  • I have this jacket and it gets the job done. I also have other softshells like the Northface APEX bionic. Mine already has loose stitching but its still holding up. I have it for about few months and washed it about 20 times.

If you think TAD gear ( made in my hometown SF, CA), you should check out Arcteryx or the Arcteryx Leaf tactical line that is being worn by Travis Haley. $500-700 bucks for a softshell. I'm going to buy a mid layer one though because i'm a mall ninja.

  • Hmmm biggest size seems to be XXXL and that's the size I wear..

LL Bean doesn't make anything over XXL =( makes me sad..

  • im color blind is that sand color or olive drab? at 19:24

  • Lovin the TNP. No nonsense, practicle info and damn entertaining. Unlike some of the dry or distracting, eccentric reviews on field gear.

Never stop doing these videos, NF. You are the man!

  • really nice jacket just got mine today in black..

  • i just ordered one in black..great reveiw!

  • the TAD one are made in canada not china..

  • The Stealth Hoodie is freaking $359 now.

  • I was wondering what chest rig you are wearing at 7:00 and what color is that?

  • Hey Nutn. Would the duck pocket work as a make-shift dump pouch?

  • @McLOVINMike I would think it would be hard reaching back.. more so if you have a vest on.

  • According to LAPOLICEGEAR the soft shell jacket with the hood has now been discontinued, condor now offers essentially the same jacket but without the hood :(

  • I bet he sleeps in mechanic gloves lol

    love the vids though

  • I've had one for 18 months of use, your review is spot on...again. High value jacket for moderate temps. Don't like the hood in feel so I'm hood out 24/7. Really like this jacket! Can be found for around $70 delivered. dt

  • I am a bit of a jacket whore & the condor soft shell is the lowest quality of all the soft shells I own. Within the first week the cuff closure on one arm delaminated the main zipper started malfunctioning and some threads from seams started unravelling. I quickly noticed that it was not nearly as water resistant as other jackets so I sprayed it with soft shell spray & put it in the dryer and it did help although it is still subpar due to the fact that none of the seams are taped that I can see.

  • I love mine! Just got it 10 minutes ago, thanks Nutn!

  • i guess the jacket makes noise while moving?

  • Thanks sooooo much for the vid. I'm sold as I will be using it for airsoft since I don't want to spend too much just for recreation.

  • Hey Condor lovers and haters, I got to compare the TAD gear version with the Condor, they are truly the same jacket, and the Condor is almost a third of the price, and they are both made in China, I would suspect in the same factory. TAD makes some great gear, but Condor makes it for less, and you are probably paying just for the name. I own all three colours for $33 more then one TAD gear in Tan that a co-worker has.

  • Bought a Condor Softshell based on this review. Got it just in time to use during hurricane Irene, the jacket got soaked but i remained dry while i was outside for fifteen minutes or more walking my dog. When i brought it back in it was dry in about thirty minutes or more. I am around 5'10 and 185 pounds, so i got an extra large which fits good and leaves plenty of room to wear a fleece under the softshell. Great jacket so far.

  • Just ordered one and the nutnfancy coupon code is still in effect. $70 + s&h. You will save about $16 over other websites.

  • It might be worth pointing out that the hood-less (I think it's called the Phantom soft shell) version by Condor has some differences. Mostly with the pocket setup and, naturally, the lack of a hood.

  • The condor HQ is close to my home Duarte California. The shop I got mine at is Alco target company, they have most of there product there fair prices on all there gear.

  • Nutnfancy: Could you put Scotch Guard on it? I have a green one and just ordred the coyote tan one...you're right, the stain factor is a pain!

Your reviews rock, keep up the great work!

  • @SuperC457 I was thinking the same thing myself. Apparently ScotchGard is safe to use on synthetics.

