i liked this series of videos. i know it's hard for lds members to see this and feel like they're being bashed on or attacked... but, from a neutral standpoint. these videos just seemed to come off as telling their stories. not that they were hateful or holding a grudge, but that they once lived a certain lifestyle, found information that changed their minds, and now they don't (just like it happens vice versa)... great job on the video.
@tamasandy There are more of those stories; just google I am an Exmormon. They will be posting a new one each week with any luck. They are not evil people, they just cannot believe the lies any longer. Why should that upset anyone? Why are Mormons so afraid?
I left that cult of emotional bondage, now I WANT THEM TO LEAVE MY CHILDREN ALONE! They are encouraging them to shun me and want them to go on a mission against my wishes to built up their kingdom of Satan on earth. My children are NOT the property of your cult. LEAVE them alone Salt Lake City. It will only make me proclaim to the world that you are destroying my family to strengthen your numbers. I will only counteract your efforts and bring more out of your cult through leading them to truth.
You guys are awesome! Keep up the good work. I hope that someday everyone will wake up and understand the truths, secrets and history about the misguided religion known as the LDS Church.
@ExmormonFoundation Its funny that the only person that we can know for sure, that is telling the truth is Ms. Tanner, that she was born in the church, and now she is an ex-Mormon. But sure I want to kick some of this guys in the pants, for being so dumb. By the way why are you doing all this?? The statistics prove that the church deserves more respect than you think.
Yup. You got us! Thanks for setting the record straight about our nefarious uploading practices. Never ever trust an Exmormon, not only do we upload copied Mormon movies and pawn them off as our own, but we really are quite evil as well. Please watch the remaining clips of the video, or better yet, why not order a copy of your own?
May we suggest a site run by Mormons to aid you in your studies: MormonThink d o t c o m
All the best in your continued studies, and thanks for stopping by.
@willykNZ you doubt that we'd film missionaries biking? What does that even mean? Guess what? We did! We know how to use video camera's and all kinds of fun juke like that, just like mormons do!
@willykNZ ....you've just watched Part ONE haha....this is the introduction, as the title states. Watch the next parts and you'll see each on denounce LDS. Just wondering why you typed this comment....just curious.
I really wish ex mormons would discuss their experiences in the church and the events that lead to there departure or excommunication. But it seems like most ex mormons just want to attack dead poeple and find justification for there actions. A pattern that usually lasts until they are one there death bed. Only then do they usually find enough humility to take personal accountability for there actions. I am the exception. If I can do it I think others can as well.
Its always the same story. A sentence two about how long they were members to make um sound conveniencing and then right into Joseph Smith and Brigham Young did this and lied about that. Often finished off with Mt Meadows. A jaded look at history is not what I wanted to hear about. I want to know peoples real stories. What happened, What events took place. Who offened who and what emotions were behind it? Why is is so hard for an X to talk about these things?
And he's back. Just can't stop peeking through the exmormon keyhole eh? The peepstone must be out of order again?
How's the research coming along, you know, the research which validates your religious claims through verifiable evidence, facts etc.? It's a monumental task, but I'm sure you can make it happen. Let me summarize your method:
1. Believe absurdities
2. Mentally confirm such with confabulation and emotional bias
This is a much easier way than research, facts and investigation. Just claiming something as true has always been a faster way than that silly process of objective research with a firm commitment to truth & factual reality.
Your method has been employed for centuries, but you'll have to excuse my lack of faith in your method as the results have often proven themselves disastrous for humanity.
Hmmm, perhaps there is another way? The scientific method perhaps? Nah, just stick with steps 1-3.
Is it entertainment or is it agony? See for most of you knowing that there still are good people that are achieving what you failed at. It is often quite painful. Knowing that your chasing a dream and were still living the dream. It can build a lot of resentment. Even make you believe things you know are wrong. Hoping that someday you might be justified in your actions. The damage most of you have done to yourself is un reversible but you still might be able to do something postive with you life
Oh, it's definitely entertainment, LOL. I couldn't agree with you more that you are living in a dream world. And you are correct that many good people in your Cult do believe things that are wrong.
My positive efforts help far more people than your Fraud. I've helped 3 times the people out of the church than I got in, because Truth needs no justification. I'm the success, you are the failure.
Poor Marco; we can leave the Cult, but he can't leave us alone. His doubts must cause his dissonance.
But you havent really left have you? I mean when I find our something doesn't work or its not true. I leave it alone and don't look back. I dont spend the rest of my life trying to justify my actions. I don't spend one more min of my time building up armies or throwing pity parties about my decisions. Things that don't work or are not true. Collapse on themselves. They dont grow into the richest and most successful religion in America. Now how is that a failure? Results don't lie.
So your testimony is based on the Mormon bank account? And just how do you know what the financial standing of the Mormon Church actually is due to their lack of financial disclosure? The Mormon Church has been in serious financial trouble many, many times, almost insolvent in the 60's. It must be all that divine guidance.
"Things that don't work or are not true. Collapse on themselves." Well the JW's must be true, North Korea must be true. Where in the hell did you learn to reason?
Oh, one more thing, I think it would be wise for you to research what other cults similar to Mormonism have achieved in their financial standings as well. Take the "Moonies" for example. Very rich, very connected and very much a cult. But I guess they too are "true", right? LOL!
Oh wait, I know, they are Satan's counterfeit to deceive and lead people away from the real 'true" church. I'm sure that's how you rationalize it too. We did. It couldn't be a sham like all the rest right? Nah.
So you think resigning means I haven't left? :-) My acknowledgment from the Cult says otherwise, so you better let Tommy Monson know, LOL.
You are such a fine example of leaving alone what doesn't work for you. You don't spend one more minute of your time justifying your actions, here and everywhere else I see you posting on the internet, LOL. You must be obsessive-compulsive in defense of your Fraud.
The richest and most successful religion in America is the Catholic church... continued
Mormonism is losing ground. According to the Pew Forum, in the last decade the Cult has decreased from .018 of the US population to .017. "Results don't lie."
According to your logic, those who have NO religion are successful because they've doubled in 10 years to 17% of the US population. In case you need help with the math, that's 10 times the puny Mormons.
Bombastic self-aggrandizement doesn't impress the rest of the world, when evidence says your Cult is a Fraud. continued...
LOL. ROFLAMO. Actually thats 1000 times more. LOL. I think you may need some help with that math there buddy. LOL. But the made up numbers and the fictional results are really nothing in comparison to your math skills. LOL. My my my is this all that satan can come up against Christ now a days. A math mathematician with an active imagination and a 2nd grade education. Not much to stand against now there is it.
Umm, No. It's your math skills directed by Satan. You are mixing percents. 17% equals .17 of the population are No religion, while .017 equals 1.7% of the population are MORmONs. 17% is 10 times 1.7%. You boxed yourself in. Checkmate.
Such are the mental skills of True Believers.
Before making arrogant and false assertions, try googling Pew Forum. The rest of the world knows the numbers are not fictional, but please continue to show your ignorance while we "ROFLAMO" at you (incorrect acronym).
The best and brightest are leaving the Cult, while those remaining are the mental pygmies like Marco who refuse to read and learn, but assure themselves that they have "all Truth" (TM) while demonstrating they know nothing but the party line.
For Google, thank Allah, Thor, and Zeus, for therein lies enlightenment beyond the grasp of those such as Marco, who choose willful ignorance.
I myself left for 15 years. It took me that long to realize that I was the one with the problem. Not Christ. I used to be you skeptik. Exactly to a T. How many years have you been away now and how many more years until your return?
Marco, you can't un-ring a bell. You can't make the absurdities of Mormon doctrine go away once they are known and understood. That would be like going back to kindergarten following your graduation from university. Perhaps your reasons for returning had nothing to do with Mormonism, and everything to do with community, belonging and acceptance.
Whatever it was, it does not change Mormon history, doctrine etc. It is simply not what it claims to be.
only those that have failed at life and look to place blame see it that way. I know its easy to view the church as the source for all your problems. But that kind of takes the personal accountability factor right out of it doesn't it. If you weren't severely scorn by something you expected the church to do. That you could not do. You wouldn't have the outlook that you do against the church now would you. Come on man its so easy to see. I don't know why you still try to deny the results
This is a very interesting video because it tries to give the perception that these people are unique and that this sort of thing doesn't happen in any other religion. Actually, a video EXACTLY like this could be made about every major religion in the world. The difference is that when those people leave those religions they often don't return to attack it.
I'm not sure what help this video was supposed to be for the 'cause' here.
Oh, you must be a Mormon. Have you ever talked with ex-Jehovah's Witnesses? Moonies? Scientologists? There are actually a great many folks who leave other cults and seek support when leaving their former absurdities behind. We reach out to help those leaving the cult of Mormonism behind, and there are other such support groups and organizations doing the same for others. Perhaps instead of showing us your persecution complex, you could actually verify the claims of your religion instead.
So why do you care? Why are you coming here acting so indignant about our videos? I told you the purpose of our site, yet you still have a bone to pick with us because it's your nutty beliefs we happen to showcase. Perhaps instead of getting your garments in a twist over us, you could research the claims of your religion instead?
May I suggest a great site to aid you in your studies: MormonThink d o t c o m.
My nutty beliefs? You don't know who I am or what I believe.
What's funnier... is that I just debunked your entire site with simple facts... and you can't handle it.
I don't have a bone to pick with you, I merely pointed out inconsistencies in your approach.
You are biased. Every sunday 154,000 people don't return to their congregations... CHRISTIAN congregations.... not mormons. they just don't like it anymore. too busy, whatever. Your video shows some discontents... whoopeee.
