this was not a tutorial, if you got off your ass and had a look and a think you would see in related videos a video called "Caterpillar of tank. Animated. Blender 3D Tutorial" by 999ooo999ooo999ooo the same person I thanked in my intro, I used a tutorial with out sound why can't you.

I tried doing this but the individuel tread things get all deformed when thet goes around a the turn instead of rotating.

Try checking the path. Make sure that area of it is not twisted. It will cause the deformation.
