Interesting video. I think I've had a guy pull a Roy St. Clair on me once during a local tournament. I was playing Machina Gadgets which practically adds cards to your hand every other turn so it was something that would fly over my head. I had no idea cheating could be so nasty to the point where you can use it to frame another player for cheating. I felt so bad about it I quit playing Yugioh competitively for awhile.

I used heavy storm and solemned their barrier then I saw that I heavy stormed his inferity necromancer. He tried to be cool and sweep all the cards to his grave and shuffle his grave but it didn't fool me because there were 0 monsters before I used heavy storm.

@RedRyanSox Even in MTG its easy to cheat. Some people seperate their land cards to make sure they get the right amount of lands. But unlike yugioh, Its more costly to cheat because if you do it wrong, you will get awkward hands anyway and will be forced to mulligan. That's one advantage of Magic over Yugioh, I won a Standard round by Mulliganing down to 4 game 2.However, This video is very easy to make sure I don't cheat.

There's also a cheating strategy I like to call "Unshuffling." Basically it's where your opponent is supposed to shuffle, but doesn't. Usually done by asking for life points. Let's say your opponent used Duality. It's Warning, Reborn, and DH. He picks the Warning, then places R and DH on his deck. He asks for life points or asks like he's thinking, sets two, then ends his turn. He never shuffled. It's tricky and isn't always useful but it's still cheating and easy to pull off.

there's a varient of the "bottom shuffling" thing that i call "top shuffling". Basically it works the same way but instead fo placing the opponent's good cards on the bottom, the player puts their own good cards near the top of the deck (which can be done mid-game, usually placing it there after using a card that searches from the deck, like Sangan). Then they shuffle in a similar way to bottom shuffling, but making sure to keep the top cards the same instead fo the bottom cards.

I've seen a few people cheat, simetimes I let them go through with it 'cause I know I'm going to win, then I can bring it up at they end. One I've seen for Exodia decks is when you win through exodia, the 5 peices are together. Some people then don't shuffle the deck properly and several peices will stay togehter...

most of these techniques are mitigated if you shuffle and cut their deck after they've shuffled.

I actually manage to shuffle my opponent's deck to bits so that they draw a lot of bad hands.

The Sangan search was pretty clever. The trick is to not let your opponent distract you like that, let him do the Sangan search before consulting the calc etc

i mostly do this when playing cards. but the risk is if you get caught, you get the shit beat out of you. luckily you would mostly get banned from your local shop. also, second dealing or bottom dealing is useful when cheating so watch after that. there's also a type of false shuffle where the WHOLE deck is back in the same position and its really hard to figure it out of the cheater is good.

I don't buy books on it like " The Expert at the Card Table" and practice hours for nothing. But when I'm the dealer, I won't regret to pull a few strings.