For the most part, the only people our site tends to annoy, causing little drive-bys of paranoid potshots are Mormons, & it would seem that based on your comments & defensive stance, you are indeed a Mormon or at least fond of special underwear.
You're upset with us for posting these videos. You think we are biased, & you have debunked our entire site with your "facts." How such is relevant to our posting videos regarding Mormonism for those leaving Mormonism, still remains to be seen.
Yo debunked what? What facts did you provide? You stated we didn't make videos about all the other relgions and THAT's a fact? Hardy dude. This video was made about people who leave the Mormon church because that is OUR religion, that WE came from. The Moonies, the Catholics, etc can make their own video about their own experience in THIER church. We don't have any way to convey those feelings, as they aren't our experience. Perspective, bud, perspective....not that hard to figure out
I spent 20+ years in that torture device known as the LDS Church. Never served a mission, and I'm glad I didn't. I had other more important things to do at that age.
When I finally learned about the theory of evolution in depth is when I decided the church was a fraud as it went against everything I knew to be scientifically factual. This also led me to reject religion as a whole. I am an ex-Mormon atheist.
I see a common thread here: people talk about their long genealogy in the church: it is really a point without purpose. Much of Adam's children also left the faith: did that make him any less respectable in God's eyes?
Many people leave the LDS faith, but guess what? Many more than that join: and why do they join? They have taken the Holy Spirit as their guide who has confirmed to them that this is good, that it is true and while we may not understand everything, it is of God.
Actually, 90% of converts become inactive within the first year and never bother to resign from the church. 66% of the "membership" is inactive. Resigned (name removed) members are still counted as members to inflate their numbers. All of these are deceitful practices of the LDS cult.
Well, what religion isn't bogus. God = figment of the imagination. Science proves religion a fraud on so many levels. Evolution is a scientific fact. Earth is 4.6 billion years old (not 6,000).
Medical science has proven that there are some health benefits to drinking alcohol in a moderated way(most notably for the heart). Tea and coffee also have their own health benefits. DNA evidence proves that Native Americans were Mongols, NOT Jews/Middle Easterners.
No true intellectual can believe in God much less the LDS religion.
I respect your decision to be an atheist. Science has "proven" I am a direct descendant of monkies & has also permitted highly dangerous and deadly prescription drugs on the market. Science is not all knowing or all powerful: by it's very nature, science assumes that what we know today will be incorrect tomorrow (or next year, next decade etc.) b/c knowledge grows & expands)
Your lack of knowledge on the theory of evolution is painfully sickening. The TOE does NOT say that humans are a direct descendent of monkeys. Rather, we shared a common ancestor with monkeys. Monkies are as much a modern mammal as we are. You can't expect to look at monkeys and see your ancestors.
Well, your "God" is not all loving or all compassionate either, so I guess it's a tie?
You are right about science not knowing all the answers, and it never makes those claims. However your absurd religion touts itself as the great universal truth, with ALL of the answers. Funny how our understanding of science continues to disprove Mormon claims instead of validating them. The more we understand, the worse it becomes for the Mormons, not better. How could this be? How could the Mormon god be so spectacularly wrong on so many things? Chalk it up to him being a progressing god?
The LDS church has never made the claim that we understand all of the mysteries of everything....you are mistaken
You have accused me of picking and choosing what I wish to believe: are you now not engaging in the same? Science has proved beyond any doubt that smoking is bad for you, coffee is addictive and alcohol causes far more pain than good.
Sociology has also confirmed that the best place for a child is a home with one dad and one mom: something, as you know, we have taught.
So now the great claim of Mormon prophetic ability is that they knew about smoking? How about the folks who were starting the temperance movement at the same time Smith invented the WoW? Perhaps they too were inspired? Their pledges contained the same items as the WoW, and even more. Funny how Smith smoked, drank and refused to live this so called law of heavenly health. Families are proof of Mormonism as well? Don't let the Catholics know. Please research, your defense is absurd.
Your "research" is one liners from the JoD that you couldn't reconcile. My proof is grand, societal improvements: ones that you are choosing to ignore. Is it possible for someone in your position to even admit there is something decent about Mormonism?
Moderate alcohol consumption has no positive effect on health - contrary to a number of studies - while heavy drinking doubles men's chances of dying from a stroke, research has found.
Professor George Davey Smith, of the department of social medicine at Bristol University,
"We didn't find any benefit or any harm in low-level regular drinking,"
"What we did find was that people who were drinking most had more than twice the mortality from stroke, which is not an inconsiderable effect."
Such studies are in the minority. I'll go with the overwhelming majority of studies which backs the health benefits of alcohol.
I have doctors like Robert Kowalski, Stanton Peele, the entire staff at MayoClinic, and my own cardiologist (who recommended I take up drinking for my heart) on my side of this debate.
You are correct, however you choosing to ignore their findings to stick with your opinion. Fact is, society would be a much better place with 0 alcohol consumption. The harms it does to society far outweigh any benefits. You neglect to mention in your research that many become addicted to alcohol: what are the benefits then??
People become addicted to food, what's your point? People become addicted to painkillers, what's your point?
You know what this world would be better off without don't you? RELIGION. Religion is the #1 cause of war in this world. It also prevents the advancement of science. Society would be a much better place if it were purely atheistic.
*The Bible demands the death penalty for sabbath-breakers, homosexuals, non-believers, disobedient children, adulterers/adulteresses, your brother who entices you to serve other gods.
*The Bible is demeaning to women.
*The Bible promotes slavery.
*The Bible demands that the genitals of baby boys be mutilated at 8 days of age.
Your position is not logical. People need food to survive. Alcohol is not required for survival. Again, the facts do not balance the argument in your favor: alcohol abuse costs the world tens of billions of dollars.
The world does need increased spirituality: I agree that some brands of religion are harmful.
Correction: ALL BRANDS of religion are harmful. Whatever religion you subscribe to, I don't care, that religion's deity is an exclusive, sadistic, sick little bastard that does not deserve to be worshipped, but rather hated. That includes YOUR DEITY.
I do take it up with Evangelicals too. I'm the only atheist in a primary Church of Christ town. I take them to town on it. I also take a lot of Muslims to town on the atrocities of the Qur'an. I don't pick on just MORmONS.
"Much of Adam's children also left the faith" I know you're for real, because we also once believed such nonsense. Have you even cracked a book before dealing with human development, archeology, geology, biology? Your claims are absurd, yet you steam full speed ahead in ignorance of the world around you. There is no magic dear Mormon, none. Please do some research. Coming here in defense of your faith just shows how ignorant you are in relation to reality. Please, please research.
If you have the truth, then such would be self evident. Why are we not debating about gravity? Because the truth shows us that such exists. Why are we not debating about the Earth being a sphere? Because the truth has shown us that such is the case. There is no debate about these issue because the truth is self-evident. Only members of the Flat Earth Society are still debating about the Earth's shape. Through the long process of evaluation and observation we have been able to establish truth.
And guess what, feelings have nothing to do with it. We know the Sun produces its own light and energy through the process of nuclear fission. The Sun does not get its light from Kolob as stated in the BoA. This simple fact is one in a long line of many truths which show Mormonism to be in error. Smith was charismatic, and one helluva story teller, but his prophetic mantle seer abilities were nil. Truth really matters, even when we want to believe something else, truth really counts.
We exmormons did not leave your church because we were offended or sinning or whatever nonsensical, thought stopping insult of choice is hurled our way. We cared, we served, we wanted it to be true, & the great offense came when we realized that Mormonism could not be defended. We agonized trying to make it all fit, when everything continually showed us that our belief was in error. This was not an easy thing, yet once we crossed our Rubicon, we knew there was no turning back to the fantasy.
So yes, we are trying to show you and others that there is more to the story, much more than the pretty vision of eternal families and ward cookouts. We love Mormons, but we loathe the lies, deceptions and absurdities which are embraced and taught. We want to raise our voice of warning so that both Mormon and non Mormon will investigate and see if the claims of Mormonism are real or mere fabrication. There is never a need to lie, cover-up, obfuscate and deny. You deserve better than Mormonism.
its a great time to be a latter day saint. Never before has there been so many blessings available to the saints. Ask your local lds missionary for help. They bring the spirit of Christ with them.
What spirit would that be? The same one who told Smith to bed 14 year old girls and other men's wives? The same spirit which told Smith to lie and cover up his actions? The same spirit which commanded LDS Inc. to build the billion dollar mall instead of helping the poor? The same spirit which says the Sun gets its light from Kolob? The same spirit which says that blacks are inferior to whites & that Amerindians are descended from a loathsome, filthy race?
Its not like you still do not have the ability to feel it from time to time, every now and again? As you continue to progress in your life and as you age. Mark my words brother. You will return. You cant hide from the truth forever. No matter how much you would like to.
"You can't hide from the truth forever" Please, please take your own advice!
We know you believe, and as we pat you on the head and send you on your way, know that you have our thanks for sharing your testimony. If only you would pull your head out long enough to check that certainty of yours.
So again I ask you then. If you have really left Christ. Then why are we even having this conversation. You haven't left. Your still in this moral conendrum and your not sure which side to be on. Fact you say you find to back up your decisions to wavier from God? Sounds to me like maybe someone did not want to do the work so they blamed the boss.
Let's just cut to the chase, you know you want to do it. Stand up from the keyboard, raise your arm to the square, recite the magical words & rebuke us & our un-holy efforts. Come on, please? The godless heathen must be shown his error & you're just the righteous solider to do it. Come on, well at least dust your feet electronically or something.
Again, thanks for stopping by with your testimony. Its also nice to note that your Mormon mind-reading ability is well honed & serves you well.