  • @toooooooooooooooool Should be fine, but do a test spot first. -- Veri

  • @SuperC457 Try it on a small unnoticable spot first, maybe. I think it would be fine, though. -- Veri

  • hey nutnfancy I noticed that you have XXL what is your weight and how tall you are??It seems to fit good on you and i'm sure i'm about same size as you

  • @CPLBSS88 They should be true to size now. Just buy the size you normally would. -- Veri

  • I bought this jacket from Airsoft GI for $80 then I took off to Alaska. I went to the Knik River, boating in Whittier, the Glaciers and hiking into the mountains. I got rain on and blasted by the wind and I was fine. All I needed was this jacket and a long sleeve Under Armour shirt. I also had a Condor fleece just in case but I didn't even use it.

The jacket does get hot above 75f.

When I got back to Cali I bought a tan one to match my high desert gear.

So far, it's holding together well.

  • Hey Nutn, I bought one of these based on your review, and sadly I have to say my experience was different from yours. It developed loose stitching, both wrist straps separated into 2 halves, and one of the hood drawstrings broke. This was only about 3-4 months after I bought it brand new, everyday wear. No hard use whatsoever. Maybe I got a lemon, but it is a data point I think you may find

    interesting.

  • Just received my Foliage Green Softshell today and I must say, very VERY NICE! Ordered from PFIDudes sight with the discount code, was expecting a June delivery but was surprised when I got the email update that it shipped a day (1 DAY) after I ordered. I am very impressed and Nutnfancy's advice was definitely spot on. Sizing issues are still there apparently, I ordered XXL and it fits like XL. Otherwise I have nothing bad to say about this jacket and Foliage Green looks really good!

  • Well now that TAD makes their hoodies in China and charges EVEN MORE for their stuff (Stealth as of 2011= 300$!?) I think they're just giving Condor even more business. And the TAD is pretty rough as far as FnF goes... not too good. I had one but sent it back because the Condor was BETTER!

  • bought mine xx large foliage green based on you review.it has been with me and works great condor co is 30min from my house wish we could go and buy stuff there.

  • @nutnfancy Hey nutnfancy, I'm still confused about this jacket's temperature range. Everywhere I look I see reviews on how breathable this jacket is and how it can adapt to different climates, but I'm still not certain it'd bearable in 95+ degree weather in the south east where I live. What's your take on this?

  • Get the USGI Bear suit for @20 on ebay It's just as good and our troops use it.

  • I have both, The TAD Stealth Hoodie and the Condor Soft Shell. Honestly I wear the Condor more. I love the 2 extra pockets in the inside. Also, The extra compartment for your phone on the side front pockets. TAD jacket doesn't have those. Condor probably did that so they wouldn't get sued by TAD, However, I'm glad they did. The material feels the same. The only thing that I can say about the TAD over the Condor is the name. Guys this Condor jacket is better than the TAD IMHO....

  • I bought this on your recommendation and I love it. I got it specifically for a backpacking trip through the Grand Canyon (where I put many other TNP tips to the test [they all passed with flying colors]) and it did not fail to perform. Temperatures that ranged from 60 to 30 degrees, rain and shine with low and high exertion of energy are a hard test for this jacket but I was not disappointed at all. Thanks for the great piece of kit, Nutn!

  • Nutn, Could you do a review on a Condor Urban Go Pack? There is so much talk out there on it and it and it either goes one way or the other. Hard to find someone who will justify the pro's and con's with a sense of credibility. I believe your review will put it through the stress tests needed.

  • Nutnfancy Do you like the Alpha m65 field jackets or do you consider the design to be outdated because it's a simple polycotton blend jacket?

  • @GoldenColts I wear those jackets all the time too, while the tech is kinda outdated, it's got the style that'll never fade out. I find nowadays I like to wear those when it's colder, usually over my condor microfleece. Semper Vigilans dude.

  • Hey, TNP. I'd like to say thank you for all of the effort and time that you invest in to making such great videos. It's not easy to find honest reviews / evaluations like the ones that you produce. Oh, and as I was watching the video, I noticed that at 10:27, you refer to the jacket as the Stealth Hoodie - it threw me off for a brief moment. Just a heads up in case you want to toss an annotation in there. Keep up the awesome work. It's appreciated.

