Thank you for taking the time to post this song with the pictures and words. I had no idea how this song got it's start...I imagine it helped strengthen the faith of those witnesses who were suffering in the concentration camps. Thanks again!
For those unfamiliar with the origins of this song... it was written in a concentration camp when the Nazis were attempting to break the witnesses away from serving Jehovah and to serve the Nazi regime instead. It is basically saying trust in Jehovah and move forward brothers because Jehovah will relieve us, that we cannot turn our backs on Jehovah and compromise. Jehovah's witnesses (Bible Students) were the ONLY ones that could have just walked out of a concentration camp. Look it up.
i love this song..... it really show that we must always move forward no matter what Satan trows at us must be determined to stand for Jehovah and be prepared to defend the good news
Sorry bud. I don't have a carnal mind. When I sing praise songs, God is the subject. Not the people of my church.
I lift his Holy name and praise him for sending Jesus to save me from the wages of sin. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. He is my salvation. He is my rock. My mediator. He goes to the Father for me. He died for me.
Who did you say has a carnal mind? Are you looking in a mirror?
I don't understand. I don't see praises to God in this song. Just praises to the denomination. This is not a worship song or a praise song. Its a patriotic song to the religion.
The best kingdom hall song out of all the songs next to 'Jehovah Is Our Refuge'. :-)