Heres it is then. I am fascinated by what drives people to become like you. I call it the Sandra Turner syndrome. Is it like being the preachers daughter? I just dont understand that is all. I am trying my best to enlighten myself on apostate preachers. But I am just not seeing it yet. I am a man that has felt extreme amounts of pain and abuse in my life. And often times have not had the support of the church behind me. But what event could make me turn into you? I dont understand it thats all
You're right, sadly you don't understand. Your desire to believe leaves you in a morally and ethically ambiguous world where adultery, deception, child abuse & even murder can all be rationalized away with a dash of the holy ghost & a hint of denial. It all depends on the voices in your head or feelings right?
Truth, ethics, evidence & reality mean nothing to you if they conflict with your belief in Mormonism. Until truth matters more than believing, your lack of understanding will continue.
I understand each and every act the church ever made. If fact based on my understanding and constant study of history I would say I understand it alot more than most do. But what I dont understand is how someone becomes like you. And why the constant dodge and weave when ever I ask someone about why they left the church. What is so shameful that they won't even talk about it. Either that or you were not even in Christs church and your a nut job. Which one is it?
Thanks again for stopping by with your testimony. Your coming here is not about me or any other exmormon, it is about your desire to feel good, safe, and secure in your heart that you've got it all right. Turning a blind eye to the immoral, unethical and outright absurd dealings & doctrines of your founder & leaders shows just how much you really are willing to overlook just to believe. Examine that, it will take you far.
Please keep researching. Truth matters, it really does.
I understand a few things, certainly not everything. But the things that intrege me the most are extreme acts by somewhat, what I would call, fanatical individuals. Such as yourself. I have seen some fanatical Christians before. Some fanatical anti Christians before. But the rare ones such as yourself. The antis that once had a strong beleif in something. Well they to me seem the most torn and twisted. I am hear to better understand people such as yourself. So that I can in some way serve you
So you are saying then that to better serve man I need to stop believeing in God. Stop following his teachings. Stop the charity work, stop helping others find eturnal happiness. And start bashing and disproving organizations that also do these things? Well ok then if you say so. But if you got a better plan than God and you get millions of people to follow you. Thats a big responsiblity on your shoulders bud. Are you ready for that kinda of weight? Can you deal with the results?
Whoever said anything about leaving God? Your Mormon mind reading is not serving you well. However your certainty is most definitely a hindrance.
Seeking truth & accepting such should be the quest of every human being. You have crawled into the Mormon box, and have convinced yourself that there is nothing more than what is contained therein.
Stop defending the absurd. Investigate, explore, and change.
Your religion is a fraud, a damnable, contemptible fraud, yet you blind yourself to this.
Just remember, you're talking again about that religious organization that was started by a guy who used a rock in his hat to get messages from God. Okay, yes, good luck with that. You've got your work cut out for you.
Just keep stopping by to convince yourself how true it all is. Keep doing the internal reinforcement to quiet the secret fear. Keep telling yourself that everyone is wrong, and you just happened to get it right.
Please watch the "Lying for the Lord" videos next.
Investigating the church. I cant find on reason it is not the lords true church? Not one! Sure its not perfect. Sure everyone loves a conspiracy and our past does have a few marks on it. But that is still no reason to not believe its true. Its a perfect church with imperfect people in it. People just like you and I. You didnt quit because of your discoverys. They were great reasoning tools after the fact. To defend your own ego. So how many family members did you lose. Is she remarried?
Blind? to God. How so? damnable? Helping others, doing charitiable works, following the teachings of Christ? Damnable? How so? I think maybe you have ego and pride confused with humility and love. Could this be the case? And why oh why do you avoid my questions? I really am doing my best to understand you. Listen I am making changes in my life on an eturnal scale. Like I never have before. Christ has brought about more change in the last few years of my life then in its entirety. I spent 20years
You just don't get it I'm afraid. You are trying to use every Mormon mind trick you know, yet you refuse to see the foolish position you are taking. You willingly turn a blind eye to lies, deceptions and outrageous absurdities in order to believe. If you had the truth, then such would be self evident and would not require apologetics, spin and your ham-fisted attempts in mind reading. It would simply be true.
As I said before, you live in a world of ethical ambiguity. You have rationalized deceit, lies and even murder for the sake of your belief. You willingly embrace complete absurdity in order to believe in a farce. This is not healthy, but it is the hallmark of the fanatic. Since you are so comitted to truth, let's see how you measure up shall we?
1. Does the Sun get its light from Kolob?
2. Was there a world wide flood as taught by your religion?
These are but a few of the many examples which show that your belief is absurd and nothing more than the imaginings of a con man. But I have no doubt that you'll believe it all nonetheless. You won't let something like, fact or logic or reason get in the way of a good testimony. And ethics? Forget it, as long as you can mentally exonerate Smith from his adultery, child abuse, law breaking etc. then all is swell in Zion.
Its as well as you would like to make of it brother. Smith was a man. Not perfect, not a God, a man. A man Christ thought worthy enough to show himself to and restore the fullness of the Gospel. I notice you attack men alot. But you have said nothing about the fully restored gospel. To intimite for you maybe? Say whatever you would like about Smith. Truth is that was 200 years ago. Do you really know what happened? I didnt think so. But nauvoo is wonderful place to start. Ever been there?
I can't beleive that you are still talking about the flood.
And when they violated the area around the Valey of the white mare beneath the seat of the high Kings of
Tara they found an enormous wood-henge that records the movements of the star Sirius. The people in Mali also believe Sirius to be important but not Sirius itself, but its nearest star, called Serius 2.
Joseph Smith employed a Kaballist to teach him Hebrew or use in understanding the bible.
Perhaps it is due to my "fallen" state or present lack of the constant companionship of the Mormon Holy Ghost, but what exactly is it that you are trying to convey? Are the meds running low?
Anyway, using the example of the flood shows that Mormonism has no more enlightenment nor revelation than any other fantasy cult started by any number of snake oil salesmen & backwoods charlatans. It's quite simple really, you can even do your own research on the subject, why not go here: mormon think d o t c o m and click on the "conflicts with science" section. It disturbs you enough for you to keep coming back here to show us how shifting ones paradigm is the key to keep Mormonism real.
Strange questions you ask? But Ill do my best to answer them. 1. Orgin of all things in the Universe.one place The big bang. Possibly a place called Kolob perhaps in that since it might. I'm not sure. 2: yes I believe the bible and I am quite sure Noah was telling the truth. Even being the drunk he was. I believe there was a flood. 3: I can not answer that one because I am not sure. I know that the oldest carbon dating ever found was in Africa. So scientifically no africa birth place of civilaz
I appreciate your honesty in these answers, as many Mormons try and lie their way out of these. Mormon cosmology teaches that the universe is eternal and did not have a beginning. However, the scientific evidence shows us clearly that the universe did have a beginning and may one day have an end, hence the theory of the Big Bang. This observation is one more evidence against the truth claims of Mormonism.
As far as the flood is concerned, the evidence clearly shows that this did not occur. There is simply no way that the global deluge was possible when you take into account the volume of water, the lack of geologic evidence and the devastating effect such would have on the Earth's many eco-systems. Please research further on this. As this too is a truth claim of Mormonism which is in direct conflict with overwhelming evidence, the S.S. Mormonism sinks a little further.
As to the origin of our species, you are right about Africa, and the reason why we know this is because the evidence is overwhelming that our species took form, development etc. in Africa, not in Jackson County Missouri as taught by Mormonism. We also estimate that our species lived for approximately 40K years prior to our egress to the Fertile Crecent where civilization began. This evidence too shows the claims of Smith and his Missouri man origins to be serious conflict with truth.
This is why I asked those questions, because they are important, they matter & they have a direct implication regarding the veracity of the claims of Smith's religion. The more we learn through our various methods, Mormonism continues to retreat from the evidence which shows the claims to be in error. This is why I say over and over that truth matters, it is not subjective or something we can turn from when it suits us. It is vital for our understanding and development. Please research.
I think you maybe be believeing things that most mormons don't. But again its your right to believe any thing you would like to. And for the record Jackson is the end. Not the beginning.
Again. All my life studied the church never once hurd such a claim. And I am talking over 30 years now. And i have been to every place where the mormons ever settled to study their history. Its an amazing history
Lol. So how do you explain then that the dead sea was once dry land. Scientific fact. and the discovery of aquactic life found in almost all mountain ranges now in Europe. Did man put those fossils there? So you are disputing all Christianity then not just mormons I suppose?
I think its just fine for people to leave the Church if its causing you pain. I think that God is very forgiving
and understands us better than we do. If your family is conservative in their interpretation you may not even realize that there are Mormons who embrace
the complexity that your familiy or missionaries could not be open to. See stillsmall voice's YouTube Nibley collection. My best friend joined the church. I said I loved her and had no opinion as long as no one blamed it on me.
Well, the Mormon Church does teach that the flood was a world wide event, not the localized event as you have described above. I know this is a popular approach now by Mormons to distance themselves from what is clearly absurd, but then that has been the modus operandi all along in Mormonism.
Lol. you know i grew up in a halve mormon home. So you could say I have been around the church my entire life. I never once heard such a claim. Mormon cosmology? Come on now are you making this stuff up?
I have only been in the church for about a year so. Every mormon mind trick I know. how many mind tricks do you think one can learn in a year? As far a truth. Well truth is subject to the believer. I can only attest for what works. As far as what is true or not. well thats in my heart. I love sharing whats in my heart. For the purpose that it may somehow better serve mankind or just 1 man. Why do you share what is in your heart?. Do you really intend to help me. Or do you want me to shareytruth?
This is all just a bunch of lyes. If u wnt to no th tru about gawd's one true church, ask the missionarys.Y do u prosecute us? This jus pruvs its relly trueDo u lik litle boys?