  • The water resistance on this jacket is great for a softshell jacket. Compared to a hard shell's waterproof ability, however, its not so great. In heavy rain, you will get a little damp, not soaked, but damp. I noticed that the top seams along the neck-to-shoulder line allow a little water. In lighter/medium rain, it really holds up. I do own this jacket, I've walked for miles in rainy WA state. I've taken it to snow-covered peaks and the performance for the price is unbeatable.

  • I bought the 5.11 Sabre and after 1 week ordered one of these which I should have done to begin with. Half the price and "hopefully" none of the clamminess. The sabre is like wearing a garbage bag. No breathing at all. I had pit zips open on the first day just to make it tolerable.

  • Fantastic review this will be awesome when i use it for hunting in northern sweden later this year!! :D

  • They have NOT adjusted the sizes..I wear a large reg. in all my jacket/parkas and I couldnt even zip it with a t shirt underneath..XL fit perfect so def go a size up.

  • got one too. $80 so worth it. i would get a TAD softshell...if i had the money! Condor softshell for literally...fraction of a price of TAD's softshell!

  • I got the TAD gear one, but it was from the manufacturer, so it costed $155 cheaper. LOL.

  • is there a tnp coupon still? im very interested in one

  • @ryusekai Yes, just use "nutnfancy" upon checkout. -- Veri

  • watched your review liked the look of this jacket, so i ordered it off OpsGear on 6-Jan 2011 and got it yesterday (17-Jan) only have one day and i love it. The fit and workmanship is great,so comfortable and warm it's -3c here at the minute and all I need is a t-shirt under it,thanks man for the review......Mick in Ireland

  • I'm still waiting for mine and my fleece from TPI, ordered 12.8.10 and sent them an email asking about my orders.....NO ANSWER. Guess they don't read their email! Calling them tomorrow. Supposedly shipping was to begin two weeks ago, I think.......hope I get them soon. Would have though PFI might update it's customers or something similar....

  • Just curious, can you comfortably layer this jacket with condor's microfleece jacket? I want to get the softshell, but it woud be nice if their fleece layers with it. Thanks and happy holidays.

  • I already have a military Gore-tex parka...if I were to get this and a Condor fleece jacket, I could probably do anything in rain or snow...

  • ooh and i hung it to dry in my office with a ceiling fan and floor fan on high and temp about 70 degrees. completely dry in approx 2 hrs and let me tell you the condor was soaked through the arms and lower back but not the chest and shoulders area

  • okay tested mine today teaching a leo rifle class here in vegas. it rained from sprinkle to drizzle to RAIN and was in the environment for 4 hrs. like you mentioned the water did finally penetrate at about 2.5 hrs and i could feel the extra weight of the moisture. i stayed warm though. but i was aware of the cold (about 50 degrees and 10-15 mph wind gusts its dec 20th) and wet on my arms and shoulders. tomorrow ill test a rain jacket on top of my condor fleece hoodie.

  • Thank you WAFFLES081 for your help and reply. Have a Merry Christmas !

  • Perhaps I missed it but although NutN declares the XXL fits him, I didn't see NutN's height & weight for us to compare ourselves to for sizing.

Pardon me if I missed it but NutN.....can you give me your height & weight ?

  • @DeltaThree2

In some other videos he said he was around 6' 2-3" and almost 200lb

he would normally get XL. (or tall Large?)

And in the description he said that Condor has fixed the sizing so its now true to size apparently.

    hope that helps.

  • nice video!

  • OMG I forgot to use my TNP discount code when ordered thru PFI, oh well live and learn. I am waiting till January 2011 for them to be shipped but well worth the wait. Thanks for the review, posting and sharing.

  • @firearms1894 Call PFI and let him know.. Maybe its not too late. -- Veri

  • Great reviews. I am waiting on mine from PFI and it looks like it might be January 2011 before they are delivered, but well worth the wait. Thanks for sharing and reviewing.

  • Hear they run small should i order a size up??

