I love the powdered eggs. Great protein for food storage, convenient, and no worry about eating raw eggs. Can you use these to make scrambled eggs or omelets too?
Yum! Those cookies look so good. Powdered eggs might be a good idea to have on hand because I always run out of eggs too! :) I can't wait to try this out!
Makes me actually look forward to trying to use powdered eggs! Again, it would have improved this by having the camera "look" into the bowl as Natalie was stirring the powdered eggs up. Otherwise Natalie does a fine job with these.
I've never tried the powdered eggs before, but they would sure last a lot longer than fresh eggs would. Would be a must then for food storage, and not only I love chocolate chip cookies, but my grand daughter too :).
I've never tried dehydrated eggs, and honestly, I'm a little nervous about it. It just doesn't sound appetizing, but I do want to try them. What's it gonna hurt?
Egg powder is totally safe, y'all! I don't get the science behind it, but they're just dehydrated whole eggs. Once you add the water back in, they're basically just the same as the regular eggs.
Those look SO GOOD!!! I never have enough refrigerator space, so that would be great to be able to store my eggs in the pantry! Thank you so much for the tips!
My family loves cookie dough but I am always afraid of them eating the raw eggs in it. These powdered eggs are great I would feel much better about the consumption of dough when the eggs are powdered. Thanks!
I was just about to order some powdered eggs since I am always out of eggs too. Chocolate chip cookies are my families favorite. I am a believer now.l
I've been hesitant about powdered eggs, for quite a while. I can see that focusing on using them as a supportive ingredient, rather than the main dish, will work.
By the way - love the little "mistakes" that makes this more "real" ; )
I am a fan of powdered eggs, too. One thing you may want to consider in your commentary is you refer to fresh eggs and "real" eggs. It gives the impression these are not "real" eggs. But they are "real" eggs, just not "fresh". Just a thought. Thanks!
this is now the second time I have watched this. Printed off the recipe just a couple weeks ago. Now i just need to try it for myself to see if the eggs really are better! I love to eat cookie dough. Can't wait to try it...
I baked these last night and was surprised at how good they tasted. I love eating just the dough and this was pretty tasty compared to the recipe I've used and loved for years. I'm so glad to know that you can make normal foods and treats with food storage. Thanks Natalie, for showing us how!
I have been afraid of food storage for years, not knowing how I would incorporate it into our lives. I love that you have so many recipes. It makes it look so easy to use.
It's nice to see that the majority of the ingredients are from THRIVE, and things that would be in your food storage! I'm curious to try out the eggs instead of refrigerated ones!
I had thought about purchasing the powdered eggs before (as it's hard to store a year's worth of fresh eggs) but wondered if they worked as well....I guess now I know!
she said the powdered eggs don't look exactly like real eggs, but i have to say there pretty close in my experience. It's just like a really well-whisked egg, so it saves a little time that way (by being already whisked, I mean).
ok I commented on this video a month or so ago but I am commenting again for the contest - I have since bought powdered eggs and love them they are wonderful to work with
I've thought about buying the eggs a lot of times but wondered if they were any good, I'm so relieved and excited to see more information about them and I will probably end up giving them a try soon.
Did anybody else see how quick this lady picked up the lid at 1:24? lol.. Welcome to Stepford..