The vitriol expressed by Canadian Bacon just validates why Exmormon Foundation is necessary. The hatred and anger and vitriol that Bacon expresses explains why it is so painful to leave the LDS, and serves as a warning to others to beware.
Amen Bro. There's an angry Danite under those bits a bacon. Have you noticed the young LDS members that regularly post? They are easy to spot by the text messaging format or mIsspellEd wurds. One younger LDS member told me that God and Jesus are both mormons and I better get a bandaid to repair what he was going to do to my butt. He must have been a deacon.
If Joseph SmYth had been a true prophet, he would have told his followers that they could save a ton of money on their car insurance by switching to GEICO!!

Why do I never hear of ex-Catholics or ex-Jews telling the world the truth about their "false" churches? Strange that the LDS faith has so much more "truth" telling than any other church it seems. So the LDS church is false? SO WHAT? Go create or find your own religion and promote it. Negativity and hatred is not the right way to go about it.
Perhaps you are not listening to the right sources. Also, it may be that LDS is particularly prone to inspiring people who feel they have been used, misled, or abused by the religion they trusted, to "warn his neighbor".
... I get it. Your question was a rhetorical device. You were not curious, merely standing on a soap-box. Well, in that vein, one must have thin skin to perceive honesty as invective. Furthermore, the suggestion to create your own religion is only a narcissist's dream.