  • Comment removed

  • This jacket is truly incredible for the money. I got mine from USCAV in two days via standard shipping too! I think the quality is great. I'm 5'9 at 170 Lbs with a 34 inch waist and 40 inch chest, I'm just offering this info for folks needing sizing reference...........I bought the Large and it fits me perfect. There is room to layer up underneath and the jacket will fit on the "perfect" side meaning not too much excess material hanging around to get in the way of load bearing gear, vests.

  • lmao @ 14:46 you can hear a very slow deep nutn voice from the picture in picture!

  • I personally own this jacket in black it's phenomenal. I've wore it in 90 degree heat it was comfortable it's water repelence was great and as of recent i have been in below 0 temps with -20 windchills all i had to do was put a light zip up hoodie underneath and i was fine. downside when drying it the wrist cuff straps rubber backing seperated from the velcro otherwise great jacket very good looking and very tactically capable and awesome price.

  • I got one in OD, the only downside is I HAVE to wear a longsleeve under it or the pitzip zippers irritate my skin.

  • Thanks NutNFancy! I just got my Condor XL Softshell and based on your review I knew I was getting a quality product! No need to get the TAD Stealth Hoodie this jacket will do the trick! Spend those saved pennies elsewhere!

  • Picked one up after watching this video, paid $82.00. I usually wear an XL but had to get a XXL, they seem to run a little small.

  • Just bought mine today from US CAV. Thanks for the great review! I appreciate the time you take to give such thorough reviews.

  • Got my Condor Summit softshell today. LOVE IT. Time will tell on durability. Stitching was great. I'm 6'-1" or just under maybe and about 195 lbs and I ordered the XL. I'm glad I did. They are not any bigger I don't think. If you wear Large shirts, I'd probably go XL on the Condor. Just adding my .02 for anyone considering them.

  • I have this jacket for some months now (foilage green) only thing I can complain about is the hood for me it is way to big if you are not wearing at least a cap like you did in this exceltent review other than that it is a very nice jacket and well worth the money

  • 08:56 What jacket is that? I really need an answer quickly.

  • @Sienify Its the same one that hes reviewing in the video, duh

  • @Sienify

you mean the white one the other TNPr is wearing? If so I'm wondering too.

  • Did this guy just spend 25 minutes talking about a jacket?

  • @SIG551P Ha yer he sure did, i think he like's the jacket! quick tip if Nutn as put a high likeability in the Notes it will generaly be a longish review, i dont mind it thou. peace =]

  • I emailed Condor 2 weeks ago and asked if they had changed the sizing any time. They said no, they are using the same sizing they always have and that they are “slim cut”. The demand for these jackets has been crazy. I’ve got one en route to do my own review. Won’t be a vid probably, but just to add another opinion for the TNPers out there.

  • hey nutn, are you sure you didnt get the asian version? cause they're L is like our small, or something like that. people are alot smaller in asia. on a bunch of asian sites they have warnings that everything on their site is in asian sizes, and that it will size smaller.

  • Hey Nutn, thanks for this video! I just got my softshell in OD from uscav (and ean extra thanks for the discount code!) and I love it! This review is what really made me set on it and I'm so glad I bought it. I heard bad things about Condor before, but I don't have anything to complain about in this.

  • What holster is that on your vest nutn?

  • @guitargod790 It's a serpa holster. Blackhawk make them and you can find them pretty cheap on Opsgear.com

  • I just climbed a 12,000ft mtn this weekend with this jacket! It rocked! Wind chill brought the temperature down to about 10deg and wind was about 40-45mph gusts. The pockets were in the right places and the hood was extremely useful. The only negative is that there was some wind bleed through the zippers. Highly recommended guys!

  • I'll be ordering this from PFI dude (firearmspro . com) in black (i don't want it to stand out too much). I need a good all around jacket and with the code that nutnfancy provides it is less than $83 including shipping.

  • I had no more room in my subscriptions box so i had to kick one off to make room for you, but it was worth it, nice review

  • Well I was supposed to be doing my homework. If anybodys looking fur this jacket in stock check opsgear or evike they usually have them

  • I love your reviews bro, now if UsCav can tell me where my order went or if they'r e just still backordered.

