Bounties are what the World Government does to let know of how dangerous that pirate or Revolutionary (Dragon) is!
@SoulBrotha409 ok good point good point, but we havent actually seen any of the yonkous bounties and not all of the shichibukai, and the bounty doesnt always show there full power, blackbeard didnt have a bounty at all and hes one of the strongest guys in one piece
@77hiphopaintdead77 True but the reason why Blackbeard didn't have a bounty is because he wasn't causing trouble or beating the crap out of other bounty pirates like luffy. He just became a shichibukai because he wanted stronger nakama so he fought Ace and gave him to the Navy and became shichibukai because they knew he had to be really strong to defeat Ace who was once offered a seat too. And the only shichibukai that his bounty hasn't been shown is Mihawk's!
@SoulBrotha409 I personally think bounties don't reflect a pirate's power at all, it only represents their threat to the World Government. For example, kid Nico Robin's bounty was around 80 million not because of her strength, merely because what she possibly could've known. On top of that Shakky stated herself that Eustass Kidd's bounty was only higher than Luffy's because of the civilian casualties and mischeif he had caused. You shouldn't take bounties too seriously.
@punjatti101 You got a point there but Eustass is still pretty powerful enough to have that kind of bounty because of his ability, any kind of artillery would be useless because of his power of magnetism his only weakness is that were there is no metal he's screwed! And about Robin is true what you say but cases like hers are special, remember the World Government puts bounties because of the strength or the Danger he or she represents! And most of the time those two are combine!

If power was equivelant to bounty then kid Robin could've beat Arlong and Luffy could've KO'ed Foxy in one punch. I'm sure Luffy's 300 million bounty is based off threats just because he attacked a marine base, declared war on WG, assisted a dangerous criminal (Nico Robin.) and punched a tenryuubito. Actually Aokiji states a bounty is merely based on the threat you pose in chapter 320.
@punjatti101 Well as I said Robin was a special case because of her knowledge of poneglyphs but you're wrong about one thing Luffy's bounty isn't based on threats he beated: Alvida, Morgan, Buggy, Kuro, Don Krieg, Arlong, Crocodile, Bellamy, Enel, Bob Lucci and Gecko Moria and he already had he's $300,000,000 bounty before arriving where the tenryuubito are! Oh and Trafalgar Law and Capone's bounties are nearly as high as Kid's because their devil fruit powers are not as dangerous as Kid's!

@punjatti101 Remember Trafalgar must be still for his devil fruit to work if Kid has his giant metallic hands and takes a shot at Law he has to move and "Room" disappears and with his powers he can take his big ass sword away, and Capone doesn't stand a chance against Kid because all that Capone has is weapons so Kid only has to do Repel and thas it! And that is what I'm saying a bounty is what defines a pirate or revolutionary of how strong and/or dangerous he or she is to the WG!
@SoulBrotha409 I think you're forgetting that Kidd needs time and huge amounts of metallic material to actually form those hands, whilst Law just needs to say "room", then proceeds with "shambles". Capone can cause just as much damage as Kidd, I didn't pit them in a fight. Being a threat and having power are very far apart. Many things would be irrelevant and illogical if a bounty was equal to power. I'm sure Crocodile would have just a big of a bounty without his DF.

And being a threat and having power are not that far apart, if you have power be it politically (like the admirals that have the buster call) or physically like luffy then you're a threat because then why would they give Buggy a bounty when he isn't a threat to the WG!

I'm pretty sure a gun won't do much, after all he could easily restrict it via Room and I find it hard to believe he couldn't deal with guns if he had constant marines chasing him. I find the Bounty=Power theory to have many holes. Admiral Aokiji already stated that bounty= threat and I'm sure Buggy would have done some things to gain that bounty, WG would want to capture him, after all he was a Roger pirate and had gained a DF.
@punjatti101 Well Buggy had his bounty way before the Marines found out that he was a Roger Pirate. And remember when you're in room Law switches things that are inside of room if you see the episode when he uses room vs. a marine he cuts the head of the marine with his sword then switches it with a cannonball so if Law traps Kid in room he can't do nothing because Kid can take his sword easily with his power and then he can't slice anything! Then how about Chopper that has a $50 bounty?
@SoulBrotha409 The marines already knew about Buggy's past which provoked them to actually give that big of a bounty. Buggy being a Roger Pirate was revealed to us, not the marines. Any VA rank marine could take care of Buggy, so there would be no use of him having a bounty unless they knew about his notorious past. You do know that Shambles only requires the movement of Law's hands right? Chopper isn't a threat, as far as the marine's know he's only a pet. Exiled CP9 only knows of his strength.