Being an english major doesn't make you right, more often than not it just makes you smug. So spare me the philosophical Fraudian windbag routine. As far as vituperation goes, there is plenty of underlying invective in the video

What is the point of this video? The inclusion of notorious anti-mormon Sandra Tanner, and making it seem like she is just a typical case of being caught up in Mormonism is preposterous, and typically dishonest.
at least we allow you to post your comments on our videos... while all of your pro mormon videos have the comments disabled. It's all about information control with you people.
I don't go around poking fun at evangelical, catholic, or any other denomination's videos, just ex-Mormons bashing the church. If you want to belittle a video about Temples, find someone else, there is plenty to go around.
You seem AGAIN to be confused about what is going on in the world around you. EXPOSING the truth about something is NOT synonymous with bashing it. It's just telling the truth. That truth hurts a little huh?
nope. You're not making an ounce of sense. But... you still believe in the divinity of joseph smith, the adam as god, blood atonement, stones in a hat, polygamy, quakers on the moon, giving your tithing to the prophets so they can use it for personal gain, etc... should I expect any more from you? I think not.
canadianbacon007, here is an idea "don't go around poking fun". Also, give up on your obsession with seeing every attempt at sincere communication by "ex-Mormons" as "bashing the church".

I can't begin to tell you how ridiculous that statement is, when all those exmos do in this video is imply all their woes were a result of Mormon missionaires. Give the innocent ex Mormons "trying to communicate" nauseating routine a rest. It's clearly propaganda posted in a very public forum.
Sandra Tanner is now notorious? Anti-mormon? Perhaps you should talk to her. My experience is that she is a nice, sincere woman minding her own business. She has spent much of her life researching and teaching. Undoubtedly she has endured plenty of ill-informed, un-Christian attacks, but she is still there, doing what she believes is right.

Anti-mormon? Perhaps you should talk to her. My experience is that she is a nice, sincere woman minding her own business" Sandra Tanner is a vindictive harpie. "Undoubtedly she has endured plenty of ill-informed, un-Christian attacks, but she is still there, doing what she believes is right." That's hysterical. The attacker having to take some flak. Cry me a river. These double standards are beyond belief.
The truth of Mormonism surfaces daily, just like HOW lies always find a way to BITE you in the FLABBY CHEEKS.
You always have these Apologetic Mormons twisting what is said or the roots of it. My sympathy goes out to those that find there way out of Mormonism. To find out the truth and a realization that what you were taught to believe is false can really cause one to JUDGE ones own self.
Thank you for putting these stories out there. As a fo-mo, it's nice to see others who have made it out in one piece and with their sanity intact. I am far more at peace now that I am no longer LDS, than I EVER was when I was in it.
thank you for posting these videos. folks need to be educated about the mormon organization,,, and about the victimization of its "sons of perdition" by their own. may you find peace.
watch LDS conferences or BYU devotionals and listen to your chessy GA's reel off their pathetic MORmON credentials, your complaint here is so WEAK. I could excerpt video clips of exactly what I am talking about, but then you would howl about copyright concerns, while you post the same basic video at your site. then you will call exmormons "whores" and "phonies". you are a true MORmON!
hey osmiolos, do that FEZomiolo thing where you lash out and call all of your opposition "whores", like you did at my site. it was so MORmON! so totally Joe Smith style ala pervert Joe's Book of MORmON.
I will get that posted as a video response here. It was awesome. MORmON!

"Is that how you rationalize it? "
oh, I grew up around some of these people in this video. Read the BOM story of the Rameumpton and tell me how Joseph Smith knew what these APOSTATES would say?
The story of Remeumpton makes an absolute mockery of the honest, sincere people that have walked away from Mormonism in order to keep their integrity in check. Rather than immediately assume Ex-Mormons are possessed by Satan, why not ask one, SINCERELY, why they've chosen to leave the church? You might be surprised.
My ex-husband was an ex-mormon. That had nothing to do with the divorce. Nor did it bother me particularly. We had a common background and that was a plus as far as the marriage went. He seems to have mellowed when his daughter began to ask her grandparents and Great GGrandparents lots of questions. They got tired of answer in them and said "Go ask your father." Almost 2000, the goofs decided to get rooms in Short Creek for New Years, so she could see what her ancestors were like.
osmiolos How come the Jehovahs Witnesses CULT of New York HQ Leaders teach their members to say exactly the same thing about those who leave their church when they find out they have been deceived, manipulated and lied to?
Similarly what do the Moonies call those who leave their Cult who's leader claimed he spoke with Christ?
Proud APOSTATE here. Oh yeah, I also deny the holy ghost. HA! You know why I can do this without being struck down like I was told would happen? BECAUSE IT'S FICTION! lol.
I joked about boobies on my homepage... but you are just fixating man! Get a set of silicon ones for yourself and you may feel less antsy about it. Let's talk about your problem. When did you first find you were obsessed with boobies and why did you feel it was wrong?
really care that puny little you denied him. Hitler,
Hirohito, The Roman Ceasers, etc.. Committed this crime.. My opinion anyway. I "left the Church because a very sliimy dentist/bishop was interfering with my mrfical treatment in a way that eventually
caused me to lose a kidney. Strictly an evasive
manuever. I think the creator gave every creature
the will to survive, and I don't care, really, about my church records. Don't feel non-Mormon.
i liked this series of videos. i know it's hard for lds members to see this and feel like they're being bashed on or attacked... but, from a neutral standpoint. these videos just seemed to come off as telling their stories. not that they were hateful or holding a grudge, but that they once lived a certain lifestyle, found information that changed their minds, and now they don't (just like it happens vice versa)... great job on the video.

