I will never understand what magic this band has brought to the music industry. It has been a part of me and how I evolved through the years with my appreciation of music and as a person. @kenraq2000 maybe i've been delusional. but sometimes it really make me laugh to hear jose playing with such sophisticated drum kit. if talking bout suits in band, then thousands of people could suited in incubus. at least he can do better than that if jose is a magical drum player.

@esoklusa1 Wow man you clearly know nothing about drumming. And to compare him to tony royster is pointless.  Completely different styles. Tony took lessons since he was a kid so his style is very much traditional. Jose has his own style. He claims to have never taken lessons, and you can hear it in his style. I couldn't imagine another drummer playing with incubus. His beats melt into mike's guitar riffs in a way that I don't think a drummer even as good as tony royster could accomplish.

@esoklusa1 seriously, listen to any incubus video no youtube, Jose NEVER misses a beat. And each song has a totally unique beat. And he really uses every part of his kit. The man is a friggin legend and is my number 1 influence when it comes to my drumming.

Incubus has transcended the walls other bands smash into or never even see. This album deserves major recognition. I dont know why Incubus does what they do...but it's not about fame or money. It sounds like a great search that they share expressed through powerful music.

@johnnyespinoza1 No clue honestly man. They were in Charlotte this past summer that's where I've seen them twice. They'll be back in a few years after hopefully another new album release in the coming years. Crazy thing is I paid $30 total-both concerts to see one of my top 5 favorite bands..couldn't ask for a better deal because their concert this past summer was the best I've ever been to, but that will probably change soon bc I'll be the RHCP opening tour date in Charlotte next month.

@itscchelsea lol i basically came to say the exact same things....i just saw them live in pittsburgh, and i have before, but when i add this CD to the rest of their albums, it creates the most incredible body of work, and seeing them live this time just solidified their greatness to me.....Sometimes artists grow and change, and incubus definitely has too, but their transitions through maturation have all been beautiful to me....Minus light grenades...sue me.

I will say I was apprehensive about listening to the new album after everyones trashtalking but the more I listen to it the more I enjoy every song same as all the albums. They just take a while to get used. Incubus for life!

@gsk624777 I wouldn't say it's their best album either- that honor goes to either "Morning View" or "Light Grenades", personally. This is one of those albums where several years down the road, people will see it for what it was and realize the album wasn't really bad at all- just a different sound. The reaction to their new album is similar to Common's "Electric Circus" a decade earlier- people shitted on that album and years later, they realize how great it really was. Just give it time.