His DF power makes it seem like he is cutting his opponents up with his Katana but it's proven he is solely using DF power; not the Katana. Chopper isn't a threat, if WG knew about Monster Point Chopper they'd atleast make his bounty one million. They merely think he's a pet. He's charged with pirate association
@punjatti101 Buggy's connection to Roger was known when he was almost at Marineford they didn't now from the very beginning if they have known his bounty would be way higher, the only ones that the marines now that have a connection are Shanks and Rayleigh the others are dead (except the doctor that's with Laboon). His original bounty is for his own doings. Then why does Law always use his sword? And if he didn't needs to then he could've just cut the head of the pacifista without it yes or no?
@SoulBrotha409 Only the escapee's following Buggy had seen him address Shanks, it's not like the higher-ups wouldn't know. On top of that they only had a slight moment of admiration merely because how he addressed him, the history wasn't explained to them. Buggy would've also done some other things to actually get the attention of WG. The point is that Law only needs his DF to slice things up, his sword isn't magical nor a neccessity. Yes he could've seperated the Pacifista's head without it.

And I'm sorry but about the connections that the marines knew of it was with Roger with Shanks and Rayleigh but not Buggy!

@punjatti101 It depends. If a weak pirate managed to cause enough ruckus and kill thousands of people his bounty could only go so high. Im sure if Luffy had the skills he currently has after the timeskip during the war the marines would have probably made his bounty 500 or 600 million.
@londea88 My arguement was that "bounty doesn't equal power", I'm not sure what you're getting at. The marines would have already increased Luffy's bounty directly after (or during) the timeskip. The fact of the matter is that he was fighting alongside one of the most prominent Yonkou's whilst assaulting the government. Most of the top-tiers weren't taking him seriously; cotrolling Haki wouldn't make a difference. Attacking Mihawk didn't change the Goverment's views of the Straw-hats either.
@punjatti101 I will agree with you, many people forget that the bounty isn't power. look at Robin she had it at 80 million at the age of 8, and that was for politics more then anything. Luffy declaring war on the world government by having sogeking burn the flag, it jumped 200 million. Its all politics and people tend to forget that. I mean yes some do have bountys by their pure strength or powers but the boutny isn't just that. So I am glad someone else notices this

@cadet1232 i don't get what you mean exactly, you mean the people in the shadowy figures in the beginning before he starts showing the members individually. I don't really think they have any significance and I don't remember it from the show honestly. Only thing that would make sense is they did it like that because they didn't want to reveal to much of the story/characters before showing the actual characters, so they made random shadows to have us guessing.

And if bounties don't mean crap then there weren't no Schichibukai, Yonkou or 11 Supernovas. Bounties are what the World Government does to let know of how dangerous that pirate or Revolutionary (Dragon) is!

@77hiphopaintdead77 True but the reason why Blackbeard didn't have a bounty is because he wasn't causing trouble or beating the crap out of other bounty pirates like luffy. He just became a shichibukai because he wanted stronger nakama so he fought Ace and gave him to the Navy and became shichibukai because they knew he had to be really strong to defeat Ace who was once offered a seat too. And the only shichibukai that his bounty hasn't been shown is Mihawk's!

@SoulBrotha409 I personally think bounties don't reflect a pirate's power at all, it only represents their threat to the World Government. For example, kid Nico Robin's bounty was around 80 million not because of her strength, merely because what she possibly could've known. On top of that Shakky stated herself that Eustass Kidd's bounty was only higher than Luffy's because of the civilian casualties and mischeif he had caused. You shouldn't take bounties too seriously.

