPG and then in your mind replace every villian in that game with a "Storm tropper". Listen to every sound, inspect every tree down to the last centipod, then when you are done imagine it all with Star Wars characters. That's a game worth playing.