  • well i guess if you have the money get the condor for training in, and the tad gear version if you need to be serious

  • Just saw this on PFI dude's site, looks good! On a related note(to your vid), what's your opinion on TAD? I'm browsing their site and it looks good to me :) Cool looking knives, some nice apparel too

  • Just got my OD softshell from PFI. Took a little while to get here (3 mos.) but the jacket looks 1st rate. Thanks to TNPs honest review, and PFIs discount, I'm very pleased with the product. Look fwd. to putting the softshell to good use as my outer layer in our North-East Winter weather....Thanks TNP for another great review!

  • Reluctant to purchase shoes and clothes on line. I am vertically impaired and somewhat of a wide body. It took a few months to receive my order due to supply issues.

PFI kept me informed on the status of my order and I received my fleece jacket and my soft shell jacket yesterday the 29 and I could not be more satisfied. The quality of the jackets was not overstated in the video.

Thanks for the recommendation, glad I pulled the trigger. Veri, thank Nutn for me.

    Mac

  • My Academy DI used to call them Irish Pennants and rarely would he call them Klingon's..LOL .. Nutn that phrase rought back memories lol.

  • Hey, Nutn, how does this softshell handle hot and humid weather? I would like this jacket but I'm thinking about just getting the Condor Microfleece instead so I could get more use out of it.

  • nutnfancy - thank you for the great videos. I beg to differ with your opinion about the TAD Gear jackets though. I own both Condor and TAD Gear jackets. If you were to stand in pouring rain (I have many times) you would find the TAD Gear softshell to hold up better and prevent water seepage than the Condor. It may appear the same outside but the interior has no hanging peices of material and is of LIGHTER weight < that should appeal to you. Just my 2 cents. :)

  • I got my jacket and its awesome! Got it in black so it didnt draw to much attention but a couple of buddys noticed it. for anyone wonderin about the sizeing im 5.8 an 180lbs and large was perfect size. I woulda perfered the body be a *little bit longer* but its works.

  • I've heard the sizing on this jacket was different, is it true? I'm 5'6" 135 lbs, what size should i get?

  • Just got my soft shell in the mail today. I was really worried Condor was going to do a bait and switch for this batch of soft shells since last years sold so well, but it appears the same quality is still there.

It's a great looking jacket, and the quality is really good for the price. My wife ended up ordering one for herself.

    Thanks again for the review!

  • Yet another fantastic review. Just received my XXL coyote softshell from PFI! Love it! Thanks for hooking up the discount Nutnfancy!

  • I like your review...very informative and sometimes funny though. Good job.

  • I just got my 3XL coyote softshell today (9.22.'10) from USCAV with the TNP discount. Been on backorder since may. A few loose ends on my inside stitching that I'm sure I can clean up. Outside all looks good. All in all a good way to spend about 80 dollars.

  • @Dumak2 You waited a long time! I love updates like this. Glad you like it, Nutn loves his! -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Just got this jacket today, I bought it and the Micro Fleece based completely on the awesome reviews, I had to pay 100 bux for the Soft shell cause I live in Canada and I ordered it in country, I ordered the Micro Fleece from PFI guy and have been waiting since early December, PFI has been excellent though, we've been it contact pretty regularly. Keep up the awesome reviews, I wish I could see NutnFancy review a Swiss Arms Classic Green, I guess you guys can't have them down there.

  • @Dumak2 my stitiching came out on the forearm pads and the zipper and on the cuffs....in fact the threads are loose almost everywhere.....but its holding up with abuse so w.e...

  • Damn, my dad has a criminal record so we can't do this stuff together. It sucks. He would enjoy it a lot.

  • So what are the sizes ??? and I saw that they are coming out with a XXXL??

  • got my OD green one ready for the other colors. I love this jacket

  • I think I might pick one of these up. Great review!

  • These jackets are true to size. I am 5'11 160lbs with long"er" arms. and a Medium fits me well and would take a fleece underneath. Another note for you guys... The Forest color is more of a dark grey than a green. its one of those colors that will mess with the color blind.

  • what color patchs would go with the foliage green color one?

