After hearing about Guts and Griffith being in it and seeing the trailer, it makes me think of a more colorful, less claustrophobic, and less sadistic, actiony Dark Souls.
Is there going to be any multiplayer? pvp or Co-op?
I really hate how now that Skyrim came out and became so big, everyone is comparing any fantasy rpg to it. It's like me (a die hard fan of fallout) hating on any other post apocalypse game because it doesn't look as good as fallout, so what's the point in playing it.
If people actually took a closer look at the combat, they would see how interesting it is.
The weapons and beautiful animations, the differentiation between the 9 available classes, the magic, the climbing; it all looks spectacular. People just shrugging it off make me cringe.
@SpitOutYourStride I play Skyrim too and I have nearly 200 hours in it, but it's not all it's cracked out to be dude. A good game no doubt deserving game of year, but overrated. I think that you shouldn't bash a game without giving it a chance first.
@bulleagle2012 Totally agree. I have MANY hours put in to Skyrim (Well over a 100, which is insanely long for me. I tend to rush through games without meaning to). I saw in a Game Trailers TV show that Skyrim developers speed-ran through the game in about 2 hours. Reckoning developers took over TWO HUNDRED hours to do a speed run! That said, I'm about to go replace Skyrim with both Dragon's Dogma and Reckoning.
@bulleagle2012 Totally agree. Fanboys of Skyrim are just about as bad as those of COD. Then again, any fanboy is obnoxious period. I'm glad I'm not limited to the blindness and naivety of fanboyism. I usually keep a good variety of options when it comes to video games.

That being said, it is hardly the life changing game people make it out to be and you shouldn't miss out on playing other games because of it. If it truly doesn't look enjoyable to you then fine, but don't just dismiss a possibly good game just because it isn't like Skyrim. Personally for me, this looks like a game I'll be pre-ordering.
When I saw the dragon, at first I thought Capcom was finally going to release a new Breath of Fire game after all these years. A shame that my hopes were crushed but oh well, at least Dragon's Dogma seem like it's going to be an awesome game. Plus RE 6 demo pack-in is a great idea regardless.

As this is a new IP Capcom are trying to do everything they can to help it succeed, i.e. RE 6 demo, but I think this would've sold well even without the demo.

I think the main focus will be on single player, however an element of multiplayer will exist, I think it has to do with your companions (pawns). Personally, I don't care if it has no multiplayer, I prefer single player with fantasy.

Resident Evil 4 was a -good- rethink of the Resident Evil games. It kinda killed the whole horror thing but it made the game a little more immersive. It did well. Resident Evil 5, however, was absolutely terrible. Operation Raccoon City looks even worse. The guys in the gameplay video killed a Licker in about 20 machine gun bullets. They had over 300. Resident Evil nowadays is Gears of War with zombies.

I'm with you on this one. However, Resident Evil 4 was a decent game. It still had it's scary bits, like when you first encountered an Iron Maiden. Resident Evil 5 was all daylight action and took the atmosphere away from it. The only thing good about Resident Evil 5 was terrible. The only good things were the return of Chris and Jill.

@AleXy86 I prefer the newer games like RE:4, but I think Revelations is a true resident evil game. It keeps the scares from the originals and the action from 4 and 5 but is less linear than 5. In my opinion, its the best Resident Evil title to date.
@xchargerOUx I'm not sticking to any nostalgia, Resident Evil 4 is a good game, but it's not Resident Evil. Four marks the day you didn't need your brain to play, you blasted everything to death with reckless abandon eagerly awaiting a weapon upgrade/another quick time event, where as the old games there was a thought process behind battle and whether using your ammo was even a good idea in a given circumstance. Bottom line is some people enjoyed the feel of the old RE games.

@tenius6 Resident Evil 4 was awesome! It managed to re think the Resident Evil series, making it more action packed but with keeping the scares. In my personal opinion it was, and probably still is the best game in the resident evil series.
@kingdomkey321 A lot of sequels beat their originals, like Aliens or Terminator 2 and Resi 4 is the same. I'm actually starting to think Resident Evil Revelations is the best Resident Evil, but any of the new Resident Evil games (yes, even RE:5) are more fun than the originals in my opinion. By the way, have you played Revelations ?
They said they didn't want to add multiplayer, or online co-op because they want it to be an excellent action experience, absent of lag, or other multiplayer problems.

@XFALCO14X The dragons are only easy to kill when you've leveled up enough. And The gameplay does get tough when you fight against mages in skyrim. I can't say how difficult this game is until i actually play it.

I think the main focus will be on single player, however an element of multiplayer will exist, I think it has to do with your companions (pawns). Personally, I don't care if it has no multiplayer, I prefer single player with fantasy.

Resident Evil 4 was a -good- rethink of the Resident Evil games. It kinda killed the whole horror thing but it made the game a little more immersive. It did well. Resident Evil 5, however, was absolutely terrible. Operation Raccoon City looks even worse. The guys in the gameplay video killed a Licker in about 20 machine gun bullets. They had over 300. Resident Evil nowadays is Gears of War with zombies.

I'm with you on this one. However, Resident Evil 4 was a decent game. It still had it's scary bits, like when you first encountered an Iron Maiden. Resident Evil 5 was all daylight action and took the atmosphere away from it. The only thing good about Resident Evil 5 was terrible. The only good things were the return of Chris and Jill.

If it was a game where it started off with mutated bug people that can hold knives and sickles and axes maybe RE:4 would be better. but ever since RE:4 the story line started turning into shit. @AleXy86 I prefer the newer games like RE:4, but I think Revelations is a true resident evil game. It keeps the scares from the originals and the action from 4 and 5 but is less linear than 5. In my opinion, its the best Resident Evil title to date.

@xchargerOUx I'm not sticking to any nostalgia, Resident Evil 4 is a good game, but it's not Resident Evil. Four marks the day you didn't need your brain to play, you blasted everything to death with reckless abandon eagerly awaiting a weapon upgrade/another quick time event, where as the old games there was a thought process behind battle and whether using your ammo was even a good idea in a given circumstance. Bottom line is some people enjoyed the feel of the old RE games.

I'm actually starting to think Resident Evil Revelations is the best Resident Evil, but any of the new Resident Evil games (yes, even RE:5) are more fun than the originals in my opinion. @XFALCO14X The dragons are only easy to kill when you've leveled up enough. And The gameplay does get tough when you fight against mages in skyrim. I can't say how difficult this game is until i actually play it.