@punjatti101 You got a point there but Eustass is still pretty powerful enough to have that kind of bounty because of his ability, any kind of artillery would be useless because of his power of magnetism his only weakness is that were there is no metal he's screwed! And about Robin is true what you say but cases like hers are special, remember the World Government puts bounties because of the strength or the Danger he or she represents! And most of the time those two are combine!

If power was equivelant to bounty then kid Robin could've beat Arlong and Luffy could've KO'ed Foxy in one punch. I'm sure Luffy's 300 million bounty is based off threats just because he attacked a marine base, declared war on WG, assisted a dangerous criminal (Nico Robin.) and punched a tenryuubito. Actually Aokiji states a bounty is merely based on the threat you pose in chapter 320.

@punjatti101 Well as I said Robin was a special case because of her knowledge of poneglyphs but you're wrong about one thing Luffy's bounty isn't based on threats he beated: Alvida, Morgan, Buggy, Kuro, Don Krieg, Arlong, Crocodile, Bellamy, Enel, Bob Lucci and Gecko Moria and he already had he's $300,000,000 bounty before arriving where the tenryuubito are! Oh and Trafalgar Law and Capone's bounties are nearly as high as Kid's because their devil fruit powers are not as dangerous as Kid's!

@SoulBrotha409 Exactly, once he's defeated a plethora of Pirates WG considers him a threat even though they can't guage his abilities at the most. He invaded the marine base, declared war on WG and helped Nico Robin escape before punching the tenryuubito but it doesn't matter since all of that was high treason anyway. Also Kidd>>> Law and Capone is just baseless. I don't see Kidd getting past Law's DF.

@punjatti101 Remember Trafalgar must be still for his devil fruit to work if Kid has his giant metallic hands and takes a shot at Law he has to move and "Room" disappears and with his powers he can take his big ass sword away, and Capone doesn't stand a chance against Kid because all that Capone has is weapons so Kid only has to do Repel and thas it! And that is what I'm saying a bounty is what defines a pirate or revolutionary of how strong and/or dangerous he or she is to the WG!

@SoulBrotha409 I think you're forgetting that Kidd needs time and huge amounts of metallic material to actually form those hands, whilst Law just needs to say "room", then proceeds with "shambles". Capone can cause just as much damage as Kidd, I didn't pit them in a fight. Being a threat and having power are very far apart. Many things would be irrelevant and illogical if a bounty was equal to power. I'm sure Crocodile would have just a big of a bounty without his DF.

@punjatti101 Well true I forgot that Kid needs a little time to make those hands but still he can just jump or run and you forget that he has a gun but you're right you never pitted them in a fight so it doesn't count as much. And being a threat and having power are not that far apart, if you have power be it politically (like the admirals that have the buster call) or physically like luffy then you're a threat because then why would they give Buggy a bounty when he isn't a threat to the WG!

I'm pretty sure a gun won't do much, after all he could easily restrict it via Room and I find it hard to believe he couldn't deal with guns if he had constant marines chasing him. I find the Bounty=Power theory to have many holes. Admiral Aokiji already stated that bounty= threat and I'm sure Buggy would have done some things to gain that bounty, WG would want to capture him, after all he was a Roger pirate and had gained a DF.

@punjatti101 Well Buggy had his bounty way before the Marines found out that he was a Roger Pirate. And remember when you're in room Law switches things that are inside of room if you see the episode when he uses room vs. a marine he cuts the head of the marine with his sword then switches it with a cannonball so if Law traps Kid in room he can't do nothing because Kid can take his sword easily with his power and then he can't slice anything! Then how about Chopper that has a $50 bounty?

@SoulBrotha409 The marines already knew about Buggy's past which provoked them to actually give that big of a bounty. Buggy being a Roger Pirate was revealed to us, not the marines. Any VA rank marine could take care of Buggy, so there would be no use of him having a bounty unless they knew about his notorious past. You do know that Shambles only requires the movement of Law's hands right? Chopper isn't a threat, as far as the marine's know he's only a pet. Exiled CP9 only knows of his strength.