  • Thanks PFI for offering the discount….but you’re killing us on shipping brother! Never happy are we? :0)

  • it also comes in foliage green

  • TAD makes amazing gear. You get what you pay for. I own the stealth, and their hardshell assault jacket both are top notch, but I find the stealth to be overkill pocket wise. With my vest on the chest pockets are hard to get to and and all the little things I just keep in my admin pouch. Although TAD has amazing cable management etc. What's a lot better is the arcteryx LEAF Atom LE. Its just as warm as the stealth, but it's super compact and can be found for around $100 on sale. And when I say

  • I am thinking on buying the ranger hoodie from tad gear is it worht it or should i get this?

  • lol DAM! 10:46

  • Time to ditch that old surplus coat :)

  • lol...airsoft gear...haha...in any case softshells are great, I got a Nike ACG (all conditions gear) softshell and I've been wearing it in 90 degree weather and I'm very comfortable. Softshells = awesome

  • Hey Nutn, thanks for all the great reviews!

Would it be possible to once do a video on how you layer clothing when hiking etc... in various scenarios? It is possible you did a vid already on this, but there are so many! :-)

  • Comment removed

  • Whats the chest rig u have on the jacket from 0:01-1:45?

Id really like to get the same rig cause I go shooting up in the mountains & keeping all my gear where i can see it is good.

  • thanks for the review. Did you find the jacket to be true to size? People are saying that it feels one size small. What are your thoughts??

    Thanks!

  • @ParaKraft Nutn says yes, it runs small. -- Veri

  • Ordered from a recommended supplier and have not received yet so I can't comment on the product. Maybe the owner has bought ammo with my money to run n gun LOL. Excited to compare to TAD Gear original. Make some more outerwear vids!

  • @m1th3 We are still waiting to get them from Condor. Your purchase was part of our PRE-ORDER and the rest of our customers are still waiting too. I wish we were able to fill orders, but Condor is not able to ship them. We will have them in the mail as soon as I get them in my paws.

  • @PFIDude I just finally got around to ordering one of these this last weekend.

I just wanted to shout out another thanks to you (PFIDude) and nutn as well. Thanks for all the hard work and great discounts.

  • @USDAChuckSteak Thanks for the order! We just got finished shipping out our first shipment of these jackets. We were not able to fill all backorders, but we did fill most of them and we have a few left over that were not ordered. Our next big shipment should be coming the end of August. Thanks again for your support! B

  • @PFIDude No worries. It's running about 110-115 degrees where I live right now so I won't be trying this out very soon.

And thank you for the awesome stuff at a great price.

  • I've been told condor is now offering a 3x size to this jacket.

  • is that why the condor vest video is gone?

  • You mention that if you wear a large you should get an XXL. Do you say this because you are just taller or because they run small? For example I normally wear a large in most items. Im 5'10", 210lbs, 36in Waist, and 45in Chest. I would say athletic build. I would like to be able to layer a fleece or like under when really cold but not have it be baggy when not. Thanx in advance and keep up the great reviews

  • I have a TAD Gear Robin Hoodie SS, its a more civilian type of jacket with standalone hood and collar. It lacks cuff and waist cinching to keep with a less serious look. If you want any info or opinions on that model of TAD wear then I can provide. Also I believe the robin hoodie SS is discontinued.

  • Just received mine, with many QC issues. Loose and knotted threads all over. Almost as if the machine jammed at the end of every run. It took me an hour to trim and clean it all up. But then I noticed that a section of the seam tape on the chin guard totally missed the stitching (the most important section, where it folds over at the top).

I waited on backorder for this, so I'm fixing the seam tape myself. Overall, I'm actually still happy with the jacket. Thanks for the recommendation,

  • dude i might get one, looks pretty good, and not f###### 500$ lol

  • I agree with ratgurk. If you think the videos are too long dont complain on here... Ive seen that stuff alot on nutn's videos. And who cares about the burn? its his videos and he'll do whatever he thinks wont distract the viewer from the product he is reviewing. Keep making video's nutn, and have fun!