How's the research coming along, you know, the research which validates your religious claims through verifiable evidence, facts etc.? It's a monumental task, but I'm sure you can make it happen. Let me summarize your method:
1. Believe absurdities
2. Mentally confirm such with confabulation and emotional bias
3. Ignore everything which disproves 1 and 2.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
This is a much easier way than research, facts and investigation. Just claiming something as true has always been a faster way than that silly process of objective research with a firm commitment to truth & factual reality.
Your method has been employed for centuries, but you'll have to excuse my lack of faith in your method as the results have often proven themselves disastrous for humanity.
Hmmm, perhaps there is another way? The scientific method perhaps? Nah, just stick with steps 1-3.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
You must be kidding. Damage far outweighs blessings of belonging to the LDS Cult.
Only the gullible would believe 19 year old missionaries when evidence and proof of the fraud is easily found all over the internet.
It must be a slow day for Marco, as he posts again to entertain us with his delusions.
SkeptikToo 2 years ago
Is it entertainment or is it agony? See for most of you knowing that there still are good people that are achieving what you failed at. It is often quite painful. Knowing that your chasing a dream and were still living the dream. It can build a lot of resentment. Even make you believe things you know are wrong. Hoping that someday you might be justified in your actions. The damage most of you have done to yourself is un reversible but you still might be able to do something postive with you life
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
Oh, it's definitely entertainment, LOL. I couldn't agree with you more that you are living in a dream world. And you are correct that many good people in your Cult do believe things that are wrong.
My positive efforts help far more people than your Fraud. I've helped 3 times the people out of the church than I got in, because Truth needs no justification. I'm the success, you are the failure.
Poor Marco; we can leave the Cult, but he can't leave us alone. His doubts must cause his dissonance.
SkeptikToo 2 years ago
But you havent really left have you? I mean when I find our something doesn't work or its not true. I leave it alone and don't look back. I dont spend the rest of my life trying to justify my actions. I don't spend one more min of my time building up armies or throwing pity parties about my decisions. Things that don't work or are not true. Collapse on themselves. They dont grow into the richest and most successful religion in America. Now how is that a failure? Results don't lie.
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
So your testimony is based on the Mormon bank account? And just how do you know what the financial standing of the Mormon Church actually is due to their lack of financial disclosure? The Mormon Church has been in serious financial trouble many, many times, almost insolvent in the 60's. It must be all that divine guidance.
"Things that don't work or are not true. Collapse on themselves." Well the JW's must be true, North Korea must be true. Where in the hell did you learn to reason?
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
"Knowing that your chasing a dream and were still living the dream."
Ya, you're living the dream alright. LOL!
You can't be for real. I think you're having us on.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Oh, one more thing, I think it would be wise for you to research what other cults similar to Mormonism have achieved in their financial standings as well. Take the "Moonies" for example. Very rich, very connected and very much a cult. But I guess they too are "true", right? LOL!
Oh wait, I know, they are Satan's counterfeit to deceive and lead people away from the real 'true" church. I'm sure that's how you rationalize it too. We did. It couldn't be a sham like all the rest right? Nah.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
So you think resigning means I haven't left? :-) My acknowledgment from the Cult says otherwise, so you better let Tommy Monson know, LOL.
You are such a fine example of leaving alone what doesn't work for you. You don't spend one more minute of your time justifying your actions, here and everywhere else I see you posting on the internet, LOL. You must be obsessive-compulsive in defense of your Fraud.
The richest and most successful religion in America is the Catholic church... continued
SkeptikToo 2 years ago

Not much to stand against now there is it.
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
SkeptikToo 2 years ago
The best and brightest are leaving the Cult, while those remaining are the mental pygmies like Marco who refuse to read and learn, but assure themselves that they have "all Truth" (TM) while demonstrating they know nothing but the party line.

I myself left for 15 years. It took me that long to realize that I was the one with the problem. Not Christ. I used to be you skeptik. Exactly to a T. How many years have you been away now and how many more years until your return?
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
Marco, you can't un-ring a bell. You can't make the absurdities of Mormon doctrine go away once they are known and understood. That would be like going back to kindergarten following your graduation from university. Perhaps your reasons for returning had nothing to do with Mormonism, and everything to do with community, belonging and acceptance.
Whatever it was, it does not change Mormon history, doctrine etc. It is simply not what it claims to be.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
only those that have failed at life and look to place blame see it that way.

I am an ex-Mormon atheist.
bagpiper2005 2 years ago
I see a common thread here: people talk about their long genealogy in the church: it is really a point without purpose. Much of Adam's children also left the faith: did that make him any less respectable in God's eyes?
Many people leave the LDS faith, but guess what? Many more than that join: and why do they join? They have taken the Holy Spirit as their guide who has confirmed to them that this is good, that it is true and while we may not understand everything, it is of God.
djwright44 2 years ago
Actually, 90% of converts become inactive within the first year and never bother to resign from the church. 66% of the "membership" is inactive. Resigned (name removed) members are still counted as members to inflate their numbers. All of these are deceitful practices of the LDS cult.
Well, what religion isn't bogus. God = figment of the imagination. Science proves religion a fraud on so many levels. Evolution is a scientific fact. Earth is 4.6 billion years old (not 6,000).
bagpiper2005 2 years ago
Medical science has proven that there are some health benefits to drinking alcohol in a moderated way(most notably for the heart). Tea and coffee also have their own health benefits. DNA evidence proves that Native Americans were Mongols, NOT Jews/Middle Easterners.
No true intellectual can believe in God much less the LDS religion.
bagpiper2005 2 years ago
I respect your decision to be an atheist. Science has "proven" I am a direct descendant of monkies & has also permitted highly dangerous and deadly prescription drugs on the market. Science is not all knowing or all powerful: by it's very nature, science assumes that what we know today will be incorrect tomorrow (or next year, next decade etc.) b/c knowledge grows & expands)
djwright44 2 years ago
Your lack of knowledge on the theory of evolution is painfully sickening. The TOE does NOT say that humans are a direct descendent of monkeys. Rather, we shared a common ancestor with monkeys. Monkies are as much a modern mammal as we are. You can't expect to look at monkeys and see your ancestors.
Well, your "God" is not all loving or all compassionate either, so I guess it's a tie?
bagpiper2005 2 years ago
Fair enough: we'll call it a draw. I cannot understand everything looking through "Mormon" eyes, nor can you with science.
We are both fellow travellers on an interesting journey and I wish you success.
djwright44 2 years ago
You are right about science not knowing all the answers, and it never makes those claims. However your absurd religion touts itself as the great universal truth, with ALL of the answers. Funny how our understanding of science continues to disprove Mormon claims instead of validating them. The more we understand, the worse it becomes for the Mormons, not better. How could this be? How could the Mormon god be so spectacularly wrong on so many things? Chalk it up to him being a progressing god?
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
The LDS church has never made the claim that we understand all of the mysteries of everything....you are mistaken
You have accused me of picking and choosing what I wish to believe: are you now not engaging in the same? Science has proved beyond any doubt that smoking is bad for you, coffee is addictive and alcohol causes far more pain than good.
Sociology has also confirmed that the best place for a child is a home with one dad and one mom: something, as you know, we have taught.
djwright44 2 years ago
So now the great claim of Mormon prophetic ability is that they knew about smoking? How about the folks who were starting the temperance movement at the same time Smith invented the WoW? Perhaps they too were inspired? Their pledges contained the same items as the WoW, and even more. Funny how Smith smoked, drank and refused to live this so called law of heavenly health. Families are proof of Mormonism as well? Don't let the Catholics know. Please research, your defense is absurd.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Your "research" is one liners from the JoD that you couldn't reconcile. My proof is grand, societal improvements: ones that you are choosing to ignore. Is it possible for someone in your position to even admit there is something decent about Mormonism?

