Touché! You got me on that one, gpeleria. I have to confess that I don't. As someone who works for a major music publisher, I am more sensitive to copyright/licensing issues regarding printed music, as opposed to recorded music/videos.

Ha! Well, to be honest this brings to light a very valid and timely concern. With the advent of the YouTube age, copyright laws are really becoming insufficient. Also --- and I believe more importantly --- how do we take into consideration the value that is actually added to original tunes by these arrangements and covers? This is a conversation that really has to occur between our artists and our lawmakers very soon.

Also, Ich bin der Welt... is one of my faves too. Devastatingly beautiful!

We sang the same arrangement sa CRL choir. I fell in love with it first run pa lang ng rehearsals. And then, wham. Solo. I love how it just leaves you with this nice, happy feeling. I think that was the first time that I actually sang a solo na super heartfelt.