  • I wanted a Soft shell jacket for XC skiing...and maybe for downhill skiing..(id have to add a thermal layer for a think fleece undeer it)

I want this, or the northface Cipher which has GoreTex Windstoppper.

  • your sillyy about yourr burn making a deal out of it is more distracting

  • @ben20012004 Not really...we get a lot of mail about all aspects of his hands. Yeah, weird. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Maybe the tactical community has a hand fetish? haha :) btw, i wanted to say thank you Veri, for keeping flamers and douchebags under control, bravo!

  • @Crich775 Thanks so much! Yeah...it makes Nutn uncomfortable, but I have to tease him about the mail that we get about his hands. Some of it is downright strange..lol I read one to mama over the phone the other day...20 minutes later she called back and asked, "was that for real?". :D

  • @Crich775 haha that sounds about right, i told someone why soldiers mount out m9 on our chest because he asked, then got flamed over 3 paragraphs because i dont know sh*t about anything about guns or holsters. haha hopefully one year ill be able to go to a famous run n gun ;)

  • @Crich775 There are not a lot of people that "get it" like you do, Crich. We consider ourselves outnumbered here at TNP (we're not necessarily a worldwide popular viewpoint) but we're not outgunned, that's for sure. ;) - Veri

  • @nutnfancy Why thank you :)

  • It's an all encompassing review. It's going to be long because nutnfancy is going to be thorough about his reviews. If you want quick reviews go read them on a forum. What you get here is a comparison to a broad selection of benchmarks, not some guy saying "i bought it and it's awesome - go buy it"

  • 4:17 HA! "in a nutnshell"

  • Hey Nutn i like how you introduce the video with the condor chest rig. I was wondering what you think of the condor plate? I wanted to get that blackwater plate carrier that you bought but its discontinued. So im looking for a replacement. Got any ideas

  • Great reviews Nutn! I just ordered the jacket and fleece from PFI Dude.

  • @dropfall82 Thanks for the order! and thanks for supporting the TNP!! B

  • Bought one for the Great White North (Canada BC). Picked it up at Poco Military in Langley for $109 Canadian. Great jacket, wear it all the time.

  • A very helpful video, and thanks for the heads up on the promo code and t-shirts!

  • gratzz

  • Whats the cheapest place to get one of these? anyone know where I can get it with military discount?

  • It is pointless to belittle this jacket for being a knock-off of the TAD. Price under-cutting and product emulation are basic, inevitable results of capitalist economics...to suggest that this is immoral is like suggesting that it is wrong to gravity to pull downwards. Condor is providing a product of a certain quality at a certain price point. If you don't like the quality or the price, don't buy it. However, judge the quality on its own merits..."adequate" is different than "the best".

  • can you show some layering reviews veri please pass this on to nutn

  • Does this shrink in the wash?

  • Amen to that, look if you dont like the length just go and watch some Fox or some CNN. Babys

  • Condor used to make some real crap, lol. I am glad to see them doing much better these days.

  • Wow, thats some expensive clothes. Makes me glad to live in South Florida and not have to worry about winter gear.

  • Love your vids. Don't have time to watch them all but I really like the sense of humor you maintain in these review vids. Review videos can be quite boring....these are a joy to watch! Great work, keep it up!

  • Something to add to my wishlist. Thanks Nutn.

  • Excellent vid! The value on this jacket is awesome. I'm glad to see Condor has stepped up the quality of their gear over the last year.

  • That may become my everyday jacket :D

    at least for winter @_@

    Lol on the sunglasses :P

    Another great vid :)

    Keep them coming! :D

  • I'd like to watch that review of the cross draw vest he mentioned at the beginning, but I haven't been able to find it. Anyone know the URL or title of that video?

  • I use one of the dual "kangaroo" pouches on my belt, took it through a 2 day carbine class, and use it for training regularly, it is a good piece of kit. and if it falls apart, well it only costs $16, I'll just buy another. But I honestly can't see it falling apart any time soon. And I am hard on gear, I broke a couple of 5.11 mag carriers, and some other shit.

  • 260? wtf do people think when they price stuff.