The benefits of a moderated intake of alcohol:
*Reduction in risk of heart disease by 40%
*Reduction of the risk of heart attack and stroke
*Reduction of the risk of developing hypertension
*Improves cognitive function
*Staves off dementia in old age
*Reduces mortality risk during a heart attack
*Causes a temporary drop of blood pressure
*Increases HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol)
bagpiper2005 2 years ago
Moderate alcohol consumption has no positive effect on health - contrary to a number of studies - while heavy drinking doubles men's chances of dying from a stroke, research has found.
Professor George Davey Smith, of the department of social medicine at Bristol University,
"We didn't find any benefit or any harm in low-level regular drinking,"
"What we did find was that people who were drinking most had more than twice the mortality from stroke, which is not an inconsiderable effect."
djwright44 2 years ago
Such studies are in the minority. I'll go with the overwhelming majority of studies which backs the health benefits of alcohol.
I have doctors like Robert Kowalski, Stanton Peele, the entire staff at MayoClinic, and my own cardiologist (who recommended I take up drinking for my heart) on my side of this debate.
bagpiper2005 2 years ago
You are correct, however you choosing to ignore their findings to stick with your opinion. Fact is, society would be a much better place with 0 alcohol consumption. The harms it does to society far outweigh any benefits. You neglect to mention in your research that many become addicted to alcohol: what are the benefits then??
djwright44 2 years ago
People become addicted to food, what's your point? People become addicted to painkillers, what's your point?
You know what this world would be better off without don't you? RELIGION. Religion is the #1 cause of war in this world. It also prevents the advancement of science. Society would be a much better place if it were purely atheistic.
bagpiper2005 2 years ago
Some of the repulsion within the Bible:
*The Bible demands the death penalty for sabbath-breakers, homosexuals, non-believers, disobedient children, adulterers/adulteresses, your brother who entices you to serve other gods.
*The Bible is demeaning to women.
*The Bible promotes slavery.
*The Bible demands that the genitals of baby boys be mutilated at 8 days of age.
bagpiper2005 2 years ago
You'll need to take that to the Evangelicals who accept the Bible as infallible. I reject lots in the Bible, especially what you post above.
djwright44 2 years ago
Your position is not logical. People need food to survive. Alcohol is not required for survival. Again, the facts do not balance the argument in your favor: alcohol abuse costs the world tens of billions of dollars.
The world does need increased spirituality: I agree that some brands of religion are harmful.
djwright44 2 years ago
Correction: ALL BRANDS of religion are harmful. Whatever religion you subscribe to, I don't care, that religion's deity is an exclusive, sadistic, sick little bastard that does not deserve to be worshipped, but rather hated. That includes YOUR DEITY.
I do take it up with Evangelicals too. I'm the only atheist in a primary Church of Christ town. I take them to town on it. I also take a lot of Muslims to town on the atrocities of the Qur'an. I don't pick on just MORmONS.
bagpiper2005 2 years ago

If you have the truth, then such would be self evident. Why are we not debating about gravity? Because the truth shows us that such exists. Why are we not debating about the Earth being a sphere? Because the truth has shown us that such is the case. There is no debate about these issue because the truth is self-evident. Only members of the Flat Earth Society are still debating about the Earth's shape. Through the long process of evaluation and observation we have been able to establish truth.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
And guess what, feelings have nothing to do with it. We know the Sun produces its own light and energy through the process of nuclear fission. The Sun does not get its light from Kolob as stated in the BoA. This simple fact is one in a long line of many truths which show Mormonism to be in error. Smith was charismatic, and one helluva story teller, but his prophetic mantle seer abilities were nil. Truth really matters, even when we want to believe something else, truth really counts.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
We exmormons did not leave your church because we were offended or sinning or whatever nonsensical, thought stopping insult of choice is hurled our way. We cared, we served, we wanted it to be true, & the great offense came when we realized that Mormonism could not be defended. We agonized trying to make it all fit, when everything continually showed us that our belief was in error. This was not an easy thing, yet once we crossed our Rubicon, we knew there was no turning back to the fantasy.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago

You can keep your spirit thank you.

Its not like you still do not have the ability to feel it from time to time, every now and again? As you continue to progress in your life and as you age. Mark my words brother. You will return. You cant hide from the truth forever. No matter how much you would like to.
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
"You can't hide from the truth forever" Please, please take your own advice!

So again I ask you then. If you have really left Christ. Then why are we even having this conversation. You haven't left. Your still in this moral conendrum and your not sure which side to be on. Fact you say you find to back up your decisions to wavier from God? Sounds to me like maybe someone did not want to do the work so they blamed the boss.
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
Let's just cut to the chase, you know you want to do it. Stand up from the keyboard, raise your arm to the square, recite the magical words & rebuke us & our un-holy efforts. Come on, please? The godless heathen must be shown his error & you're just the righteous solider to do it. Come on, well at least dust your feet electronically or something.
Again, thanks for stopping by with your testimony. Its also nice to note that your Mormon mind-reading ability is well honed & serves you well.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Heres it is then. I am fascinated by what drives people to become like you. I call it the Sandra Turner syndrome. Is it like being the preachers daughter? I just dont understand that is all. I am trying my best to enlighten myself on apostate preachers. But I am just not seeing it yet. I am a man that has felt extreme amounts of pain and abuse in my life. And often times have not had the support of the church behind me. But what event could make me turn into you? I dont understand it thats all
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
You're right, sadly you don't understand. Your desire to believe leaves you in a morally and ethically ambiguous world where adultery, deception, child abuse & even murder can all be rationalized away with a dash of the holy ghost & a hint of denial. It all depends on the voices in your head or feelings right?
Truth, ethics, evidence & reality mean nothing to you if they conflict with your belief in Mormonism. Until truth matters more than believing, your lack of understanding will continue.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
I understand each and every act the church ever made. If fact based on my understanding and constant study of history I would say I understand it alot more than most do. But what I dont understand is how someone becomes like you. And why the constant dodge and weave when ever I ask someone about why they left the church. What is so shameful that they won't even talk about it. Either that or you were not even in Christs church and your a nut job. Which one is it?
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
Thanks again for stopping by with your testimony. Your coming here is not about me or any other exmormon, it is about your desire to feel good, safe, and secure in your heart that you've got it all right. Turning a blind eye to the immoral, unethical and outright absurd dealings & doctrines of your founder & leaders shows just how much you really are willing to overlook just to believe. Examine that, it will take you far.
Please keep researching. Truth matters, it really does.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
I understand a few things, certainly not everything. But the things that intrege me the most are extreme acts by somewhat, what I would call, fanatical individuals. Such as yourself. I have seen some fanatical Christians before. Some fanatical anti Christians before. But the rare ones such as yourself. The antis that once had a strong beleif in something. Well they to me seem the most torn and twisted. I am hear to better understand people such as yourself. So that I can in some way serve you
marcopolo8765 2 years ago

Keep researching. Get off of your high horse and begin to examine the ground on which you stand.

