I wonder if there is really something going on with the blonde girl and the puerto rican guy... seems like they are pretty close. Check out the other video "awkward"

I like this guy behind the counter.. He's quirky. Also I thought the guy with the glasses looked kind of puerto rican.. or something. Great job on the video!
@riomuse Let me clarify, those students (0:03) and the girl (0:24) in the background are not the ones buying the tickets. I care about the BYU population not being the ones who get the tickets or going to the spectacular, as shown at the end of each ad for the Spectacular.
But I may be wrong, maybe that population doesn't go to the Spectacular and that is why the ad targets the population buying the tickets or the ones at the end of the ad.
@WanderingDaWorld I thought this was pretty fun. Hey your blog is pretty interesting too. Maybe you should write a blog entry from your scholarly perspective on how parodies can be used for learning... or something..
@RijRij Interesting comment.. what do you mean? What would you have rather seen? Are you suggesting that this group is not diverse because they are white?
Why am i watching a BYU recruitment video?

There are 4 guys there and only 4 girls.
WTF?
The correct LDS ratio would be 4 guys and 132 girls.
Joseph Smith had 33 wives.
None of those guys will enter the Celestial Kingdom.
Sad.

if the lack of "diversity" rijrij is talking about is lack of people of different skin colors in the ad, check sec. 3 of this ad.

@riomuse The guy in the glasses (with hair) is hispanic. Also the fact that people are white does not mean that they are the same.
jaloha22 1 year ago
@jaloha22 agreed. i was merely letting rijrij know to look closer, because apparently he/she cares about the color of people's skins.

And the bald guy doesn't get the girl :(

@RijRij some pretty valid points. Bald guy should totally get the girl.

@jaloha22 The point of promotion ads is to target a specific audience.
If that audience is represented by the main characters in this ad, then
the target population is the couple represented by:
male: light skin full set of hair; clean cut glasses collared shirt early 20's average body weight
female: light skin blond blue eyes conservative apparel
What about the rest of the BYU student population?
