Acro knew that what he was doing was wrong, but he would rather damn himself than see his brother's fate repeated, or to live knowing he did nothing about it. He never tried to justify himself like some petty criminal, he wasn't some product of his environment...

It's odd since this guy doesn't seem like your typical bad guy. In fact, he's nice and only tried to kill Regina because 1. She unintentionally caused an accident that got his brother badly injured and in a coma, 2. She didn't show any remorse for what happened due to her father's boneheaded stories to shelter her from life and continued to be carefree.

Of course, it backfired and he ended up killing her dad instead who he regarded as a father figure, that had to cause him even more pain.

But he just couldnt forgive. In that sense Acro is weak. He wanted to murder a 16 year old girl. He loved his Brother too much.

How does he deserve pity? He tried to kill the daughter of the man who saved him and his brother from a life of poverty! And even though he accidentally killed that said man, he still blamed an innocent person of doing it. He let his revenge (and Regina's "innocence") get the better of him, and got what he deserved in the end.

No, the real reason for Acro's hate on Regina was her naivety about Bat's state, saying he had become a "star in the sky" and not feeling bad about what happened to him.

She kept on smilling, and that infuriated Acro.

I don't want to sound boring uninteresting but I feel that I have to comment. Musically speaking, this is perhaps the most depressing song in the entire series. It is a toss up between Reminiscence - The Bitter Taste of Truth. But I am not sure though because both play a significant part emotionally (knowing the story of the cases). But I do think that if you take away the context of the cases, True Pain would be the winner.

But being a winner in sadness is an oxymoron of sorts. : P

Regina put his brother into a coma because she led such a sheltered life in the circus, and while she was innocent in nature, I can defintately see why Acro was furious about how happy go lucky she was. He was shattered when he killed the Ringmaster by mistake, who was basically his father.

@shrodu 2-3 is the worst case in the game from a logical standpoint. I still don't quite get how he thought that plan would work like it did, then there's the issue with the cape. Still a fun case, especially with this dark and sad twist.

If anything, out of all the villains, Acro is going to be the one who tortures himself the most. He's already handicapped, he planned the murder of a young, naive girl, and in the process killed his mentor, the person who meant the most to him after his bro.

In all honesty, I think if I were in Acro's situation, I would do the same thing. Though, I'd try to make the note a bit easier for Regina to recognize that it's meant for her. Because, really? I think he wanted to kill the girl with the statue from the 2nd floor by having her go to the designated spot outside and look down at something or wait there. Acro's brother played a prank on the blonde circus girl with some pepper thrown on her to make her sneeze. she tried to get back at him by doing the pepper thrown back at him. yet he had his head in a lions mouth and well pepper and lion equals disaster. Now he is in a coma in the hospital.

You have a child in the body of a woman, a clown who has an estranged wife and hides his sadness with laughter, a quiet ventriloquist who has a puppet with the exact opposite personality, a famous star who's name is Billy Bob Johnson, and my favorite, a murderer with a heart. It's a land full of contradictions.