Can you deal with the results?
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
Whoever said anything about leaving God? Your Mormon mind reading is not serving you well. However your certainty is most definitely a hindrance.
Seeking truth & accepting such should be the quest of every human being. You have crawled into the Mormon box, and have convinced yourself that there is nothing more than what is contained therein.
Stop defending the absurd. Investigate, explore, and change.
Your religion is a fraud, a damnable, contemptible fraud, yet you blind yourself to this.

Is she remarried?

marcopolo8765 2 years ago
You just don't get it I'm afraid. You are trying to use every Mormon mind trick you know, yet you refuse to see the foolish position you are taking. You willingly turn a blind eye to lies, deceptions and outrageous absurdities in order to believe. If you had the truth, then such would be self evident and would not require apologetics, spin and your ham-fisted attempts in mind reading. It would simply be true.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
As I said before, you live in a world of ethical ambiguity. You have rationalized deceit, lies and even murder for the sake of your belief. You willingly embrace complete absurdity in order to believe in a farce. This is not healthy, but it is the hallmark of the fanatic. Since you are so comitted to truth, let's see how you measure up shall we?
1. Does the Sun get its light from Kolob?
2. Was there a world wide flood as taught by your religion?
3. Did early man originate in Missouri?
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
These are but a few of the many examples which show that your belief is absurd and nothing more than the imaginings of a con man. But I have no doubt that you'll believe it all nonetheless. You won't let something like, fact or logic or reason get in the way of a good testimony. And ethics? Forget it, as long as you can mentally exonerate Smith from his adultery, child abuse, law breaking etc. then all is swell in Zion.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Its as well as you would like to make of it brother. Smith was a man. Not perfect, not a God, a man. A man Christ thought worthy enough to show himself to and restore the fullness of the Gospel. I notice you attack men alot. But you have said nothing about the fully restored gospel. To intimite for you maybe? Say whatever you would like about Smith. Truth is that was 200 years ago. Do you really know what happened? I didnt think so. But nauvoo is wonderful place to start. Ever been there?
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
I can't beleive that you are still talking about the flood.
And when they violated the area around the Valey of the white mare beneath the seat of the high Kings of
Tara they found an enormous wood-henge that records the movements of the star Sirius. The people in Mali also believe Sirius to be important but not Sirius itself, but its nearest star, called Serius 2.
Joseph Smith employed a Kaballist to teach him Hebrew or use in understanding the bible.
DadsBlueAngel 2 years ago
Perhaps it is due to my "fallen" state or present lack of the constant companionship of the Mormon Holy Ghost, but what exactly is it that you are trying to convey? Are the meds running low?
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Anyway, using the example of the flood shows that Mormonism has no more enlightenment nor revelation than any other fantasy cult started by any number of snake oil salesmen & backwoods charlatans. It's quite simple really, you can even do your own research on the subject, why not go here: mormon think d o t c o m and click on the "conflicts with science" section. It disturbs you enough for you to keep coming back here to show us how shifting ones paradigm is the key to keep Mormonism real.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
Strange questions you ask? But Ill do my best to answer them. 1. Orgin of all things in the Universe.one place The big bang. Possibly a place called Kolob perhaps in that since it might. I'm not sure. 2: yes I believe the bible and I am quite sure Noah was telling the truth. Even being the drunk he was. I believe there was a flood. 3: I can not answer that one because I am not sure. I know that the oldest carbon dating ever found was in Africa. So scientifically no africa birth place of civilaz
marcopolo8765 2 years ago
I appreciate your honesty in these answers, as many Mormons try and lie their way out of these. Mormon cosmology teaches that the universe is eternal and did not have a beginning. However, the scientific evidence shows us clearly that the universe did have a beginning and may one day have an end, hence the theory of the Big Bang. This observation is one more evidence against the truth claims of Mormonism.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
As far as the flood is concerned, the evidence clearly shows that this did not occur. There is simply no way that the global deluge was possible when you take into account the volume of water, the lack of geologic evidence and the devastating effect such would have on the Earth's many eco-systems. Please research further on this. As this too is a truth claim of Mormonism which is in direct conflict with overwhelming evidence, the S.S. Mormonism sinks a little further.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
As to the origin of our species, you are right about Africa, and the reason why we know this is because the evidence is overwhelming that our species took form, development etc. in Africa, not in Jackson County Missouri as taught by Mormonism. We also estimate that our species lived for approximately 40K years prior to our egress to the Fertile Crecent where civilization began. This evidence too shows the claims of Smith and his Missouri man origins to be serious conflict with truth.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
This is why I asked those questions, because they are important, they matter & they have a direct implication regarding the veracity of the claims of Smith's religion. The more we learn through our various methods, Mormonism continues to retreat from the evidence which shows the claims to be in error. This is why I say over and over that truth matters, it is not subjective or something we can turn from when it suits us. It is vital for our understanding and development. Please research.
ExmormonFoundation 2 years ago
I think you maybe be believeing things that most mormons don't. But again its your right to believe any thing you would like to. And for the record Jackson is the end. Not the beginning.

marcopolo8765 2 years ago
History did not start 6,000 years ago. And yes I am still Mormon.
DadsBlueAngel 2 years ago
I think its just fine for people to leave the Church if its causing you pain. I think that God is very forgiving
and understands us better than we do. If your family is conservative in their interpretation you may not even realize that there are Mormons who embrace
the complexity that your familiy or missionaries could not be open to. See stillsmall voice's YouTube Nibley collection. My best friend joined the church. I said I loved her and had no opinion as long as no one blamed it on me.
DadsBlueAngel 2 years ago
It was the flood of the known world, not necessarily global, and it was probably caused by a polar shift.
The Mediteranian area was below sea level and the breach of the Gibralter range may have been small at first, weakening over hundreds or thousands of
years until a tsunami or quake broke it and caused a
catastrophic flood.
I'm afraid you may create a Sunday School in Reverse. Over aggressive Mormon Missionaries aren't the only wolves in the sheep's cote. God is Love.
DadsBlueAngel 2 years ago
Well, the Mormon Church does teach that the flood was a world wide event, not the localized event as you have described above. I know this is a popular approach now by Mormons to distance themselves from what is clearly absurd, but then that has been the modus operandi all along in Mormonism.
Thanks for stopping by.

Proud APOSTATE here. Oh yeah, I also deny the holy ghost. HA! You know why I can do this without being struck down like I was told would happen? BECAUSE IT'S FICTION! lol.

What makes you think you aren't already struck down. A 30 year old with a boobie fetish seems pretty primordial to me.

I joked about boobies on my homepage... but you are just fixating man! Get a set of silicon ones for yourself and you may feel less antsy about it. Let's talk about your problem. When did you first find you were obsessed with boobies and why did you feel it was wrong?

Or the Holy Ghost/Comforter/Higher power doesn't
really care that puny little you denied him. Hitler,
Hirohito, The Roman Ceasers, etc.. Committed this crime.. My opinion anyway. I "left the Church because a very sliimy dentist/bishop was interfering with my mrfical treatment in a way that eventually
caused me to lose a kidney. Strictly an evasive
manuever. I think the creator gave every creature
the will to survive, and I don't care, really, about my church records. Don't feel non-Mormon.