Exactly Law uses his hand to switch anything he wants in room but he must switch separate things like when he cut off the head of the marine with his sword then switched it with the cannonball! If the marines think that Chopper isn't a threat then why put a $50 bounty on him? I really don't get that! I think is just by the fact he's with the Straw Hat Crew...

@SoulBrotha409 I was referring to original Buggy as well, I don't see why the Marines wouldn't know about Buggy's past. You do know that Law doesn't need to actually use his sword right? His DF power makes it seem like he is cutting his opponents up with his Katana but it's proven he is solely using DF power; not the Katana. Chopper isn't a threat, if WG knew about Monster Point Chopper they'd atleast make his bounty one million. They merely think he's a pet. He's charged with pirate association

@punjatti101 Buggy's connection to Roger was known when he was almost at Marineford they didn't now from the very beginning if they have known his bounty would be way higher, the only ones that the marines now that have a connection are Shanks and Rayleigh the others are dead (except the doctor that's with Laboon). His original bounty is for his own doings. Then why does Law always use his sword? And if he didn't needs to then he could've just cut the head of the pacifista without it yes or no?

@SoulBrotha409 Only the escapee's following Buggy had seen him address Shanks, it's not like the higher-ups wouldn't know. On top of that they only had a slight moment of admiration merely because how he addressed him, the history wasn't explained to them. Buggy would've also done some other things to actually get the attention of WG. The point is that Law only needs his DF to slice things up, his sword isn't magical nor a neccessity. Yes he could've seperated the Pacifista's head without it.

I haven't seen once that Law has use room, and not swung his sword to make body parts separate! The only time he used room without using his sword was to swap the kung fu bear Bepo with Jean Bart! And I'm sorry but about the connections that the marines knew of it was with Roger with Shanks and Rayleigh but not Buggy!

It would be boring with him just spamming random attacks, Law's katana makes him interesting but it's proven he's only using DF powers. I'm sorry but magical Katana's don't exist in One Piece. Again, escapee's only commented on how he addressed Shanks, none of the facts coherently go with the Marines not knowing of Buggy's past.

@SoulBrotha409 That's pretty much just common logic, if Law's DF is actually based around splitting people (like he did with the marines) then I'm sure he doesn't need his Katana. On top of that Oda already stated the extent of Law's abilities and said he only uses the motions of his hands in a "SBS." Oda's own words+ painfully obvious conclusion= No magical katana.

They're going to be training individually for two years, Luffy's training Haki with Rayleigh, Robin's training with Dragon, Ussop's training with Heracles, Nami's in Weatherpiea, Sanji's training with Ivankov, Zoro's training with Mihawk, although it didn't say anything about Brook, Chopper and Franky. They're going to regroup after 2 years and enter New World. At the last page it states Oda is taking a break for a month );

@punjatti101 It depends. If a weak pirate managed to cause enough ruckus and kill thousands of people his bounty could only go so high. Im sure if Luffy had the skills he currently has after the timeskip during the war the marines would have probably made his bounty 500 or 600 million.

@londea88 My arguement was that "bounty doesn't equal power", I'm not sure what you're getting at. The marines would have already increased Luffy's bounty directly after (or during) the timeskip. The fact of the matter is that he was fighting alongside one of the most prominent Yonkou's whilst assaulting the government. Most of the top-tiers weren't taking him seriously; cotrolling Haki wouldn't make a difference. Attacking Mihawk didn't change the Goverment's views of the Straw-hats either.

@punjatti101 I will agree with you, many people forget that the bounty isn't power. look at Robin she had it at 80 million at the age of 8, and that was for politics more then anything. Luffy declaring war on the world government by having sogeking burn the flag, it jumped 200 million. Its all politics and people tend to forget that. I mean yes some do have bountys by their pure strength or powers but the boutny isn't just that. So I am glad someone else notices this

@cadet1232 i don't get what you mean exactly, you mean the people in the shadowy figures in the beginning before he starts showing the members individually. I don't really think they have any significance and I don't remember it from the show honestly. Only thing that would make sense is they did it like that because they didn't want to reveal to much of the story/characters before showing the actual characters, so they made random shadows to have us guessing.
